In an open society like France one can live any way he /she wants and also experiment his/her new found ideas. But in a closed society that is not possible. If one desires to live an authentic life then he /she has to take the risk of swimming opposite to the stream. Thanks for the lecture on Jean Paul Sarre professor Sir.

Sir,Your in depth analysis and delivery on Sartre existentialism is inspired. Your chronological explanation on his existentialism, absurdism, free choice, authentic life, responsibility, badfaith, man is condemned to be free, existence precedes essence, being in itself, being for itself, other is hell,his literary thoughts with various references from normal life in order to understand his philosophy is useful to the novice like me and everyone.As advised, I will read sir,Rajadurai book also. Jean Paul Sartre Who wrote Being and nothingness and his auto biography ..The words.,.followed the existing pattern and made available his words to man kind. ..Producer of Tesla car ...worked day and night and offered a car that flies 100 km per hour.. Being myself means what? Don't i need others came to earth before me? Can somebody give answers ?
The true meaning of being oneself (myself) refers to the state of independence and not indifference to others. Our life becomes authentic only when we take the ultimate determination to decide on our own for ourselves and lead our life in a responsible manner without getting influenced by others. That's what the Sangam verse " theedhum nandrum pirarthara vaaraa ". Of course, one needs the other for the purpose of co-living so long as the other does not become a hell in terms of anything like love, affection, intellectually dominant and the like.

That "I" is like a Blank Computer. That "Think" is a Software. If there is no "Think" - You are left only with a Blank Computer - That is "I". After loading the Software "Think" - Computer performs accordingly.
