I love On Tour and TTWII but for different reasons. The split screen is great - almost two films for the price of one. Great content and collectibles as ever, Sean.
Thanks David 👍🏻 yes, the split screen certainly gives On Tour a look and feel all of it's own, and it was nice to see Baz Luhrmann pay homage to the technique in his movie
I think you may be right,72 was a very hard working year for him plus Lots of heartache personally. Great movie ,I love it and like everyone looking forward to seeing what hasn't been released yet
Cheers Paul 👍🏻 yes it definitely feels as though something significant had changed from the previous 2 or 3 years. Fingers crossed that we don't have too long to wait to see the unreleased footage, I mean, I know most of it's been available for years, but it will be great to see it in good quality
Hey Sean, great video ,you are right about the quality controle ,its a mess . Elvis was in fantastic form voice wise , yes he was pale in his face and I think it came from the grueling schedule of touring and don't forget that just a month before, Priscilla announced her leaving ,again you showed us some great books and cd's ,great collection my brother and a great review (as always😊) have a nice week 👍👍
Ha Ha Wouldn’t expect anything less from EPE!!! 😂 Waited forever for official audio for the concerts, the sonic quality is decent but debatable. Great video Sean. Enjoyed watching. 😊
Thanks Frankie, glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻 I do try not to grumble about something every episode, but with the poor levels of quality control we increasingly witness, it's not easy 🤣
I've said I love Elvis in 72. Those lorentzen books look great. Thanks for sharing Sean. I had that same shirt you're wearing till I wore it out. My friend uses to call it the "over the top " shirt. 😅.
Hi Juan, the Lorentzen books are nice, but the FTD Now In Person is better I think. I remember picking the same shirt up in Memphis in 02, but I'm pretty sure I must have got another later on, because I like them to be more fitted these days. Back then it was the big and baggy look I went for 🙂
Hi Sean, I was wondering whether the On Tour box would cover the whole year so thanks for that. As the MSG standalone book is out of my price range, this set looks like good value. I've picked up 2 early FTD books for £40 each this week, as well as King of Hawaii for £60. I've also picked up what I think is the Belard Astrodome book for £30. Gary
Hi Gary, you're certainly stocking up for Christmas! 😊 if that's the Houston 1970 book you mean, I sent my copy back for a refund as it was the worst print and picture quality I've ever seen, but I put that down to shoddy in-house printing by Amazon
@@sincerelyelvispresley Perhaps I've got your copy! 😂I'm working at about a 90% success rate with secondhand books and vinyl (not just Elvis)! Anything with that Chet Atkins guitar in I'm taking a chance on - that's what I would have taken home from the London exhibition if I could! Just received a copy of Essential Elvis Vol.1 on vinyl mint for £6.
Thanks for this video Sean. I have the 50th anniversary box cd; I like it but they could have made a little more effort). I also have the Jat book "Elvis the documentaries"..fabulous. About the last item, I agree, they had to focus only on the "On Tour" documentary so they could skip the third book. About the t-shirt ..what can I say? I'd better not express myself 😖
Hi Sean.. that shirt is official from EPE? Who did create it? A drunk? 😂😂😂 A shame because the tshirt is beautiful but ...what a mess 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ at this point they could write under "Aloha From Hawaii 1973 "and make it complete 😂😂
@@sincerelyelvispresley Absolutely. And having forgotten Ronnie T. in the credits had got me so mad. How little attention, in a box set celebrating 50 years. Too much carelessness lately...
@sincerelyelvispresley I would have liked it made like That's the Way It Is. More concert like. BUT, all the different screens mean they have so many Elvis concerts that could be made on DVD. Nice videos you make! Thank you!
Nice video Sean as always love the on tour books take my friend
Thanks Trevor, glad you enjoyed it, you take care too!

Thanks Sean, for another fantastic Elvis 👑review. The books are in excellent condition ❤.
Thank you Helen! pleased you enjoyed it 😊
Great video Seán. Elvis in '72 was awesome!!

@sincerelyelvispresley yeah I loved my shirt. Bought it at a flea market. Going to Graceland in early January, may buy a new one.
@SuperAtlantis1 Do they sell the Roots Of Fight designs there? Their stuff looks really cool
@@sincerelyelvispresley I am not sure
Excellent video Sean. Many thanks for such thorough reviews.
Thanks so much Gina, glad you enjoy them! 😊
Great review Sean
Thanks my friend, glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
It’s criminal that all the video isn’t released from ELVIS On Tour . Talk was Baz Leahman was going to sort it out, but nothing .
Definitely, but that will be coming at long last, it's just a case of when now

Definitely!
It was a very quick tour thou ,15 shows in 15 nights ! Way to much to be honest
Yes, he allowed himself to be pushed too hard, which was, unfortunately, always going to take a toll eventually
Never cared for Elvis on Tour because I was not a fan of the split screens.
It would certainly be a distraction if you weren't keen on the technique
