If youre not worried about door locks, you can wire electric windows with 3 wires. Manual window trucks come with the feed wire in the bcm already just have to jump power from driver to passenger. Really easy process. Takes 30 mins and works with factory switches. Dont have to take any dash apart. Just jump from light green feed wire off bcm
I have a 01 and I tried doing it but I don’t even have no way of getting power into the switches I’m not really sure what to do I was gonna buy the dash fuse junction could rlly use sum help thanks!
Could you explain it better? I bought in a junkyard all the arnes of both doors and the electric motors of the windows , but I dont know what is the easier and better way to do the conversion.
Hey bro im curently doing this swap but im swaping everything doors engine transmission complete dash and seats the only thing that im worring about is that im getting my parts from a suburban so i will have the rear doors windows and locks extra Do you think that my front windos will work even if the rear windows qre not pluged in My truck is a 2000 single cab silverado the other truck is a 2002 suburban
Ok. I have a 00 silverado. Base. When i swap the harness do i also swap the bcm as well.and then ive Heard i gotta have the ecm or bcm flashed to unlock it because the ecm and bcm.are paired to my vin.
You wanted to do more than just the windows right or you could’ve just put a kitin there and it would’ve saw this whole issue taking out the dash and everything
99-02 Silverado extended cab, but if you have a 99-02 you have to get the harness for those years but if you have 03-06 you need the harness for those years, Tahoes could work but i think they had extra plugs

@@alocamaro you’ll have extra plug by the kick panel I believe but that’s it but everything will work

What parts exactly you need for this swap??
Another harness from a 99-02 Silverado or Sierra extended cab or if you have a 03-06 then you’ll need the harness for that year

You can swap the hole dashboard and it’ll be easier but I wanted to get the harness cheap so I just swapped the harness
Just the harness? What about fuses,relays? Or just change the entire harness
It unplugs from underneath the fuse box but you don’t need the fuse box, your original works
What does a job like this cost.
I would charge about 600 and you buy the parts. But I wouldn’t do it, I don’t wanna be responsible for any damage

No don’t change it cause it’ll go in the security theft, I left the old one and everything worked

Did the change the door locks hinges as well an did the doors locked ? With the stock base computer under the dash?
