hahaha yeah, I know, location wise perhaps, but I've spent much time in both, and yes, they are a world apart. :) Scotland is heart-stoppingly beautiful.
Good video Scott!! You are correct .......the infastructure is definitely not ready for EV vehicles. I even test rode a few electric motorcycles...... they are eerily quiet 🤫 but not for me range wise. Maybe for short trips in the future but I am riding bikes since I was 11 years old . So at 66....... who knows how much longer I have!! My Goldwings will get me there!! I have a gasoline truck and car so I am set for the rest of my days!! Feel sorry for the kids of today!! Cruising was the 👌best!! They don't get off the couch anyway!! Keep up the good work Scott.....enjoying it all! P/S....I use to have long hair. And helmets were never a problem...... cut it every few months nowadays!! Hahaha 😆 😂
High there Scott. I have an 1989 Honda GL1500SE I restored some years back and only put about 500-1000 miles a year on it, only 48,000 miles on bike. Never had any problems with washing the bike at the car wash but last fall I washed it after a 250 mile end of season ride and washed it at the car wash, as I have after almost every ride for years, but this time it went to missing, cutting out, bucking on take off, won't idle and only runs right when the RPM's are above 2,000. You really have to keep reeving it up to keep her running at low RPM's. I just stored it and didn't mess with it last fall and now I'm trying to get her going this spring. I thought something just got wet and would dry out as it sat over the winter but "No It Didn't!!! It's doing the same thing this spring after setting for 5 months. Have any ideas why all of a sudden washing it caused this problem when it never has before? Thanks for your time & thoughts on this problem.
I have 3 electric bicycles. One is a fat tire full suspension mid drive with 160nm tq. Ebikes are a blast, but it takes me like 5hrs to charge. It will be awhile before battery density is high enough to make a eWing viable. I don’t know if a eMotorcycle could give me the same thrill as my Valkyrie. You were basically talking about a “catch can” in the last part of the video. Catch Cans are good for ALL vehicles with fuel injection, not just direct injection. Even Diesel engines can benefit from a catch can. I have a question Any plans to get a new or newer Gold Wing? Have a good weekend
Question: I have a 2000 Honda Goldwing 1500. The issue I am having is when I press on the start button the bike doesn't kick over right away. Have to press the button and hold it down for a few seconds before it wants to respond. Last summer I had a starter relay burn out. The one top right side of the battery. The fuse actually bonded itself to the harness and relay. Not sure if these things are connected problems or I have a bigger issue on hand. Because of the age of my bike no bike shop will touch it. Help
I've got a 1984 Honda goldwing 1200 GL interstate I have a starting issue still annoyed or starter relay has gone bad during this it smoked The wire on the main wiring harness it's a two prong Black box looking thing it has two wires running to it the black box the number on it is 322 4H1 it has burnt The wire how about a foot of the main wiring harness what is this and how can I fix it also the bike will not start by the switch
What oil do use in my Goldwing? Exactly what the manufacturer recommends. That’s it. I will never be that clever enough to think I know better than Mr Honda 😁
Unfortunately it's not as simple as that. Oil technology continually progresses. The oil types specified for use in your 1982 GL1100 (SE/SF at specific weights) no longer exists and has not been manufactured since 1988. Today's "Energy conserving" or "friction modifiers" didn't exist years ago, so they couldn't be considered for inclusion in owners manuals. That's why this discussion is ongoing - because there are oils today that look like they should work - but will cause problems.
Same here, it's excellent if you make sure to get the one for wet clutches (no friction modifiers as Scott mentioned). It's not cheap, but neither is a ruined engine, lol.
Seriously….. what’s good oil?? Summer ?? Winter ?? Weight?? Heavy ?? Light?? Regular or sythletic?? Depends on the blogs out there??? Oil wars?? Disagree!! What you could share the most common sense what type of oil according to factory and it’s weight ratio…. My father in law stated.. oil is oil but he didn’t know I’ve studied oil in college, company spent millions of dollars in research…. Are they the same??? Nope… cause there’s additive added to their specs. My opinion??? Customers should be aware what they putting in their engines. 😊
Agreed, but there's one more issue: Goldwings have been manufactured now for 47 years, and the different models require different oils. That's why I directed people to the GoldwingDocs web site, where this is discussed in extreme detail, on a model-by-model basis.
@@GoldwingDocs … it’s difficult nowadays… getting oil at your specs.. I normally buy oil from Walmart but now….. it’s all sythletic… had to shop elsewhere just to stay regular oil.. ( I’m sure there’s lots out there says “sythletic “ is okay). I simply olde school and staying with regular oil. I always change oil once a year before spring.
Scott I really don't know why someone needs to ask about your hair , this is wasting your time and others that need your help , I know you are a busy person but I really would appreciate if you can do a video of synchronization of the carbs on a GL1500, I have a 1999 GL 1500 49 state model, thanks for the help.
I am 100% against electric only vehicles...i am 100% for gas electric hybrid cars, i love the Prius, quality hybrids are what America needs, not full electric vehicles
I nearly choked on my tea. "Yorkshire - practically Scotland". That's like saying Michigan is practically Canada but a hundred times worse.

"What's up with your hair"? That is probably the funniest question you have answered on this channel.

Question about fork braces. Is the Blackwing brace still unavailable? If so, what’s the next best option?
So far it's unavailable, yes, unfortunately. You'll have to settle for a Superbrace, unless you can find one used.
Great content ! Thank's

I started my GL1500 and the starter kept spinning even with the kill switch and key off ?
