I need a cup of hot chocolate just to get through this. Watching your breath is making me shiver lol! Good video. Hopefully somebody will sponsor you a space heater.
Glad it helped. So far this box has been AWESOME!!! I'm on 37s now, and my 2-door drives like a dream on and off the trails! Zero regrets going with this setup.
@@JustEmptyEveryPocketniceee ,,,,, I’m currently on 37 as well but I’m stepping up to 40’s that’s why I’m looking into hydro steer hopefully they will have some discount for Xmas
More crazy on the way! I ordered the Dynatrac Serious Performance ProRock 44/60 Axle-Set for my Jeep yesterday. Installing those along with Adam's drive shafts and will be swapping out my 35s for 37s :)
Fantastic video. I may do this soon on my 2012 Rubicon JKU. Have you had a chance to get it on the highway? If so, how is the steering wander and return to center? Thanks!
@@palmetto33 A few months after this video, I installed ProRock axles (PR44U front & PR62 rear) along with a 4” lift and 37s; did a 4500km (3000 mi) round trip to Moab. Drove perfectly; better than it ever has really. No wandering at all; returns to center as it should.
Hey man. I’ve got a ton of slop in my OEM steering. Like I can turn the wheel left and right by 8 inches and nothing will happen to the wheels. Does this kit address this issue? Do you know of anything I can do to fix this with the OEM equipment?
Your oem box is so done. Yes this will fix that. I just put Dynatrac axles in mine and drove 4500km to Moab. Drove like dream; 2 fingers on the wheel and no wondering on the highway. If you are planning on 40s you may want to go with the hydro assist option.
@@JustEmptyEveryPocket Thanks for the reply. Yeah I figured as much. I plan on going 39s (ko2s) with dynatrac axles here shortly. Can I install the steering box you have for now and add the hydro assist later? Thanks!
Yes; just leave the plugs in the box. Be sure to get the SG688R right away since you’re planning on going hydro. I was on the fence; can always port my SG688 later, but it handles my 37s with zero issues.

I am running that box with the oem pump, high steer, 37"s on a 13 jkur with good results.
I just upgraded to ProRock axles and 37s; that box is a beast.
I just have been contemplating this.
@@Thexkidd just upgraded to 37s….no regrets doing this. It’s been absolutely solid and drives like a dream on and off the trails.
Crazy install.

Stick shift! Me too, but swapped in a tremc 4050 5 sp.
How was that swap btw?
