watching this makes me realize how the way all the 70’s heartthrobs were marketed towards young girls is oddly similar to modern day kpop idols. from the extreme dieting, squeaky-clean image to them all having their own personas carefully marketed to make the fans attached, learn and obsess over every little detail about them and spend more money. i’m actually quite guilty of this myself! i’ve been a fan of bts since i was 11, i’m now 17 and still love bts and many other kpop groups. it’s so interesting how history repeats itself and teenage girls never really change. thank you for this video it was an extremely fun watch as a fangirl and history lover myself. 😊
You nailed it, Rayanne. I don’t know what BTS is (I’ll look it up!) but the marketing is to that young, impressionable girl (and boy!) But I guess a healthy dose of “crushing” isn’t so bad if it stays in perspective.
@@JeannieBASMR kpop means korean pop! it’s a genre/industry coming out of south korea where they train people from a young age in singing, dancing, rapping, acting and even languages, as well as putting them on strict diets. These people are then usually put into a group (or become a solo singer, though groups are more common) and are definitely highly produced and marketed with their picture-perfect images and catchy music in multiple languages (they often like to sprinkle little english words or phrases in the korean songs to seem more trendy and appeal to people worldwide, sometimes doing full songs in english or japanese). bts is definitely the most popular in the industry but there are plenty more like them

I love ur asmr videos so much but I love even more how you call out the awful ways in which girls are influenced like the weight aspect in this! It makes me feel so much more normal as we’re still influenced like this now unfortunately all over social media ❤🥰🥰
I understand. It’s reprehensible. I bought into it and so did a billion other girls…feeling like they weren’t good enough in their own skin. I love that today we do see more diversity in body shapes and sizes.
I'm 25 and remember Tiger Beat! I was inlove with the Jonas Bros., Justin Bieber, and One Direction as a preteen-teenager. Now I'm head over heels with all of the members of BTS. I loveeeed your video I'm so happy so many of us shared this part of girlhood!
My grandmother graduated in 71 and when you flipped to the wigs page I automatically thought of her senior photo. Her mother made her wear a wig because my grandmother cut her hair short and her mother was not happy about that.
I'm 35. My celebrity crush has been Tom Selleck for as long as I can remember. I LOVE that you're talking about how unhealthy these weight "standards" in Hollywood are. They are SO damaging. And hearing our mama say so is a deeply healing thing.
Gosh I’m so glad you talked about how crazy body standards were. I’m 5’7” and 125-130 lbs and doctors are always saying how thin I am and to make sure to eat lots of fat, I can’t imagine being 92 lbs that must be incredibly unhealthy.
Aww that’s so interesting x my mum was a teen in the 70s/80s in the GDR (East Germany), and although she was never boy crazy and always very shy and modest she admitted to having a crush on Patrick Swayze haha 😂
My mum was born in 1958, so she was a sweet little 13 year old in 1971. I wonder who she had crushes on back then. I miss her every single day I looked at photos of her yesterday as a young girl a few days ago, and wondered what it would like to be a teen in the 70s. Thank you so much for sharing Jeannie 💓
This is so sweet, Rachael. I'll bet she'd love looking down memory lane with these pics. It's lovely that you can see this era a bit through her eyes in a way.
@@highaltitude787 Most women who were teenagers in the 70s did not have a crush on Elvis, that was our Mother's era. I’m 21 and I often find myself envious of girls who grew up pre-Internet. But the emphasis on weight and weight loss in these magazines were just awful. Societal pressure to be beautiful will seemingly always exist, but it seems to be much more subliminal/lowkey now.
Yes - and diet pills were soooo common. The Rainbow Diet came from the 70s, I believe. It was named that for all the colored pills. Sad. I think we see more diversity in body shapes and sizes in advertising now .
Although dieting to an extreme is bad just look at how obese people are even children are chubby that’s just not healthy. Too many takeaways and junk food.
Speaking as a guy who grew up pre-internet (I'm 45), I like curvy women. A lot of us do. Don't ever put yourself down because you gained a few pounds or because you don't look the way someone else wants you to look.
i’m a teen guy now (19) and i’m pretty head over heels for olivia rodrigo. i’ve got posters, records, pulled a space from a magazine- whole thing haha! when i was younger i was really all about selena gomez, and me and my guy friends used to talk about pretty girls on tv back in high school. so don’t worry i think we’ve all been bonkers for a celebrity at some point 😁🥰
I immediately recognize David Cassidy face 😂 I’m actually 22 but grew up watching partridge family when I was early in middle school. Their music is a bop and his voice was 😩🤚🏻✨✨✨
I’m in my mid twenties and I had Tiger Beat as a pre-teen/teen! How funny!!! Although my covers were full of The Jonas Brothers and Disney Channel stars 🤣 I also was in love with several cartoons 😋 Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid, Shang from Mulan, Dmitri from Anastasia… the list goes on, clearly I have a thing for tall dark and handsome!
I’m also in my twenties and, bestie, we have the same taste! If a magazine had the jo bros I had to have it 😂 (and same Disney men - Dimitri was the BLUEPRINT!)
I was only 5 yrs when David Cassidy was huge. But if i was 15, at that time, i would just swoon over him❤! I have a couple of his albums and love his "breathy" voice! My big heartthrob was Rick Springfield. I had to get every 16 and Tiger Beat mags that he was in. Luckily, years ago, I met him. I brought with me all of his Australian albums from the early 70's. He was totally "wowed" when he saw these and signed all of them for me! He was very sweet and easy to talk to. He will always be my teen idol❤❤❤
I liked Rick also! I saw him in concert in a she 80s and just again last summer! He was awesome as ever! (And he jumped into my chair during the concert!)
Omg, I remember Tiger Beat!!! We still had it in 97-99 cause I grew up loving Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, Leo DiCaprio so those were my generation heartthrobs 🥰💯❤️ thank you for sharing these!!
As a teenage boy I absolutely had some head over heals crushes, but I kept mine very secretive. I am not sure anyone in my family or friends of that time could even name one hahaha
your eye makeup adorns and enhances your eyes so perfectly 💗💗 also I love seeing the celebrity crushes of the past! as a teen girl, I doubt teens will ever stop having celebrity crushes haha
Wow! That bit about the diet culture of the time was interesting! It's so sad how a lot of those beauty standards still linger. When I was 8 years old, I remember thinking my thighs were huge. And I was a very healthy healthy weight for a girl of my height and age. That's crazy how it gets in our heads that young! Where did I even get the idea my thighs were huge?? These days, I am glad we see more shapes and sizes represented! Gives me hope for the little girls of the future 💕 wonderful video, Jeannie! Happy new year!
this is super cute!!! im 23 and i remember buying Tiger Beat magazines religiously back when i was 12-15 and obsessed with One Direction haha. I had tons of those magazines, unfortunately im pretty sure my mom threw them away at some point 😢 I would have loved to keep a couple of them for when i was older. Seeing this was super interesting, i think teens are always the same regardless of the time. I also too had crushes on cartoons as a child, even now, so dont feel bad about it! 😂.
I looove David Cassidy and im 21!!! I grew up on the Partridge Family DVDs so this was really fun for me to see since I didnt get to live through that era! Thank you!
As a young 13-15 year old I think David Cassidy was my main heartthrob. My first boyfriend even bought me his album (the one with Daydreamer 😍 on it). I used to buy the TV Week here in Australia which had a poster of a different music artist in it every week and I stuck these on my bedroom walls around 1974; I managed to completely cover all 4 walls; all my friends did the same :)
My mom loved David Cassidy and Donny Osmond! She saw David when she was 15 and still has her ticket stub! I used to love getting Tiger Beat magazines when I was younger and still have a few of them saved. That was when I was sure I would marry one of the guys from New Kids on the Block!🤣 I'm 41, but it's always amazing to see teen idols from different years!❤️
Jeannie you are so gorgeous!! U look like princess Diana and even more so in this outfit! Loved the cute video btw so cute to see how all women have shared this experience aw
This was so fascinating. What a time capsule. Some of the language used especially for the ads and weight loss stuff just had me 🤯🤯🤯 I can't imagine a magazine saying anything like that nowadays. Really fascinating to see. Thanks for this little window to the past ! Happy New year 🎉
I love David Cassidy so much! I was lucky enough to see him in concert a few times. I grew up watching reruns of The Partridge Family with my mom and thought David was so dreamy. These magazines are incredible. So happy that I found your channel today
The teenage crushes are so much fun. I will be taking my young son to a Bruce Springsteen concert this month and it made me remember the Bravo posters of hot young Bruce when I was a teenage girl in the 80s. Your videos are very interesting, uplifting and relaxing at the same time. Thank you!
i'm english and was hopelessly and helplessly in love with david cassidy, david soul too.... what a feeling! JACKIE was the magazine of my time. i think this is where i fell in love with americana. not to forget clark gable, john wayne, burt reynolds... dreamy times. ..... you are my number one asmr artist, your whole aura gives me the most amazing tingles. electrifying. thank you, you found the perfect pastime for you... and us lol
The Speed Racer story is so funny. When my grandma was a teen she was the same way with Dark Shadows. She was so obsessed with Barnabas Collins, she actually found a ring that looked just like the one he had. Love these 70s magazine videos!!
I loved David Cassidy! I know I'm too young, lol, but my mom and I used to watch reruns of The Partridge Family and I knew so many of his songs by heart! I was so sad when he passed. My mom really loved his brother though, and we watched reruns of The Hardy Boys too! She was a big fan of The Monkees too, and Bay City Rollers. I love her for introducing me to some good music!
Awwwww! Thank you Jeannie. I'm so pleased you like the mug and water bottle. David Cassidy was one of my first crushes, also. It was so enlightening and a little disturbing (lol) to peruse the Tiger Beat. Wow, how things have changed, yet stayed the same. I consider you my soul sister. Happy 2023! Oh, and "Go, go Speed Racer, Go!"
Before David past away I saw him on a ghost story tv show and he really seemed to me to be a nice person. He may have gone through the hollywood experience but I think he remained a truly nice person. I liked his brother Shawn Cassidy on the Hardy Boy's and his Dad Jack on Columbo - I miss the 70s
I thought I was the only one who had a crush on cartoon characters. Danny phantom is STILL MY man 😂 as a new subscriber I'm lovingggg your videos. Bringing people together all over the world is the true goal. Keep doing you mama J! Sending much love ❤
Jeannie, I’m 50. I remember all of those things too. My older sister is 54. Born in the early 70’s grew up in the 80’s. I’m the last generation who went to college without internet. And thank God for that. ❤
No worries, Jeannie! I think all of us these days have had our own phases of crushing on one or two cartoon characters! Perhaps you're just the original trailblazer. 😌💖😉
i’d really love to hear from whomever won the contest to be adopted by the Osmond family. I’d love to hear what her experience was really like for that week.

I love the paper quality of vintage magazines. I feel like it was higher quality than what you get from some magazines now. There’s a reason they’ve lasted 50 years! But anyway, this was lovely and relaxing, Jeannie! Happy New Year!
I begged for Teen Beat and Tiger Beat every trip to the grocery store. River Phoenix, Ralph Macchio, the two Coreys and Kirk Cameron were all over my walls. I don’t remember the messaging about beauty and body image, but they were there. Even at 48, they’re still with me.
i was born in 1999 & i absolutely LOVED tiger beat as a kid/preteen!! it was one of the few places i could get posters of *MY* heartthrobs! also, my parents got a dvd boxed set of The Partridge Family show when i was a kid, and i was also in love with David Cassidy 😅 but my “david cassidy” was probably either justin bieber or taylor lautner 😭
I remember watching a Patridge Family documentary, where Susan Dey spoke about her dieting issues as a teen. She said that ALL she would eat was carrots. So much so, that her fingers and skin began turning orange. So awful! 😢
And all for what...a size? I'm sure she was so miserable and afraid of losing her role if she had a couple pounds over her poor, skinny frame. Gosh - I hope we learn something from these things. XOX
Oh I haven't even watched the whole video yet, but I had to pop on here to say that after your Seventeen Magazine video, I kept thinking about how Tiger Beat Magazine was another favorite in the late 70s/early 80s! We were huge Shaun Cassidy fans and had the pleasure to see David on Broadway in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Shaun in 1990 in Blood Brothers in the West End. The pinnacle was seeing Blood Brothers on Broadway a few months later with both David and Shaun playing the twin brothers separated at birth. Their performances were top-notch. Thank you so much for another wonderful, relaxing trip back to my childhood!❤️
Love these walks down “Memory Lane.” I always watched The Partridge Family, but my heartthrob was Desi Arnaz, Jr., of Dino, Desi, and Billy. However, my first concert was The Monkees at the Oakland Coliseum. I was in 7th or 8th grade and my girlfriend’s dad took the two of us. I screamed through the whole concert. Her dad must’ve thought I was crazy. 😂
David Cassidy was so handsome, definitely would have been a heartthrob of mine in that time frame. I adore him in Partridge Family. I am such an old soul for sure ☮️ So happy to have stumbled upon your asmr channel 💚
Jeannie, I could listen to/watch you flip through old magazines all day long. It’s truly my favorite part of your channel, and I had so much fun with this one, hearing about your celebrity crushes from back in the day and seeing how different and yet, how similar, things were. Thank you for this!
In February of this year my grandpa and grandpa (plus all their kids) got to see a Donny Osmond show and go backstage to talk to him! My uncle somehow knows him, so that's super cool. My grandma looooves him and I'm glad she got to see him. Hopefully some magical turn out will happen and I'll get to meet Daniel Ricciardo in my 60s too 😂😂

Thanks for this, so nostalgic! I was a teen in the 80´s and my celebrity crushes were Limahl from Kajagoogoo and Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran, had posters all over my walls. I bought a lot of US magazines in mid 80´s like Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Allure, Mademoiselle, Harpers Bazaar etc because I also was facinated by the `Top Model` era of that time. My mom was 12 in 1971. She recently passed away. It was fun to look at the magazine and imagine her looking through the magazine. Thank you for sharing.❤
My condolences. I hope your life has been amazing in these past six months ❤
“I was in love with a cartoon” 😂😂this gave me a good giggle Ms Jeannie 💙! I think I felt this way about He-Man when I would watch it as a kid 😊
Hey! Those cartoon guys are perfect! Lol!
I'm 25 and remember Tiger Beat! I was inlove with the Jonas Bros., Justin Bieber, and One Direction as a preteen-teenager. Now I'm head over heels with all of the members of BTS. I loveeeed your video I'm so happy so many of us shared this part of girlhood!
finding an army in the wild omg🫡💜💜
armyyyy
Same!!
@@g100-w6j haha so true
Army! I simp for Ricky Nelson and Min Yoongi equally
My grandmother graduated in 71 and when you flipped to the wigs page I automatically thought of her senior photo. Her mother made her wear a wig because my grandmother cut her hair short and her mother was not happy about that.
What a story! I love it!! My mom gave me a few bad haircuts in my day, too! But most moms did that! Lol!
I'm 35. My celebrity crush has been Tom Selleck for as long as I can remember.
I LOVE that you're talking about how unhealthy these weight "standards" in Hollywood are. They are SO damaging. And hearing our mama say so is a deeply healing thing.
I was born in the 80s but had I been born 15 years earlier, I would have been OBSESSED with David Cassidy. He was extremely good looking.
i was born in 1998 and same, i have the partridge family dvds--sometimes i just stare at him and forget to pay attention to the show haha
Gosh I’m so glad you talked about how crazy body standards were. I’m 5’7” and 125-130 lbs and doctors are always saying how thin I am and to make sure to eat lots of fat, I can’t imagine being 92 lbs that must be incredibly unhealthy.
And the starving they had to do. Anorexia was encouraged. 😕
In 1971 I was 14 and remember Tiger Beat so well. I may have kissed David Cassidy’s face on the cover, but I’m not saying 🤫 😂
😁🤣🥰😘😘😘
Aww that’s so interesting x my mum was a teen in the 70s/80s in the GDR (East Germany), and although she was never boy crazy and always very shy and modest she admitted to having a crush on Patrick Swayze haha 😂
Patrick Swayze was cute! 😍😁
I guarantee she crushed on Elvis as millions of women did
@@highaltitude787 Most women who were teenagers in the 70s did not have a crush on Elvis, that was our Mother's era. That doesn't mean later when they were much older they didn't develop a crush on Elvis. Today as a grown woman I like Elvis but when I was a teenager it was David Cassidy, Bobby Sherman and later John Travolta for me.
@@jamilgotcher5456 My mom sure did!!! my mom was born in 1955 and she was in love with Tom Jones, Elvis, etc. So don't say that most people didn't LOTS OF people did!
🥰♥️💜👉🏽
I immediately recognize David Cassidy face 😂 I’m actually 22 but grew up watching partridge family when I was early in middle school. Their music is a bop and his voice was 😩🤚🏻✨✨✨
Yes - he was a dream!!
Most definitely left us too soon. D. Cassidy a grand talent. Thank you for sharing that memory
I’m in my mid twenties and I had Tiger Beat as a pre-teen/teen! How funny!!! Although my covers were full of The Jonas Brothers and Disney Channel stars 🤣
I also was in love with several cartoons 😋 Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid, Shang from Mulan, Dmitri from Anastasia… the list goes on, clearly I have a thing for tall dark and handsome!
7:40 "the fact that he's a cartoon didn't matter" I am in my 30s and still relate lol!
Cartoon crushes were the best!
I was head over heels for Nancy McKeon. She played Jo in the series The Facts of Life. I think every guy loved her
your eye makeup adorns and enhances your eyes so perfectly 💗💗 also I love seeing the celebrity crushes of the past! as a teen girl, I doubt teens will ever stop having celebrity crushes haha
You’re right! The crushes never end! 🥰♥️
I thought the same thing! I remember thinking I was so “less than” the perfect image. Crazy! And unnecessary.
Jeannie B, you are so dear, aware and intelligent❤️
Aw, thank you! 🥰
As someone who grew up in the 80s as a teenager I can relate to having all this different heart throbs😂
this is super cute!!! im 23 and i remember buying Tiger Beat magazines religiously back when i was 12-15 and obsessed with One Direction haha.
Thank you!
You've got great taste, luv!
That was when I was sure I would marry one of the guys from New Kids on the Block!🤣
I'm 41, but it's always amazing to see teen idols from different years!❤️
My girls LOVED NKOTB as well! The same like I loved David Cassidy!
Jeannie you are so gorgeous!! U look like princess Diana and even more so in this outfit! Loved the cute video btw so cute to see how all women have shared this experience aw
Thank you so much!!
This was so fascinating. What a time capsule. Some of the language used especially for the ads and weight loss stuff just had me 🤯🤯🤯 I can't imagine a magazine saying anything like that nowadays. Really fascinating to see. Thanks for this little window to the past ! Happy New year 🎉
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much, Jess.
I love David Cassidy so much! I was lucky enough to see him in concert a few times. I grew up watching reruns of The Partridge Family with my mom and thought David was so dreamy. These magazines are incredible. So happy that I found your channel today
Wow - I’m so jealous!! 😁
1971 crushes? I'm probably 25 yrs too young but you still got it going on
🤣🤣🤣
The teenage crushes are so much fun. I will be taking my young son to a Bruce Springsteen concert this month and it made me remember the Bravo posters of hot young Bruce when I was a teenage girl in the 80s. Your videos are very interesting, uplifting and relaxing at the same time. Thank you!
That is awesome!
i'm english and was hopelessly and helplessly in love with david cassidy, david soul too.... what a feeling! JACKIE was the magazine of my time. i think this is where i fell in love with americana. not to forget clark gable, john wayne, burt reynolds... dreamy times. ..... you are my number one asmr artist, your whole aura gives me the most amazing tingles. electrifying. thank you, you found the perfect pastime for you... and us lol
Thank you!
The Speed Racer story is so funny. When my grandma was a teen she was the same way with Dark Shadows. She was so obsessed with Barnabas Collins, she actually found a ring that looked just like the one he had. Love these 70s magazine videos!!
So cool!
Only just came across your channel and I am instantly in love with your videos ❤️
Welcome!! I’m so glad you’re here!
You’re amazing and you look fantastic - so youthful. Beautiful inside and out.
Thank you so much!
Thanks again for my new favorite mug!! And yes, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
These types of videos are so fun!
It’s so interesting to see older generations crushes!
💜♥️💜
I thought I was the only one who had a crush on cartoon characters. Danny phantom is STILL MY man 😂 as a new subscriber I'm lovingggg your videos. Bringing people together all over the world is the true goal. Keep doing you mama J! Sending much love ❤
Thank you so much! I appreciate this!
David Cassidy and Bobby Sherman were my favorites. ☺️
One Christmas (early 80’s), my sister and I got Donny and Marie microphones that connected to the stereo and through the speakers. We loved them!
That’s so cool! 🎤
i’d really love to hear from whomever won the contest to be adopted by the Osmond family. I’d love to hear what her experience was really like for that week.
I was the same over David Cassidy!
I was born in 1971 /I sure do miss the 70s /I was just a young kid then but have a very vivid memory of a few things / I remember one of my cousins having a big crush on David Cassidy / I remember the great music and good movies that aired /I remember when I watched grease and Saturday Night Fever at the Drive Inn / I just loved the 70s so much /I would do anything to go back to those days ...
Great memories! Your cousin had great taste!! 😁
I love the paper quality of vintage magazines. I feel like it was higher quality than what you get from some magazines now. There’s a reason they’ve lasted 50 years!
But anyway, this was lovely and relaxing, Jeannie! Happy New Year!
Good point! And happy new year to you as well!
Of course! That’s a great story! Thank you for sharing!
Oh, how awesome!
Wow~ I wish I still had all those magazines!❤Looked into those eyes in those posters & dreamed sweet dreams~😂
The Monkees were all pretty dang cute!
desi was a cutie! saw him on here’s lucy (i'm a huge fan of hers)
David Cassidy was so handsome, definitely would have been a heartthrob of mine in that time frame. I adore him in Partridge Family. I am such an old soul for sure ☮️ So happy to have stumbled upon your asmr channel 💚
Same here! Very glad you’re here. And yes, David Cassidy was a cutie pie! 🥰
Absolutely LOVE these magazines walk throughs. Please do more!
You got it!
Your husband is one lucky fellow. You are a fountain of gentleness.
Oh, he gets to see the lightening and thunder once in a while - trust me! 😂🤣🤣
Jeannie, I could listen to/watch you flip through old magazines all day long. It’s truly my favorite part of your channel, and I had so much fun with this one, hearing about your celebrity crushes from back in the day and seeing how different and yet, how similar, things were. Thank you for this!
Wow, thank you!
In February of this year my grandpa and grandpa (plus all their kids) got to see a Donny Osmond show and go backstage to talk to him! My uncle somehow knows him, so that's super cool. My grandma looooves him and I'm glad she got to see him. Hopefully some magical turn out will happen and I'll get to meet Daniel Ricciardo in my 60s too 😂😂
Stumbled upon this video on my recommended and I absolutely love your energy! You are so natural in front of the camera. I feel like you’re talking directly to me🥺
Thank you so much, Tiana. That means a lot to me, luv. 💕♥️💕
I was born in ‘95. I love David Cassidy. I was such a partridge family fan! ❤️
i love your vintage magazine readthroughs!
Glad you like them!
Girl I bet you were a cutie in the 70s, bc you’re a stunner now! ❤❤❤
Aw, thank you! 🥰
i absolutely love your channel, i'm a new subscriber. i was born in the year 2000, however i've always been obsessed with the 60's and 70's and everything that has to do with those decades. this was such a fun video looking at all these teeny bopper magazines with pictures of those dreamy guys.. shaun cassidy is definitely my 70's crush, and david is cute too!!♥️
David and Bobby were gorgeous!! But my heart will always belong to Michael Nesmith, and The Monkees!!!
Oh, he was a doll!!!
Would be fun if you could find an 80`s magazine and make a similar video too. /Greetings from a new follower from Sweden!
Duran Duran was not of my generation but I absorbed a love of it through my dad who is a total “Durani!” I’ve always been partial to John Taylor 😊
@@mittensisnotacat6161 Ooh, your dad have Good taste in music then👌🎧🎼I’m still a ’Durani’😊Yes, John was a cutie too and Very interesting to listen to in interviews, I have his autobiography📖🤩👍
i didn't realize tiger beat has been around that long! i read it religiously when i was 12/13 about 10 years ago, my dad would buy me one at the grocery store every month and i covered my walls topto bottom in one direction posters from them!
Donny Osmond and David Cassidy were very handsome! You're one of the view TH-cam channels I'm subscribed to and this is why. 🙃 EDIT: I was born in the early '90s so I couldn't live with myself if I don't also mention Corey Haim or the legendary Jonathan Taylor Thomas. I know there are so many others (Leo, Joey Lawrence, etc.) and I love how every decade has its heartthrobs that we can all appreciate regardless. It's beautiful thing! One more but from the '60s: Johnny Crawford. So handsome, a great actor and wonderful singer.
Aw, that's so sweet! Thank you - and yes, I still feel that pitter-patter in my heart when I remember my crushes!
Ooh Donny is still pretty handsome and has the same adorable personality. When he was on the Masked Singer I knew it was him instantly 👍
jeannie, i feel as though i have watched this video 300 million times!! every time i need to fall asleep quickly, i come here. i’ve never heard the ending, i always fall asleep so fast. i love your magazine videos so much ❤️❤️
Wonderful!
Tiger beat😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Right? Our TMZ of the day! ;o)
I still have my old tiger beat and teen beat mags. It had guys like Devon Sawa, Rider Strong, Joshua Jackson, etc. Ahhh the '90s 😩😍
I love your pink tweedy jacket, that is either Chanel or Chanelesque ! Also I loveee this chunky knit trend in blankets and wraps, it’s so cute and modern - and pink is my favorite color too 💞
Love this video! Even as someone older I don’t think being in love with a cartoon is all that weird as long as you don’t take it seriously, if cartoons can make you feel happy, or sad, or angry, or anything else, why not love? Maybe I’m overthinking it, thank you for the wonderful video!
Thank you! Yeah, Speed Racer was my special cartoon love! 🥰
It’s nice to hear about your celebrity crushes/see fangirl culture back then! Personally I’ve been a fan of the boy band BTS for 8 years and can relate to buying anything with them on it haha 💜
I LOVE magazines ❤️ unfortunately I can't find any nowadays 🥺 people stopped reading since so long time , everything thing now is electronic 🥺 I wish I can find some magazines 🙏
Yikes at 20:15 all those girls were underweight according BMI, especially Susan Dey (she is severely underweight).
Yes - severely. Although some weren't too bad. I think I read an article in the past few years where Susan Dey addresses anorexia.
Thank you for the memories. We would walk to the 7-11 and buy Tiger beat and Bazooka bubble gum. Lol.. those were the best days of our lives!!❤️❤️❤️
amazing video. I'm your fan +👍🔔
Thank you so much! 🤗
I used to watch the partridge family every time it came on. Thank you for sharing.
I’m 25 but still a fan of Maureen McCormick! Right now I’m a fan of Kpop, Red Velvet just to name one girl group. But, I started to watch The Brady Bunch when I was around 9? There was a huge marathon and I was HOOKED! Maureen actually has spoken to me on Twitter before! I was so happy lol
I'm 24 and one Christmas (I think I was 6?) my mom put on Brady Bunch in the kitchen while I was practicing in there with my new rollerblades. I was hooked and eventually my parents got my siblings and I the DVD set 😄
In the early 1970's, I had a crush on Marlo Thomas and Barbara Eden.
