I agree that certain perfumes do provoke very specific memories. My mom's perfumes are very memory producing but what REALLY brings me back is one of my own: Love's Baby Soft Fresh Lemon. I wore all of the Love's scents but lemon takes me back to The Roller Drome, holding hands with my first boyfriend during "couples only skate." Really enjoyed this magazine flip-through. So many memories (positive and negative) from the ads. Thank you!

My scent memory is my mum’s favourite “going out” perfume, Gucci Rush (the one in the red box) whether it was a family get together or her going out with friends that smell just reminds me of fun times. My mum passed away a year ago and we put it in with her so she can keep smelling great while going out on the town in heaven.
Jeannie you’ve really helped me over this past year to calm my mind and keep my overactive brain at ease, you’ve given me a sense of peace and calm that I’ve missed when mum was still alive. I am truly grateful, please just keep being you❤️

The scent of the forest waking up in spring and the scent of the sea bring me right back to my quiet, peaceful home village. It's a positive memory. The scent of salty gravel and sand bring me back to my time in the Finnish Defense Forces, which is a mixed bag of feelings and memories in itself. Scent memory is wild.

Lavender is a scent that brings me freshness and the feeling of being on a holiday at the Provence.
Another memory of scent : we visited Parc guell in Barcelona and it was really hot. With all those little stones I was literally burning. About to faint when we reached our bus. As I was seated, about to pass out, there was a lady next to me with far too much perfume on her… but it brought me back to my senses. So I was very grateful.

My grandma's kitchen ALWAYS smell coffee and I'm obsessed with it ! I know it's sound very " classic " but it's a very particular smell that I cannot describe it's like a mix of coffee and clean space smell ( she's a cleaning maniac 😂 ) and it's one of the best smell ! I've NEVER smell the same kind of odors anywhere else even if my living room smell coffee it's not the same 😂 I can only visit my grandma 1-2 times a year since she lives far from me, but that was the same smell and the same house since I was a child, and everytime I pass the door, the memories kick me and makes me so happy 🥰🥰🥰🥰

My best scent memory is kinda weird. It’s blackberries mixed with car smoke. When I was growing up I used to be around my nans almost every other weekend and my nan lived in a small council house in the not so prettiest part of south london (where I spent most of my childhood tho) and we used to go pick blackberries off of a wall which was right next to a busy road. The blackberries always smelt so fresh and strong no matter how much fumes had touched them and the fresh smell mixed with the strong scent of smoke and petrol is a smell I’ll never forget. 🙏

My best scent memory is the smell of my Grandparent's house. I can't describe it. It wasn't perfumy or anything like that. But it's a scent I miss. They both have passed on now, and their home was sold, and I miss them and all those memories. I also have a bottle of my Grandmother's perfume, and when I'm sad or anxious, I take the cap off and smell it...it's comforting, the closest thing to getting a hug from her again. Magazine flip throughs are my absolute favorite. I also love finding older magazines and flipping through them.
Scent memory: I can't actively remember the scent but it has to be my Gradma's perfume. It was some sort of Avon perfume. She was so soft and warm and safe feeling and as a child I loved to put my head on her chest and feel protected. I have some of her old stuff and sometimes I'll come across it and it still smells like her!
Also the smell of my mom or my grandfather's cooking. Just the best.

My favorite scent memory would have to be fresh lilacs. They don’t bloom for very long (at most a month) so it was always a very special time of the year. Always used to bring bundles for teachers and to leave in my locker as a kid!

hey jeannie. i know this is an old video, but i just wanted to say, you provide a lot of hope and reassurance. it actually made me tear up hearing you lightly gush about your husband buying your (very beautiful) jewelry. it is really easy to get caught up in the negativity of marriage, and you are a woman who deserves that happiness - it just made me really happy to hear. i hope you both are doing well, thank you for this entire video :-)

    Scents that make me nostalgic:
Watered down bleach. I remember having to stay late at preschool because my mom worked late, and the teacher would spray everything down with watered-down bleach and to me it smelled so good.
Pine trees/burning leaves. I was always outside when I was a kid. Brings back good memories.
A perfume called Red Door. I remember smelling it on quite a few women who gave me asmr before I knew what asmr was. 😆

The smell of the ride Star Tours at Disneyland. It reminds me of being with my dad, just him and me. It’s not a pleasant smell, more like a metallic/oily smell, but it’s very distinct. I sometimes catch it when I’m on an escalator, and memories flood back.

My favorite scent memory is from my childhood. Waking up every morning to the smell of my mom brewing her morning coffee. She’d wake up super early, have her coffee, her time of solitude for reading and relaxing, and then she’d take on raising 6 kids as they woke up. She’s amazing! I always think of her and smile while I smell fresh coffee brewing. ❤

I believe my favorite scent memory would have to be the smell of my grandparents' AC. I actually don't know the name of it, but it would sit on the house wall kind of by a window. Every time they would turn it on, it would be loud, but it made me feel comfortable. It was like home, but the smell it gave was like a cold "dusy" smell. Might sound a little strange, but it's something I wish I could smell again 🥹❤️
