This Will Make You Believe In Creation Science! with Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson | Traced: Episode 11

  • The scientific establishment laid out a standard for biblical creationists to meet decades ago: lay out testable scientific models that generate reliable predictions. Dr. Jeanson has met and exceeded that "gold standard" with his new genetic research confirming biblical timelines.
It’s groundbreaking scientific research that provides revolutionary discoveries about “race,” ethnicity, and even human history. And it’s only possible because the researcher, Harvard-trained Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson, starts with the history and the timeline God has given us in his Word.

It comes as no surprise that she does struggle with it given her education, but I will not give up hope or give up on her! God Bless 🥰

      God made a human body that processes more instructions per second than every computer in the world combined, using a mere 20 watts of electricity. He is beyond comprehension, he has more thoughts in a single second then every living organism combined from the beginning of the creation to the end.       It's the ridicule that ultimately shows itself as an unstable approach to science. Remember;
If darwins theory of natural selection is true, it spells an end to human rationality. This idea of "God & then Science separate" was set up in Europe by the atheists/Marxist/communists, showing themselves as scientifically illiterate by standing on one theory and swearing by it. .
If the mind has been cobbled together by mindless undirected processes why should we trust our cognitive faculties and the validity of anything we think and produce?
Human reasoning and consciousness can't be answered for by the evolutionists but the scientists that are using theory of relativity and quantum mechanics are saying WE ARE FORCED TO SEE GOD.
Check out Mathematician of Oxford, John Lennox, he talks about the validity and harmony of God and science.
The Cambridge Doctorate of science and history John Hedley Brooke wrote a fascinating book called "History of science and Religion" very fascinating considering the argument doesn't go back to science and religion but to whole different things that formed into this false idea of God and science being two separate things. .

I love answers in Genesis. These people have helped me so much. Coming back to the Lord after so many years has been a back and forth struggle. Don't get me wrong what a blessing to be called out of darkness by the very cross of Christ. And Answers in Genesis has been a super boost from the Lord in reading and listening to the new intelligent design guys like Demski's book, Behe, Stephen Myer. But these people have brought me back to Genesis. These young earth scientists like Jeanson and his friends have given me back Genesis and so a foundational part of God's word and so the gospel itself. I think I'm a young earther.. I think I have actually learned what that means among old earth creationists and naturalist evolutionist atheists. I actually am beginning to understand the positions and where I feel God insists I must stand as a believer. I am beginning to have defense for what I believe is the gospel. What a gift. Answers in Genisis, in my humble opinion, are equipping the saints of God to have ready defense for The Faith. What else can I say about men and women, even scientists included, such as this? Just God bless you! I pray your work will grow by the grace of God. You people are part of how we know God has not left us defenseless among the athiest and naturalist scientist wolves of our age.

I am a scientist, and all scientist knows God is real.. they just deny it out of pride, and come up with a different explanation, which is according to scripture, scripture says man will deny God because of pride and science falsely so called.. see all scientist knows God exist, they just will not admit it and tell people the truth.. man doesn't like being wrong.. man doesn't like answering to a higher authority.. but I been a graduate since 1998, studying with a masters degree in science for over 20 plus years. And God is real.. now.. our science can not prove God does not exist, and it can not prove God does exist 100 percent.. but it can point towards God being real or point towards God not being real.. now.. it actually points directly towards God being the creator of everything you see.. for sure.. without doubt.. even tho science can't prove either 100 percent if God does or dont.don't.. but it does point directly towards God being the creator of everything you see on such an astronomically greater level than anything ever studied.. on an astonishingly greater level.. see our science is a natural thing.. it's a natural process, a natural study.. and something that is natural can not reveal 100 percent a God that is supernatural or unnatural... because science is a natural thing, it's our God given knowledge.. it's our flesh and mind knowledge.. it's natural.. GOD IS NOT NATURAL.. God is a spirit and our father, who manifest himself through the flesh, Jesus christ. Just to save us from hell.. that's how much our father truly loves us... science definitely points directly towards God being the creator of everything you see included me and you.. and if any man, woman, or eveb another scientist looks at you and says, I studied this and God does not exist, then that scientist has lied Straight to your face... God bless you.. but don't even trust all the scientist even like myself.. believe ok God and trust and have faith in Jesus christ, without science.. or God will seek that you needed science to prove and believe in him.. and therefore be cast into the lake of firemm because we are saved by grace through faith... but repentance is Part of that faith.. because Jesus christ himself said, repent or perish.. Jesus christ said,,, I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance... God bless you, and yes the science is good, I'm a scientist and I love it... but.bit.. let GOD BE TRUE AND EVERY MAN A LIE.. GOD BLESS YOU AND TRUST GOD, AND THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST BEFORE ANYTHING OF MAN... GOD BLESS YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN..

Well said. I've heard for years that our DNA has no traceable path from other primates. There seems to be many more alterations in DNA than could ever be generated randomly. Also, there are innovative and constructive changes that could not have arisen from random changes through out the animal kingdom. So your work is validating that the human DNA changes are only consistent with the young earth history. Each animal should be able to reflect this too, if the studies were done with this much specificity. Keep at it, and nature's written record of the flood is likely to be revealed.

One testable prediction is stated in Genesis 1 regarding the reproduction of both plants and animals "after his kind" (Genesis 1:11-12, 21, 24-25). Darwin's earth-shaking "discovery" was that a finch had evolved into... wait for it... a finch!! IF Darwin's "Common Ancestor" was not a figment of his imagination, and IF Darwin's counterfeit "Tree of Life" had a scintilla of scientific merit to it, kinds (or, species) would be bearing young that would be mutating into alternate kinds, or species. But that is not the case. The Fossil Record undeniably shows that that has NEVER been the case! Kinds reproduction after their kind, and only after their kind, is a testable prediction. I defy you to produce for us all the living or fossilized contradiction of that prediction.

The second thing watching this to think of the people in the Bible that lived for 900+ years.
Can we judge history from looking at data now compared with ancient DNA. I think it would even be worse for their case as well.

Francis Collins is the geneticist who led the human genome project. He's a Christian creationist, not 'young Earth' of course, because all data and evidence from genetics and other related fields demonstrate all life shares a common ancestor. All life is related.
*As someone who's had the privilege of leading the human genome project, I've had the opportunity to study our own DNA instruction book at a level of detail that was never really possible before. It's also now been possible to compare our DNA with that of many other species. The evidence supporting the idea that all living things are descended from a common ancestor is truly overwhelming.

*Evolution, a foundational principle of modern biology, is supported by overwhelming scientific evidence and is accepted by the vast majority of scientists. Because it is fundamental to the understanding of modern biology, the faculty in the Biology Department at Baylor University (Waco, TX) teach evolution throughout the biology curriculum. Like I said before, most Christians have no trouble accepting the facts of biological evolution. It is *demonstrable*, it is a *fact*. That's why we have something called evolutionary theory. Theories in science explain facts. The germ theory of disease, atomic theory, evolutionary theory, etc., they all explain facts.
There's a field of science called *evolutionary medicine* which is based of course on evolution and how it works in nature.

Models are so forgiving. Current "secular" population genetics focussed on the Y-chromosome, suggest a timeline that isn't Biblical, but have us descend from 4 males, roughly 50,000 years ago (with "bottle-neck events both before and after).
So what does it take to change the 50,000 year timeline to one of 4,500 years? Initially you need "only" to tweak the mutation rate in your model.
And as you already can predict what mutation rate you'll need to model a beginning at 4,500 years ago, the hunt is on.
Nathaniel Jeanson finally finds his dataset and there's much rejoice at Answers in Genesis. We have used science to disprove science - "our data are as valid as that of the secular sciences".
And at face value, that is correct if only temporarily: You have two data points - a mutation rate and a beginning date for diversification and yo draw ("model") a line and yipee! It fits.
If only, cause it doesn't end there.
You can (and should!) test your model with additional data, this time from archeological DNA samples, to validate your mutation rates and branching of populations into genetic haplotypes.
    And there, the model fails.
"Something must be wrong with the sequence quality, so I left them out" Nathaniel Jeason explains.
But no, that's the wrong answer: The correct answer is that the archeological data shows your tweaked model is wrong. It has been falsified by the archaeological DNA sequences. The dots that should lie on the interpolated line of the tweaked model, doesn't fit. The model is wrong.
And there's where the science ends for Answers in Genesis:
Because Answers in Genesis only pays lip service to a secular scientific process, when it can be coaxed into agreeing with them.
Answers in Genesis aren't looking for answers to questions.
They already have the answers and those answers must not be questioned!
So whenever scientific data does't support their 4,500 timeline since a Great Flood genetic bottle-neck, both data, science and scientific process is dismissed, wholesale!
The difference between "real" secular science and the pseudoscience that Answers in Genesis here propagate is this:
Science may create models and make predictions, based on data at hand. IF new data to test the model, doesn't fit the model, science learns from that. It is how secular science progresses! Science tries if modifications to the model will accommodate the new data - or whether an entirely new model is needed to explain the expanded dataset.
The approach of Nathaniel Jeanson and Answers in Genesis is that if additional data doesn't fit the desired model (the only one allowed) then the data must be dismissed! But that is "faking it" - the very thing Answers in Genesis and Young Earth Creationists (unjustifiably) accuse the secular sciences of propagating.
They openly admit it. And maybe they should just stop, there.
And it is, of course, just the tip of the ice berg: Y-chromosome is one thing to study. Another is mitochondrial DNA. It is as useful in the studies of ancestry as is the Y-chromosome: the Y-chromosome cannot recombine and is inherited from father to son, altered only by mutations. Mitochondrial DNA is likewise inherited from our mothers, altered only by mutations.
And looking at mitochondrial DNA shows that the genetic "Eve" - the common maternal ancestor - lies >100,000 years back.
Further down the ice berg of problems: The genetic diversity of most mammals is substantially higher than that of humans. And this is of course a problem for Young Earth Creationists, as all living animals must descend from forefathers that all arose from the same genetic bottle-neck that Noah's Ark represents and it must have happened 4,500 years ago.
So "we don't talk about that" at Answers in Genesis and among Young Earth Creationists.
Why? Because, as I stated above - both only pays lip-service to scientific reasoning: They have answers that must not be questioned, rather than questions in search of answers.
And that makes their approach not only non-scientific - it makes their approach anti-scientific! They try to fake an imitated scientific approach to use its resulting pseudo-science as a weapon in their war ON science.

Evolutionists would either have to botch up their own numbers over and over to match their conclusion, completely ruining their ability to explore any new data, or they would have to declare the very concept of DNA studies as a whole to be pseudoscience. Both of those options seem untenable.

    • @feedingravens

Hmmm... as far as I know, when you join Answers in Genesis in ANY position, you have to sign a document where you commit yourself to NEVER say anything that is contradicting the claim that the Bible is LITERALLY true.
After all, AiG makes his money SOLELY with that claim.
It should give you to think that AiG denies the possibility that genetic diversification is possible over long times, but as their Ark story makes it unavoidable that a few thousands of nebulous, undefined "kinds" spread from one single point on earth all over the world, and at the same time diversify into thousands and thousands of species (with insects or worms we are in the millions), not leaving any trace of the path of thousands of miles where they diversified,
So AiG says a super-duper-hyper-ultra-fast evolution it what the science supports.
then there is the necessity (because Ken Ham wanted them on his ark) that you also lose species because there were dozens of dinosaur kinds (some of them fire-breathing like dragons) on the ark to die out a few hundred years later.

Sorry, but normally science works that you observe what is in nature and then try for an explanation that fits best. And when you have a new idea that fits decidedly better to the observations, then this will be taken over after it has proven its value.
For Creationism it is "What we say is true in our 2000 year old book is the ONLY possible explanation, and we will go and search to make up somthing that fits to our preconceived conclusion.".
And it is not so that even though the claim is that the Bible is LITERALLY true throughout. Most flat earthers are religious and base their unmovable conviction on a handful of Bible verses. Christian apologists like Rob Skiba specialized on Flat Earth, and he gave his life for Covid denial due to religious reasons.
Ken Ham says these are all idiots, God created the universe as is, with a heliocentric solar system and a globe.
Spreding such christian messages pays off, the US religious industry makes 150 billions/year - tax-free.

    • @feedingravens
      @feedingravens ปีที่แล้ว

Because all that you list is ONLY part of the Creationist strawman of evolution. Evolution as science has the field of LIVING beings adapting to their environment. NOTHING else.
You list Cosmology, where the Big Bang is a part of. This current hypothesis is based on our known physics being able to work backwards until less than a billionth of a second after the Big Bang. And we constanty learn new details, new effects. And when enough counterarguments are found, and a BETTER explanation is found, than the Big Bang will be replaced. Like a static universe was replaced as space expands.
As said, our universal laws of physics work for the whole 13.7 billion years to arrive at our universe.
What is before this billionth of a second is hard to say, as our known universal physics do not work anymore. Cosmologists try various ideas, but none of them is really persuasive and it is hard to say something before the space and time we know and can handle existed.
When you want to insert God into that billionth of a second, be my guest. But it brings nothing beyond emotional consolation. "Goddidit" explains NOTHING. it is just a placeholder for "I don't know" and as God's ways are inscrutable, it terminates curiosity.
And this prime mover does not help you, because after that he is not required anymore to explain how the universe proceeded.
And especially it does not console the Christians most important longing, that they are SPECIAL. That God has created the whole universe ONLY for them, and now watches us 24/7 and reads our every thought, so obsessed is he by us.
Or are you content with a prime mover that did do nothing after that (ecen though apologists usually concentrate on that, on a nebulous, featureless entity instead of the Strict Father in the Sky that watches us)?
Abiogenesis is also a seperate branch, while evolution is handling mainly genetics, abiogenesis is more physics and chemistry, how anorganic molecules are forming into organic molecules.
Creationism is not going beyond Miller-Urey from the 1950s.
In the meantime we e.g know that on the early earth it is pretty probable that there were water puddles in clay surfaces, and these clay surfaces have a somewhat catalytic effect so that on this surface naturally forming amino acids can form long strands. That is more or less an RNA molecule, and these molecules have the property that they can make copies of themselves. RNA is a predecessor of DNA.
And another effect of these molecules is that they have one side where naturally occuring lipid molecules can attach, protecting the RNA strand against being broken up.
That is a more or less useless molecule, having no real functionality, but the basic structure is the same as that of life.
And an interesting effect is that a lot of rather primitive, old organisms have an enourmous amount of highly repetitive genetic information, as if you have random combinations by the millions until some sections got some (beneficial) functionality. And later the genetic code became more efficient, following th KIS prinsiple (Keep it simple).
That is pure physics and chemistry, all the ingredients are everywhere, even in space.
And pwople constantly learn, find new effects.

I always get super-suspicious when people resort to rhethorical trickery to "prove" their point. Strawmanning is one of them. Then cherrypicking and quotemining, just picking out some half-sentence from something, relying that the fellowship will never check for themselves that the complete context says the opposite. Like Darwin's famous "The eye is to perfect to be formed by chance" that Creationists quote. and would you read on, there is a page-long argumentation that even though it SEEMS that way, the properties and the developmental steps make it unavoidable for almost pastor Darwin that the eye has evolved.
Then you will find the gishgallop, that people throw out dozens of claims in five minutes, each one requiring 5 minutes why this is incorrect, no problem, and when the other did not make it to debunk ALL claims, but does not get to one or two, the Creationist will immediately triumph "See? Evolution has no answer for that! We WON!!!"
Then you will find an enormous amount of deflection, that instead of answering to a concrete issue of THEIR viewpoint, they just ignore it and start returning to poking holes in the other side. And you cannot insist to have your question answered, then they will claim immediately "see, he has no answer to our killer gotchas, therefore he is bickering".
