Army Vet Trucker I’m a recent subscriber and I want to thank you for your service I am an Air Force vet myself. I wanted to be a truck driver myself but instead I pursued aircraft maintenance career and I got my A&P license (airframe, and powerplant). I still kind of wish I would’ve been a truck driver to see the country so in a sense I feel my wishes by watching videos from other truck drivers and I just like to thank all of you for the job you all to best of luck to you from a 63 year old retired fart.
Nice, I bringing travel luggage. It’s big enough to put all my gear and it’s on wheels. I secured mine with a bungee cord to the ground just in case. Abq120
No sir, there is not one in Flagstaff. Phoenix and Tucson have on, the one in Tucson is a small end of line and I have never been to Phoenix, it may be a larger operation with a road board.
What’s the truck situation at abf? What do you haul? Do you switch trucks or are you assigned a specific truck to drive everyday? Is the pay good? Do you get home time, or at least get time to work out to stay in shape? Sorry for the barrage of questions, I’m just wondering about this company
@@thearmyvettrucker5410 what’s your name sir? Thank you I have over 2 years experience no restrictions, about to get all my endorsements. Currently working with Tarrant area food bank
Are you ever in a manual truck? On the application it says no automatic restrictions? I did test on a 10 speed just wondering if y’all are ever in like a 13 or 18 speed
All of our road tractors are all automatics now. There are a few 10 speed city tractors around the system. ABF doesn't want you to have a restriction just in case you ever find yourself in a manual, which is unlikely.
Good headset that was my spare headset I dropped it one too many times but worth the $30
Really enjoyed your video, just subscribed!

Great videos and thanks for your service! 042 carlisle
Been there many times to that TA truck stop in Tallulah. Thought it looked familiar.
You should get a cb always good to have
Enjoying your journey man. Keep up the good work. Do you happen to know offhand if you guys have a terminal in or near Flagstaff, AZ?

Just a idea Trucker path on your phone or tablet works good for me you might try it so you don't have to break down anything more.
I’ve tried Trucker Path but I don’t like the interface enough to pay for it. I’m trying out Hammer right now and it seems pretty good.
Nice video
What is the dimension of your big Milwaukee Box... I'm wondering which one you prefer

If you take a look at my channel, I answer a lot of those questions in detail in some of my other videos.
Drivers would put a tractor in the shop for a "bad radio" just hoping he could upgrade to a nicer tractor. Now we don't have radios, problem solved.
Could I use your name as a reference to apply im Fort Worth?
Absolutely!

How long does it take to get a schedule bid run home daily?
It depends on the terminal. I am out of Dallas and I am still waiting to get one after 2 years. It is looking like it may be a while longer for me.
Why haven’t you got a route yet? Been there over a year now
My terminal has over 120 road drivers and only has 46 bid runs. It just takes a while to have enough seniority to hold a bid.
Do you need to have a hazmat?
Yes, you need your hazmat endorsement to drive for ABF.
