OMG dude.....that thing needed a crime scene clean up crew. You did an awesome job. It amazes me how some dudes live....god bless you, I couldn't have done it : )
I’ve been detailing some of my brother-in-law’s work trucks. They’re just working hard and actually do clean up as they go but it gets pretty dirty. When you’re on the job you don’t really have time to keep it pristine all the time. At least I get a job out of it. 😉 And honestly they’re willing to pay for it - they WANT it clean! But just like a work shop you can’t just be cleaning all the time. ✌🏻
It’s sad because you know that a person that lives like that can’t change so even if you do a good job, soon it will look like it did. Dirty folk stay dirty. And smokes that much? How is he still alive?
It was a pleasure watching this entire video and all the hard and beautiful work you've done. Let me tell you something. This truck looks to me pretty ok comparing to what I've seen a few years ago at a truck stop. I remember I stopped for a rest in Iowa at Iowa-80 TA truck stop. A dude knocked at my door asking me if I can help him figure out why his truck won't start performing the Regen. It was the same Cascadia 2016 model I have. When I stepped in his truck to look at the dashboard, I almost started gagging immediately from the strong smell I felt. The entire floor was covered in watermelon peels and seeds that were rotten already and covered in mold. I'm not joking. Some kind of plastic dirty oily bags on that floor and under pedals, old bottles, sticky jam spots everywhere and god knows what else was there. Also, the entire dashboard and even the windshield was covered in half chewed pumpkin seeds that looked like they were stuck there and rotten for months. Probably while he was driving he was spitting all day his dashboard. I was like, Dude WTF? I didn't even sit in his truck and told him I will help only if he cleans at least his seat that was covered in melted candies. It was really disgusting and couldn't believe my eyes even if I'm a trucker myself. Well, I went and took a shower, had the dinner and when I came back, I see a huge plastic bag full of that trash from his truck lying close to his front tire. He felt so embarrassed that by my return he cleaned everything quickly and even disinfected the buttons with some sort of alcohol. After that we did the Regen and he could finally go sleep in peace. Geez. I remembered that day very well :)
I can’t stop laughing I thought my drivers are the worst drivers, they don’t want to clean there trucks and they are living inside the truck like that, after giving them an approval to wash my trucks twice in a month but won’t still do it, that is why I’m here trying to figure out if I should start cleaning my trucks myself
That's an unbelievable fantastic job you did on that nasty Freightliner Columbia... I had 2 of those trucks years ago and I never let either of them get that bad, but those plastics can sometimes be a challenge to clean...
I'm just starting out detailing and I did a test detail on a truck. It wasn't super dirty but took me 7hrs, and I charged less than I could have charged...I charged CAD$300 - but I think I could probably charge $400+ depending on how dirty it is, and how clean the guy wants it
Wow, I’m trucker myself, I can tell that truck is really nasty, I don’t understand how people can live with that, we spend more time on the truck than at home, incredible...nice job with the detailing.
Just imagine he probably "cleaned" the truck before you arrived. That's a $500 job making you bag everything up and separate it for him like that. You did a great job.
@@bryan__vt3jimmy76 do you have any idea how a business works? Think about how long it took to do the job. The cost of cleaning supplies. The cost of fuel to travel to the job site. The cost of fuel for the generator to run the vacuum cleaner and stuff. Plus his own time. If you value your life and time you will charge accordingly. Plus every time he uses his equipment it's one step closer to being finished and needing new equipment. You need to account for all of that stuff otherwise when it comes time to buy new equipment you'd have no money. The same goes for any business. If you're not charging the right price then you'll be out of business soon. But sure to ahead and get all this equipment yourself and start charging $200 bucks a job or whatever you think it's worth and see how long you stay in business.
Detailing out of sac. Considering the extended cab and the level of thoroughness we bring. That’d be a $700-$800 job. Plan a deluxe hand wash or something small in the morning have the semi as your last job. And you did $900-$1000 for the day. Charge your worth but make sure your skill level/ professionalism match your prices.
I would highly recomend if he want to preserve whats remaining of those plastics, get all the panels wrapped in a protective film or vinyl. Its going to save tons of cash in the long run. Great video!
First time I've watched a big rig detail. Wow there is a lot of extra work just getting in and out of the thing let alone those cabinets and high ceiling. Also props to you for making good use of your hatchback car. I wouldn't have thought that much detailing equipment could fit in a small car but you seemed to have made it work.
That's not only dirt, but nicotine! I'm surprised you didn't wear a mask. Thank goodness for the steam cleaner. You cleaned up-big time on his rig...just look at the driver's door A+++!!! Terrific Job!
Vacation sure did wonder's for you. Can't do miracles on worn out seats. Some old parts just need replacing. Your back & neck sure will thank you if you drive it. I honestly drove a 105 ton rock Tk. on milk crate before. But that back in wild days.
I detail trucks when new drivers are seated for stutsmans and ruan. You see some dirty shit! Concentrated simple green and a hard bristle brush usually takes care of nearly everything. Works great at removing all the nicotine stains.
Looks good. I have spin scrubber and steamer. Try using magic erasers on those tough small spots, gets scuff marks off effortlessly. goof off cleans hardware easily, gets all the grease off. My husband has 2003 KW Sleeper. Almost as bad but nice and clean now.
This disgusting truck makes my Exes house look like a thrown.. Funny part, she was a clean person herself but her house was a mess. Also to why i hate smoking in vehicles. All that nicotine coated material. Make you sick as hell when cleaning.
What I struggle with most as a car valeter myself, is when customers leave rubbish (trash) and belongings laying around before you clean the vehicle, as this should be their responsibility to remove it not yours! Plus it eats up at the time you spend on cleaning the vehicle as well. You did a great job though 👍
I bet that truck smelled like a bed of roses...NOT! I had to swap trucks one time...and the one I picked up...and had to sleep in...looked about that. I cleaned it for 2 hours before I could stop gagging. I was in a bad area...had the AC running and windows half open. The steering wheel was so sticky, it was like a round honey bun. I kept the bag of wipes...and brought them to the boss. I told him that I didn't mind helping, but that I would never do that again. The shop refused to finish cleaning it..cost them $200 to get it done. You did a wonderful job!!
Believe it or not I enjoy cleaning dirty trucks! I guess it’s the feeling of satisfaction after you see a difference! Wish I could find more to do, thank you!
I would have been torn on which tool to use on that slobmobile. - A pressure washer or a flame thrower ...Fantastic job man. Kudos to you. Hope you didn’t catch any disease !
Well the positive side of the deal: it's great some people are that dirty, wake up one day and, get you to clean the truck enabling you to make an extra buck!😉 Where I work, we're out three weeks and home for one. At the end of the tour, somebody else gets the tractor. I've learned that people's perspective on cleaningless is very personal and very different from one driver to the next!!!🤔 Good thing the pay ain't too bad! Needless to say, I've spent many of my reset hours cleaning.🤬 Very incredibly good job! 👍
The buzzing u were hearing after starting the truck was a low air psi warning. To make it go away faster press down the accelerator a little till it stops. Most trucks are anywhere from 55-80 psi till they stop the warning.
First time here, not sure if u knew much about trucks itself? Sorry if u already knew. But if u didnt like I said only need to hit accelerator nothing else like the valves or anything 😂
Man you need to see one of my t800 dump trucks lol my driver has that truck so dirty it’s pathetic, I had a few Guy come to detail they all said no, found one guy now that said yes he is going to shampoo everything floor and all

I couldn't let my truck get that dirty. It drive me crazy to clean it. Have 2016 kenworth but you couldn't tell it from the inside and out it has 500k miles on it.
