My concern is about transferring dirty water back into the clean water section after wringing. Ideally, mopping should involve wetting the mop with clean, soapy water, cleaning the floor, and then wringing the dirty mop into a separate, dirty water section to prevent contamination of the clean water. The process should minimize the mixing of clean and dirty water, maintaining the efficacy of the cleaning solution and reducing the spread of dirt. From what I see here, wringing the dirty, used mop puts about 75% or more of the dirty water back into the clean water section. Is this true?
I actually really like this mop because it keeps the clean and dirty water separate. The 2 compartments do not mix so you wring out your dirty water and then start afresh with the clean soapy side.
I dont know why they didn't invert the direction of the dry side so that the excess water is nowhere near the wash side...
That is a brilliant idea
Yea i bought this and using the dry side to squeeze water out puts dirty water back into the clean/wet side.

It needs another section
@lorideno1281 This O’Cedar mop has different sections for clean and dirty water and is another favorite of mine:
