I am wearing Book Bold today. I love it. I like Expressive too. Yesterday was Paper day and the Bold was stunning on me. I didn’t like the Expressive on me 🎉but Bold I just loved. I love them all though. Not a one I don’t like
All three Milks smell sooo good!! Book- and Gold expressive are my other favorites. Now I gotta figure out which Milk I’m getting with the discount card 🥛🍦🍨
My boyfriend and I got bold Gold to share because we both love the way it smelled on us. He makes it smell more spicy and I make it smell more sweet so it works out for both of us 😆 I also bought personal Milk for myself and I might have to get the bold version when fall rolls around.

I love Paper (personal).. believe it or not, I got a sample in my IPSY bag a few months ago & I've been savoring the sample for as long as possible bc it is so nice! There is this burnt note that's so interesting yet smells so good! Def interested in milk & gold.. actually they all sound good.. you describe things so well u make me want everything!
BERGAMOT !!! I would love to see this in a scent Sunday . By far the best fresh/green unisex scent I’ve ever came across. Basically the only scent that doesn’t cause a headache as well !

Many moons ago a guy wearing too much cologne sat down at my bar and a few seconds later I thought “He smells like Soarin Over California” - which is the ride you referred to. I did eventually ask what he was wearing- it was Polo Black. I bought a dupe and used to spray it on my pillows.
Book is my Favorite. I also like Whiskey and Gin (not sure if Gin is back). Im still trying to figure out the new system of 3 versions of each scent. I LOVE pairing Book with Replicas Whispers in the Library…because Im a total dork AND they really smell Lovely together! OMG!!! Lauren, you are THE BEST at describing scents and also Hilarious…So Fun!!! “Smells a little spitty”, “smells like your uncle in Northern California” Funny on its own AND I live in Northern California so I know Exactly what you mean!!! I got the bold box after you talked about them a while back. I loooove the way they have the “instructions “ and had the paper with each of their names on it to spray. I can’t decide. I know I don’t really like Moss and Gold but otherwise 🤷🏻♀️🤣🤣🤣 I can’t decide!!!!
Wow, I didn't know Commodity is back. I bought 2 sampler packs and a bunch of travel size spray bottles before they went out of business and were on sale at Sephora years ago . Book is my favourite and I also have a Book candle. Bergamot is another fav and what I wore when I was in Italy in 2018 so that one has memories for me. I've been digging Moss lately for spring. I used up my Tea which I liked. I also still have Wood which I like, Wool (don't care for it & is more masculine), Nectar (don't care for it) and Vetiver (don't care for it). I used up my samplers sizes a long time ago and can't remember how I felt about them all. I'm interested to see if they've changed the scent of Book now that they are back because I would definitely be interested in a large bottle.

My top three are #3 Milk, #2 Gold and #1 Velvet. I adore Velvet! I like Milk best for layering with other fragrances to add a bit of creaminess. Except I can’t handle Milk bold. It’s just TOO much for me.
So fun!! Made me pull out my Rain and Velvet. I felt ambivalent about Velvet too. My baby sister smoked Cloves in jr high and I was so horrified that the Clove top note in Velvet makes me think I don’t like it!! Lol. Funny how experiences and memories affect our senses. Now I have to get Paper and Milk! Xox🥰
i love commodity as a house. i have several of these scents in their original offering. Gold is a gem, as well as Moss, i use that often to layer under a green floral. i’m curious to smell what version of the Velvet decant i have! i doubt i’ll buy the sampler, unless they bring back some of the older scents i loved. i think my faves are orris, nectar, and vetiver.
I got bois, velvet, wool and nectar when they were sold at sephora. I have to say velvet is still my favorite, and it lasts SO long on me 🥰 but wool is also really good. Thank you for making this video and getting me to revisit these perfumes. They had gotten lost in the mix!

Idk if they still make Magnolia but that is one of my favorite mostly floral perfume I have tried and have in my collection and truly enjoy wearing in springtime…and I love the magnolia

I bought the Expressive kits first and then got the larger discovery kit and I think that is why I prefer the expressive for most. The bold is too masculine leaning on me while the expressive is more unisex for my taste. Milk is my favorite, and Gold is closely behind. I bought the full size in both of those. I also love Paper personal. Book has such a following but on me it does not work at all. I have a love hate relationship with Velvet. I don’t typically like rose and it has such a strong deep rose scent but I love the woody notes and the combination is lovely but I don’t like rose so that’s where the love hate comes from. I think my next will be Paper. That one is in a similar vibe as Juliette Has A Gone Not a Perfume.
I got Book Expressive in a Sephora sample pack, and I have not stopped wearing it. I cracked open a new book, and everyone compared the scents and said it was very similar to that 'new book' scent. However I also noted the fruitiness, to me I thought it was almost like raspberries? It's such a distinct scent, I very much like it.
I got the scent space edit (6 scents total, 2 in each scent space). Have to agree Velvet bold is church incense. I love it but I don’t necessarily want to smell like it? Milk (expressive) was the only that was a first impression yes! For me. I don’t like Gold expressive at all. Very powdery. I don’t know what I think about the other three. Oc I haven’t tried any of them on the skin yet.

i used to love their perfumes, they were one of the first perfume brands i purchased. i was so upset when they were no longer in sephora, do wish they’d come back and not have so many of their old fragrances only in the ‘archive’ expensive bottles.
Paper- oh. my. gosh! Love from the first sniff, from the opening to the dry down. Like you, I don’t care for Paper. So far my favorite is Paper-, Milk Expressive (all three but bought Milk) and all three Book and I will purchase Book Expressive next. Commodity has a nice sale going on right now.

Bold would be good if I was performing still but is not my jam on the day to day at all. That said it seems like each scent space is related but not like exactly the same…so I’m a little confused about what discovery set to try…I might like expressive for one but personal for another…hmmmm. Anyway…blah. Perfume is my new distraction from how horrific things are in the world. I watch these vids to decompress before going back in and working with a lot of client’s trauma…Feels silly to comment but wanted to say I appreciate your take and to have all the scents talked about in one place🙏
I have a couple highlighters from Jouer. They’re very blingy. If you wear them, you will be seen from the planet Zortron. They’re also very delicate and break easily.

I just got the personal scent space sampler and I’m so in love with Gold Personal, but now I’m questioning everything and I want to try the expressive and bolds and I am feeling a little confused by Milk. I think the cedarwood makes my nose itch but I love the dry down.
Book expressive is great but the top notes disappear within the first few seconds. Dry down is pretty good though. The bold is a lot smokier than the expressive.
So I finally got this sampler as an anniversary gift now that they have an Australian website. And tbh… it’s kind of a let down for me :( not really loving any of them. Some are nice but I really don’t think this is the fragrance house for me. JHAG is by far much more enticing for me, I love their DNA. Sadly I don’t think the commodity DNA is for me
Okay, allready getting a bit frustrated by this brand. I tried your discount code, it didn't work. I signed up for the newsletter in order to get a discount code. Didn't receive it. This is such a bummer. Do you have to spend a certain amount to get your code to work? It doesn't say why I can't use it, it just says: enter a valid code. I don't think I have the patience for this 😤 Edit: did receive the discount code from the newsletter a few hours later
I bought the sample set. Delivery was great and fast, packaging was nice, with the explanation going with it. However, I do feel a little disappointed. I went back to the site, checking if maybe I missed something. Did you mention this was a dupe brand? No, you didn't. The site doesn't either. Then why are the fragrances dupes? There is only one that I can't quite pinpoint, the rest are all spot on dupes. Especially the personal versions. Book: dupe for Le Labo santal 33. Paper: a dupe for Juliette has a gun Not a perfume. I used to own that one, so I don't need a dupe, especially since the original is less expensive. Velvet: spot on dupe for By the fireplace from Margiela. I own that, so that's a bummer. Milk: perfect dupe for Zadig & Voltaire this is her. Used to own that one too. Plus the original is less expensive than this dupe. Moss: this was in my head yesterday, and now I cannot remember for the life of me 😬 so I give this one a pass. I'll probably remember later. Gold is the only one I don't recognize, although it smelled very familiar. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to own this sample set, I will enjoy it. But for a brand that especially calls out it's originality, the scents are not very original. And it ruffles my feathers a bit of you're selling a spot on dupe for a higher price tag than the original. Only Book has a more expensive original.

Bergamot is my favorite too. Most lemony fragrances are usually spring and summer, but I think it's a perfect all year fragrance.

I just got the personal scent space sampler and I’m so in love with Gold Personal, but now I’m questioning everything and I want to try the expressive and bolds and I am feeling a little confused by Milk. I think the cedarwood makes my nose itch but I love the dry down.
Book expressive is great but the top notes disappear within the first few seconds. Dry down is pretty good though. The bold is a lot smokier than the expressive.
I got Wool from Scentbird and I still can't make up my mind about it.
Btw - all but Milk pulls masculine on my skin but I love unisex fragrances anyways.
I'd love to see you review Memo Paris. I recently smelled Lalibela and fell hard for it.

So I finally got this sampler as an anniversary gift now that they have an Australian website. And tbh… it’s kind of a let down for me :( not really loving any of them. Some are nice but I really don’t think this is the fragrance house for me. JHAG is by far much more enticing for me, I love their DNA. Sadly I don’t think the commodity DNA is for me

Okay, allready getting a bit frustrated by this brand. I tried your discount code, it didn't work. I signed up for the newsletter in order to get a discount code. Didn't receive it.
This is such a bummer. Do you have to spend a certain amount to get your code to work? It doesn't say why I can't use it, it just says: enter a valid code.

I bought the sample set. Delivery was great and fast, packaging was nice, with the explanation going with it. However, I do feel a little disappointed. I went back to the site, checking if maybe I missed something. Did you mention this was a dupe brand? No, you didn't. The site doesn't either. Then why are the fragrances dupes? There is only one that I can't quite pinpoint, the rest are all spot on dupes. Especially the personal versions.
Book: dupe for Le Labo santal 33.
Paper: a dupe for Juliette has a gun Not a perfume. I used to own that one, so I don't need a dupe, especially since the original is less expensive.
Velvet: spot on dupe for By the fireplace from Margiela. I own that, so that's a bummer.
Milk: perfect dupe for Zadig & Voltaire this is her. Used to own that one too. Plus the original is less expensive than this dupe.
Moss: this was in my head yesterday, and now I cannot remember for the life of me 😬 so I give this one a pass. I'll probably remember later.
Gold is the only one I don't recognize, although it smelled very familiar.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to own this sample set, I will enjoy it. But for a brand that especially calls out it's originality, the scents are not very original. And it ruffles my feathers a bit of you're selling a spot on dupe for a higher price tag than the original. Only Book has a more expensive original.
