Arriving on a holiday is a pain! France is Closed on Sunday 😂 But I went to Gdansk @ Easter & the local trains were still every 15 minutes on Easter Sunday! It was mad! 😂

@@steves7013 Hopefully we've learnt our lesson from this! I'm going to be a bit more thorough in checking public holiday dates before we book flights ✈️😂. In 2007 we spent 3 months cycling from Marseille to Le Havre, and soon learnt about those French opening hours, with all restaurants closing at 2pm sharp 🤣 I'm not surprised that Poland still runs... that country is amazing 😍
For 2 people 30 euros a room like in Athen is really cheap! Wow!
@@cryptolatino9220 Yes, we were so fortunate to find it, and would definitely go back. I wish I'd videoed inside the nearby supermarket but we were just too tired and hungry! We were lucky it was open, and it's taught us a valuable lesson about checking for public holidays or special events before we go anywhere 🤗😁

🥲 What a pity that it was just a layover video. It would have been nice seeing Greece from the Frugal Travellers point of view.
Cheap accommodation with access to the kitchen. Now Mandy said the price of food was more expensive than in Portugal / Cyprus, but is that so? Corner shops ain't cheap, especially in cities. Was that yogurt? It kinda looks like cottage cheese.
I guess the next country will be Pakistan. We'll wait and see...

Yeh, shame we didn't have longer there. It's such a great city to explore.
We were unfortunate with our timing so couldn't even get a budget shop open. You're right, those corner shops aren't cheap. We screwed up there. 😌
It was greek yoghurt and it was delicious. The highlight of our brief visit. 😂😂
We have a nice little surprise country visit before India and Pakistan! 😉😁
