I've literally just got sf6 today, I'm getting into it more but the drive rush tutorial I must of missed it somewhere along the lines. Thank you, still getting to grips with the game
I actually didn’t think about, during combo strings, holding parry and tapping ff, I’ve been trying to time the perfect drive rush in the combo and it’s been, challenging. Going to try this next time I play. Thanks!
Thanks for the vid. As a new street fighter player I’ve learned the hard way, every single pixel/sec/frame matters don’t beat yourself before the opponent tries to win lmao
Seems fighting games are gonna go forward with a rush in mechanic with both drive rush and heat engage allowing gap closing for both combos and mix ups
but sadly heat system arent as flexible (atm of this writing). it can only be used as an offensive tool and theres absolutely no way to use it as a defensive option, where sf6's drive system and ggst rc system can be used both as offensive and defensively (parry/get off me). i wish heat isnt this simplistic.
@@runemaster- one of kings heat engagers emerald elbow is an armoured grab that absorbs a hit does a grab and gives you options from there, not all characters may have that but some such as kings have defensive/ turn stealing options
should be simplified instead of the new drive rush cancel input no one asked about, on stick you can miss it a lot (no available shortcut button close enough on the stick to put it and doing the direction with joystick takes more time to do it too)
you dont even eneed to press parry mid combo. as long as the button you're throwing out is special cancelable, you can just buffer dash into it and get the rush
I wish fighting games didn't have these stupid buffer inputs to figure out to make combos work. I enjoyed strive up until the servers made it impossible to play but SF6 has made me realize I don't actually like fighting games.
Your tekken 7 videos are among the best educational material anyone has ever produced for any fighting game... so excited for the sf6 era!
Fr it's a crime that this channel only got 100k subs
I thought this is mortal kombat
No there not. They're horrible.

Just a reminder: Forward, parry (hold), then forward also works. Very similar but the result is the same
Thank you so much! Your way worked wAy better for me thanks
your method is better for me
thank you
Love the format of these videos, glad to see you're doing them for sf6 :)
Great explanation
I still wont be able to complete those advanced trials
just try, i also found out you have to be very fast with it

Ok, the saved meter I did not know about, got to do this more often then. Thanks!
Wow! That hold down parry while in attack animations tip saved the day. Thanks hero!❤
Good to know. Thank you. 👍
Thanks for the break down on how to do this much appreciated 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I started watching you due to tekken and now I'm following you through to street fighter, keep it up man.
Thank you! I was going crazy trying to do this without the buffer lol
Oh I cannot wait for some extremly well produced SF6 videos. Do you plan on doing beginner guides or character overviews like for Tekken?
This is going to be my first street fighter game, wish me luck!
I was wondering how people were doing these, thanks for the explanation!
Ty i decided tu play this and your video its simple and perfect
Drive rush is one of the most cool mechanics in fighting game in my opinion
It's a bit op imo but it's cool
@@shadowofthenorthstar989 cant be op since everyone has it, just use it with caution and learn to counter it
It's literally just Roman Canceling from Guilty Gear with extra steps.
@jays.6843 I was about to say something similar. Tho I'd say RC with extra restrictions. Even eats your inputs like RC 😂
@@jays.6843entirely different mechanic
Straight to the point ty.
thank you i'm struggling with drive rush so much >
Thanks for the vid. As a new street fighter player I’ve learned the hard way, every single pixel/sec/frame matters don’t beat yourself before the opponent tries to win lmao
I thought we called this the Max dash? 🤔
I have 175 hours ingame but was confused when people pulled this illegal maneuver, Ty very much 🙏🙏
Very helpful thank you.
I also found that Forward, Drive Parry, Forward gives the same result
Thank so much, I'm still playing the demo version and there's no specification about this mechanic like in this video xd
I've been burning out my meter by doing perry first 😂. Thank you
how exactly do you drive rush during a combo? I dont get the inputs can someone help?
Very good guys. Keep it up. You will get tons of views if you do a sf6 character overview that was similar to your Tekken 7 character overview.
That's the plan!
Been trying that a long time & can't get it most of the time. Thankfully, a comment here mentions: Forward, parry (hold), then forward.
Nice quick video without unnecessary long intro, nice
Thanks I was stuck for an hour trying to figure how to do a combo with this lmao
If you practice, IDR is the best to your arsenal for whoever character you use!
Can we also do instant drive rush with Hard punch and hard kick or just with the medium punch, and kick ?
Intermediate 10 aki THANK YOU I got this game so let for her and had zero understanding of the drive mechanic
Good stuff. Couldnt figure it out
Makoto DLC plz
Nice
thank u!

Yea I play cpu level 8 all they do is spam and use drive rush the whole match can’t even get a hit off. Thanks for teaching this.

Good shit
Can we expect in-depth guides for SF6 in the future?
Yes
you dont even eneed to press parry mid combo. as long as the button you're throwing out is special cancelable, you can just buffer dash into it and get the rush
Those are two different rushes. Just a heads up. Rush starter (parry) is one bar. A rush cancel mid combo (no parry) is three bars.
@@NhemLee so that's why I keep burning out so fast
@@DJ_BoomBear yea I was confused too lol
Unfortunately, I don't think I can can't pull it off on modern controls.
How do i do this with modern controls? :(
(Yes, im a noob)
love you
I’m too old for this shit. Just give me SF2 CE❤
Where the hell did I hear this song before
Heat system in sf6?
They're working together😂
heat dash? 😅
Necro dlc please 🥺
Ppl havent played 4 when we had fadc and it shows
Man, how do you even read our minds and know what we're having problems with?

I hate it though
it's called Max Rush DOOOD
They couldn't just make Drive Rush built into the standard dash, huh? 🤷♂️
This is the part where some kid comes in and calls this Max's tech.
No shade to max
The max rush 😮
Can we call it a max dash instead. Lol thats how I call it since I learnt about it.
Oh right, this game. I would care less about it. Ever since Street Fighter V... Laura voiced by Yoko Hikasa in Japanese. 😒
What a peculiar reason not to like a game.
Uh... what?
What is that even supposed to mean
News flash for you; Yoko Hikasa doesn't know you and she would care less about you either.
