      @@Chris_F i've been trying to find some videos on the nuances of the fireball game, more than just "fireball, then shoryu", more like how to read spacing and how to think about when/how to fireball. i haven't been able to find any--would love to see a video like that if you think it's something you could cover! thanks for your work, and also i love that these videos are scripted!

      I want to do character guides too but all of my gaming time has been spent making these system guides. I just barely had time to get my main to diamond in ranked haha. I’m going to take a little bit of a step back from content creation this weekend and focus on actually playing ranked then hopefully I can begin character guides/matchup guides. Thanks for watching! And I actually plan on putting out some bodybuilding content eventually, probably on a sub channel. Thx for noticing my arms! Still trying to grow

    Excellent guide, very, very helpful. Not sure if you're aware but your voice sounds very bass heavy or 'muddy' which make your words difficult to hear and is very noticable on headphones and bass / sub heavy speaker systems. The way to address this is by using a filter, called a 'High Pass Filter' (HPF) this filter rolls the bass off your voice. Try rolling off or turning the knob or slider up to 150 Hz to 190 Hz (Hz = Hertz) this should make your voice clearer, more professional and make your words easier to understand.

    Thanks for the guide! This is all super helpful. Right now I'm struggling with knowing when to use drive rush cancels in combos/pressure and how to get the most out of them. It feels like most of the time it's not worth it, since it costs half your drive meter and that could be spent on OD moves or raw drive rush which are much cheaper. Plus it seems like drive rush cancelling usually doesn't increase the damage of the combo by that much. Maybe I need to learn more about how different moves will cause the damage to scale. Obviously this is a big question, and it depends on your character, but are there any general tips about how to get the most out of drive rush cancel?

      That’s a *really* hard question to answer in a reply. Your drive gauge use will come down to so many different factors. I’ll try to made a video about this

    Also you don't have to double tap after crouching medium (hard for me on controller)
    Luckily you can just parry after crouching medium, and you will drive rush

    With Ken, would The couching medium kick drive rush crouching light punch be good if the kick hits or is blocked? Because on hit you can combo into Target combo and block and stay safe?

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it’s gapless on block so that’s a safe way. Eventually you’ll want to learn to hitconfirm the cr mk during the screen freeze of drive rush, but for now this is a safe way to do it

    How do you know where the gaps are while looking at the frame meter? When you went to you 2nd example after a minute or so into the video, the frame meter wasn’t on display, so I couldn’t determine the gap on ryu’s dp? I am referring to tip number 1.

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a way to know based on frame data but I can’t remember it right now. You can test easily yourself with any character by setting ryu to do OD shoryuken after blocked attacks. If your attack after drive rush gets blocked, then it’s gapless.

    crouching medium kick and drive rush is annoying to do, but the most annoying drive rushes are anything with crouching and short, you have to be really quick. I can't wait until the next patch comes out and they let you just tap the parry macro after a hit in order to do the drive

    • @anthonydimaggio3913

      It’s a bit tough. You have to start the sequence well before the low kick is done.

      There are usually 2 input errors people have that cause this:
      1) including a diagonal input during forward, forward. Make sure you have a clean input that looks like this: cr mk, return to neutral, forward neutral forward.
      2) inputting forward forward too early or too late. Just to go to training mode and practice it over and over until you get it

    The drive rush after a hit attempt is sorta marginal in this game. Three bars to use it which is a big cost if the player blocks. Better to spend your time developing your drive impact skills and to use the drive rush without a first hit, both of which only cost one bar of meter each.

    • @paulc7400
      @paulc7400 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is good in meter management theory but for example Jamies MK has decent range and is a good poking/whiff punishing button that you can get a full combo off a hitconfirm into it.
      Say you jumped over a DI, you're a bit far for any other cancelable normal to hit but you MK will and you can then execute your combo. Dash takes 19 frames and DR is 9 frame startup (idk how a normal done from here effects startup), jump takes at least 39 frames and DI is 26. Jamie can land the MK in 9 frames.
