If you searching for speed ?
Use a v-twin . I recommend Kohler engine is the best bang for the buck ! Will last longer and more reliable !
Also change your 3 blade prop for a 2 blade ! You reducing rpm with those low rpm engine and it has to work a lot harder to push a 3 blade than a 2 blade prop . You will loose take off power but will gain better speed !
    Hope this help ?

I swam across that with my friends so many times..lol The one time I was swimming across and my friends were already one the other side and I saw a huge branch coming. They were yelling to keep swimming faster. I just made it to the gator trail that they were standing on the they said turn around. I did and buy blood ran cold. It was a huge ball of snakes. Not a branch. Horrible...lol

@@chud327 Got tons of those stories. That same day when we were out hunting for mushrooms I asked why the reeds and grass were all pushed down all the way out into the fields. My friend Lee said watch this and proceeded to reach down and pull up a cows ribcage. It was quite heavy and he dropped it. I said WTF! Lee said that we were standing on the slide way where the gators crawl up into the fields and grab a cow if they. do not come down to the water and drag it back to the river where they eat it. I said we should get outta here. He said that he knew the schedule of the cows and therefore the gators. I said what if one of the gators wanted to come into work early? He had no reply.

What was the HP of the oem powerhead? Your repowered engine sounds like RPM too low. If you didn't remove the water pump impeller, it's probably fried out and could cause friction to engine. I like your talent though! Nice.

I have though about that too, I have several old timing sets laying around and you could double the speed of the prop... I just don't know an easy way to adapt them to the smaller shaft. It is in my head though.. thanks for watching.

Does the engine spin to the right.
Did you have to change propeller.
I am looking to do similar but engine spins right and prop is for left spin.
Difficult but not impossible. Props are expensive. Make a shaft converter for less hopefully.
