The remastered have several new functions aside from enabling subtitles, and doing a somersault while swan diving. In the 3rd version, Lara can pickup while crawling, can do rolls when frog sit, and can also do a flip when facing the edge while in crawl mode
I'll tell you how stupid I am: I'm old enough to have played the original games on the Playstation back when they first came out. I knew you could swan dive, but I had no idea you could do a somersault while she was diving until these remasters came out.
You and me both. But then again. It took me ages to realize the terrains were square textures side by side. And that all jump release movements were determined by the perimeter edge of each square when running. Also-. You never have to tap the jump button when scaling reachable vertical ledges. Just use the climbing action and Lara will jump up automatically if it's to climbing height. Only when making gap leaps would pressing jump be necessary. But you live and learn right.😅
