To get the difficult magnum clips that everyone is talking about, I did a swan dive (pressing walk and jump at the same time.) Not only did it work, but I earned a trophy for it.

For the magnum clips that are hard to get, I jumped backwards. I think I stepped as far back on the ledge as I could, took a step forward and jumped backwards.

This was the first level of the Remastered where I struggled, and I’ve been playing these games since 1997. It’s been two years since I last played this level, so I’d forgotten where the keys were supposed to be . . . and that bloody invisible rusty key made me waste about three hours running around areas where I’d already been. They did a fantastic job on 99% of this game, but the invisible keys need a patch ASAP. All they they need to do is make them a big bigger and brighter.
Yo but for real, just happened to me, the only thing that saved me is that I forgot to save and I accidentally noticed it second time

I almost turned on modern controls. His angle was pretty much how i ended up doing it in the end. After failing at trying to do it on my own(50 times) lol

I had to replay the level because I somehow survived falling onto the spikes when I went to get the gold key…and proceeded to find myself locked in there. They should either make that door open whenever the key is retrieved, or make that section not accessible at all unless water is filled to that level….

Omg so you mean this level can be softlocked if you flood it first, so i gotta do entire level again after wasting 8 hours wondering why im missing a key? 😢😢😢
No you can go back and hit the switch to lower the water level and get the key, no need to start over!
Same thing happened to me. I got all the keys including the gold one and not the second silver one 😂
@@abellabarbie pretty funny the game is remastered and practically forces us to revert to old graphics to see certain keys due to texture lol good times were had by all 😆😆

3:58 - The last Rusty key I needed to progress. I actually found the other two and unlocked the "wrong" doors first and then spent 3 hours trying to flood-unflood rooms and find levers to progress, actually I needed to pickup this fucking invisible key to unlock the next door. I hope this helps someone else in this situation.
This level is an actual joke, im still not finding the key to unlock the gate to swim down and retrieve the gold key wasted 8 hours

To everybody struggling with the Magnum clip jump at 6:14 . I figured out how it works. Walk to the edge, Take one step back and then do a standing jump towards the clips but only hold action just before the ledge to grab! Like i mean last seconds. If you hold it right away Lara just stops trying to grab and falls. Also doing this i have just somehow made the jump without having to grab the ledge.

Easier way to do it.. walk up to the ledge then turn to where your left side is facing the ledge with the magnums/ammo, then side step to the right once then do a left side flip… works everytime!

Thank you so much for these its really helpful bc I haven’t played the og games in a long time so Im a bit rusty lol. Honestly it took a bit to get used to the modern controls but once i figured them out its easy, only the camera is kinda annoying in some places but Im currently at Palace Midas and these remasters are sooo good ❤
For the magnum clips jump sideways, stay about one step from the ledge then jump sideways

Thanks for this video. The jump on 6:18 is fucking insane to pull off.. I've been trying at least 50 - 100 times to get it but still no... I'm using the "modern" controls as I find the tank controls to hard to learn.

Fun fact: if you haven't gotten the magnums yet before this part then you get it here.. I've yet to find the uzi..
All you had to do was turn around and do a backflip, lol. She'll land perfectly on that ledge.
6:14 just jump past this to the hallway on the right, then turn around and jump so that your trajectory is parallel with the ledge where the magnum clips are. Makes it trivial (this is the reverse of the jump you make to get off that ledge).

That key at 16:32 is virtually invisible if you don’t have the notification turned on and did not switch to original view
I got to the cistern within a few hours of the game dropping, and was stuck there for 8 HOURS trying every possible thing I could do. I must have run right over that key 50+ times and never even came close to noticing it there. I was about to start the whole game over, thinking I did something to get soft locked.

So it is possible to grab to make a normal running jump to those magnum clips... But that was days ago as I found my own way.
I play in Tank Controls. What I did was go to the edge of the platform, turn 90 degress. One side step to the right and side flip to the left. I make it without even needing to grab the ledge.
Perty much all I want to know is there a way to soft lock the game if I pick up and use the keys in the wrong order
Those mag clips were infuriating. I kept wanting to say its not worth it and leave them. But it became a challenge

6:11 I found magnums here. Why is everyone's loot different? 😅 and I have 500 magnum ammo. somehow strange.
You can get the Magnums in three levels: Colosseum, Palace Midas or Cistern. Once you got them, the other locations will give you ammo instead. The person who uploaded this video already got the Magnums before the Cistern, that’s why they find ammo here :)
I couldnt see the keys as they are the same color as the floor.
i did so well doing this without a guide but i immediately raised the water levels and thought i soft locked my self from getting the second silver key 😭 i had to come here for help and another commenter mentioned you can just .... simply flip the switch again 😭 oh and i kinda hate the jump scare animals lmao

I've managed to grab it by jumping diagonally. I've also positioned myself by making one step behind (did not jump right from the edge). Got it in a few attempts and tried different spots (had it working from the left side of that "bridge").
So I looked up a text guide and it said to try backflipping onto the edge. I stood about where the vid shows and did a slightly diagonal backflip and landed on the edge. It took a few tries to get it right
Why did I get a Magnum on 06:30 instead of the clips? Is that random? I'm not complaining, as this is better than just the ammunition (and also it took me many tries to get it)? But is this a glitch?
You must have missed picking up the Magnums earlier on. It was the same back in the original tr1 the Magnums would spawn there if you missed them. If you picked up rhe magnums earlier then Magnum ammo.

The silver key which is around about the 11 minute mark on this video. I can’t get to the lever which will let you get this key because the area where you climb up to get to the lever is full of water. So I can’t climb up to the lever.And I’ve no idea how I empty that area of water (or how I filled it with water) Anyone have any help? Thanks very much.
You have to drain the water first.

@@garyhowe7087 I wish I could explain it to you but it's hard in text form. Basically if you're starting the level again once you enter the level it's to the right.
Think of this for a reference two doors on left are the rusty key doors, to the right is where the lever is for water.

I'm sorry but you gotta label these keys properly. There's 2 rusty keys, 2 silvers, and a gold. That was confusing.

This is how tomb raider should be, not this open world bs. I get consoles are more powerful today, so can easily allow for more 'exploring' but og games should stick to the roots. Tomb raider, metal gear solid etc 2 fantastic iconic franchises.....then ps4/ps5 absolutely destroyed them by suddenly changing the recipe of what made them popular in the first place. Tomb raider is about exploring, difficult puzzles/challanges, NOT being able to go absolutely anywhere you want. Would love a new tomb raider game BUT done in this exact format, being semi open (not fully open world)

That is what they’re called in the game. Gold and silver keys. I do not think they have actual names
@@Swizzle250 Rusty key, silver key, gold key? They have specific names which makes locating each key easier if someone was to be missing a certain key for a door.
