This helped me so much repairing a salvage 18 Malibu with front end damage. Finally seeing how all the parts are supposed to look. Thank you.

Great job 👍, Is it doable with only removing the compressor and working from under the car? I mean if only i have an oil leak from the cooler

When working with engine components that require torquing it is particularly helpful to give torque specs when doing the installation

Looks like the owner didn't use the dexcool coolant that designed for these gm cars and used the green coolant. I think that caused the oil cooler to fail.

I have a 2006 Malibu automatic ecotec 2.2, I have the same problem, the oil goes into the antifreeze, but I don't know if this model also has an oil cooler, since the engine was disassembled and we couldn't find it, does anyone know if this specific model has one? oil cooler?

Really enjoy the informative videos. I wanted to ask if you knew or show us how to replace the turbocharger wastegate solenoid? Basically a small solenoid with 3 hoses right next/under the turbo charger in front of the engine radiator and ac line. Im trying to replace this item but can not remove the vacuum line attached to the filter hoses. Can you please show us replace/diagnose and in detail how to repair? We would greatly appreciate your expertise and knowledge. Much appreciated. I have like and subscribed to your channel. Thank you im advance.

I replaced my lower radiator hose but it still got damaged from ac compressor pully there is no space between hose nd pulley. Any idea how to push radiator forward. I’m confused maybe it’s issue with radiator mount bushing. Please help to solve this

Check that your ac compressor clutch is not worn out or loose because some time the clutch go bad and damage the hose

@@DULLAHGOSOHARDdoes this oil cooler replacement also apply to the 2013 2.5 model as well? I just replaced my radiator, water pump, and thermostat just to start the car and see oil start to go into my coolant tank but no coolant in the engine.

Looks like that coolant is green which should NOT have been used In that car. DEX cool is recommended because other coolants can react with the gasket material GM uses, hence possibly leading to this failure. I’m a GM tech and have not had to replace these yet, not a common failure from what i can see. This is a common engine used in the Malibu and equinox.

This is why I stopped buying any gm cars with 4 cylinder engines.
