Only difference is that I was upgrading HU_EntryNav so only needed to code the following… HU_NBT > 3000 HMI > DISPLAY_SIZE_RESOLUTION = 8.8_1280x480 HU_NBT > 3001 EXBOX > DISPLAY_VARIANTE = breites_display Also, the only problem I ran into is that activating FA went on and on. I realised I needed to set memory on the Esys startup to default (mine was set to high) and worked. Full credit and praise to Zee. Thanks man.

Honestly, I wanted the touchscreen version but when I saw how easily the screen attracts fingerprints I decided against it. Also I don’t know why but I feel like using the scroll wheel and buttons is more natural.
@@zeeBMW I see, i have the same doubts about fingerprints and ergonomic placement of the screen for reaching it, however I see some use of it in CarPlay, i.e. address input, quicker scrolling. And it was also just 200EUR more expensive than a non-touch screen version.
@@pauliuskaseta yes true it is undoubtedly better for CarPlay, they haven’t integrated great functionality for that with the scroll wheel, feels like a last minute botch job… I wish they put some kind of oleophobic coating on the screen so it wouldn’t attract fingerprints, but you can’t ask for everything, that would be a BMW extra you’d have to buy 😂

I wonder if you can help, i had just hu-entry no sat nav. Installed hu-entry nav, coded it without emulator, no gps cable in green port. Sat nav option is greyed out but controller doesn’t work , it still shows zbe2 old controller without sat nav button. I have 606 in my fa. But i don’t know what’s the number for zbe2 but it shows in SVT, i was thinking of o remove it and load , will it be code fdl or cose hu entry nav. Also i was thinking about changing vin of donor car in fa and recode entry nav, don’t know of it anyone tried this or not? I wonder what would be the repercussions? Also my car bad dab already i wonder if gos uses the same antenna? Will i have to run cable all the way from roof to head unit. I don’t know if you have carried out such experiment?
As long as it has the same apix connect it should theoretically work, however the f20 is known to have a slightly different screen to the f30 where it doesn’t mount properly due to some fascia differences

Yes you can still use this program mate, however you will probably get the stretched screen issue where the screen will work but just be low res wider, you will need to replace the head unit for a entrynav variant aka NBT Evo…

@@zeeBMWthe part number is 9270383 (65509270383). Im assuming the coding changes slightly as well with the standard entrynav? Ive been looking at some screens with the part number 9292248. Someone on a bimmer forum said this was okay for entrynav.
You need to search your original head unit up on Google and check which apix connector it has, then look at same on the screen you want to buy, if they both match then it will work with coding…

Thanks bro, I would still suggest getting an OEM screen instead of an aftermarket one as your car is not too old. If yours is not touchscreen you can buy the screen using the part number provided and just copy the video. Very beginner friendly and you’ll learn coding…
The screen of my BMW F30 is broken. My vehicle is a 2018 model, but the monitor I bought is a 2014 model. It gives me a no signal warning. Is it incompatible or does it require installation?
@@zeeBMW no mate I was using e-sycs from somewhere else a newer version do FDL dosent work, but got it working after I did ur way ! Do you know if I can download the latest PSdZData to update my I-step for CarPlay full screen ? Rather than the one u said in the comments as that’s not available to download. Also the newer one is only 115gb

wondering if you can assist, So i got apple car play installed to my car using feature launcher and an activation code, the issue is now my car went into BMW and they tried updating something and they said the idrive unit has failed and wont turn on, can this be fixed with coding? or do i need to replace the full headunit? thanks !
No clue about coding it in mate, I’m pretty sure you need to purchase the back trim for the steering, at that point it’s best to buy a paddle shifter steering wheel, they are fairly cheap now as the market is saturated…

Your 320i will be pre lci so you’d need to find a 8’’ screen which has the apix 1 connector on it.

Yeah changed the display, bezel was already cracked so I threw it away…
When I code, I get an option of “edit ncd” rather than fdl, then click on that you get boxes but they don’t have the names of what it is ?
Your psdzdata file maybe causing this issue. Also did you open esys using the launcher? If not edit FDL will be greyed out…

You won’t need to do the coding as the head unit is already programmed to work with the bigger screen…
