Thanks. I had to replace my screen only and I was able to plan and execute with some knowledge of what was under there and how parts should be removed thanks to your video. A little less work than what you did here as i used same cable but this gave me the confidence to try myself and all worked out well.

Man, I️ wish I️ was able to do this with my IS since they introduced a widescreen on the 2017 refresh.
Does entry system's antenna provide GPS signal? Do i need to switch the antenna as well?

If I have the business Navi and change that to the professional navigation with NBT and the touch idrive system .. all system updates which used to work on the old navi/system are not working anymore!
How to get the correct system updates after modifying the navigation and the idrive?

I own F30 (2018), but I did not want to spend EUR 2600 for navigation. Consequently, as I did not buy navigation - I got that small monitor. Seller said - sorry, big monitor comes together with navigation😊
The question - if I buy somewhere big monitor and smart gadget, how can I know that it will fit? Maybe some one can advise on some figures, numbers etc of that big monitor.

Always do a great job. BUT, that screen should’ve came with built in CarPlay and the newer idrive at the minimum.
Thanks Brian for that video. I have watched your videos for all my Bimmertech installs. I just updated my iOS and now I guess I have to update my smart view in order to use it. Is there a way to update it without tearing open the dash again, and if not, can we install a USB extension in order to avoid this in the future?
Hi, yes, you'll have to do the update. If it's easy to get to, you can just plug a USB flash drive into it
my bmw had a drivetrain error something to do with timing chain they are pricey i think im going to buy myself equipment to fix it myself now you should make more on engine dismantling

I have a 2018 x1 in Brazil and here they come with a 6 inch screen instead of the bigger one, it comes with the one just like the one in the video. If I buy the bigger one just like the one on the video can I install? And I was wondering can I install a 10 inch or would it be too big? Thanks
