How to Change a Toyota Camry Headlight (2017-2021)

- Today we change out a headlight assembly on a 2018 Toyota Camry. Unfortunately once the led bulb goes out with the current generation Camry, you have no choice but to replace the entire headlight.
After watching this video I am rethinking buying a 2022.
I bought one and someone hit my left side and the headlight had broke they trying to charge me 1500 to replace my headlamp
I did it by myself after watching this video. Also learn how to install the bumper. Really recommend everyone can do it by yourself. For my 2018 camry it's super easy.Sometimes we're just too scared to start .

I'd say by the year 2025 we will have to pull motor, transmission, and rear-end to change the headlights lol
For the newer ones on those tabs you can push them and it will be easier to take out than prying. I did it on my 23 model and it worked well.

Toyota got greedy for that money if you gotta replace the whole damn headlight just to fix it smh

Thank you for tutorial on this, i must change mine myself after my luck run out. I got my first warning by johnny law for my drivers headlamp outage. Seems easy enough, i will be able to keep my beer money in my pocket now!!
If driver side still dosent work it’s most likely the actual fuse was blown. I got a after market part and thought it was faulty for $150 but it works just as expected once I got fuse replaced at local shop for $20. So instead of paying $1k+ for factory fix I spent less than $300

fuses are labeled on the fuse box usually
for $5 you could buy a full box of fuse.

For the tabs, you push the center piece like a button, and it clicks out. You don't need a tool to pry it out.
I have same issues with Driver side headlight . I replaced it with aftermarket unit and the middle LED light still doesn't come on. Which site did you buy your unit from?.

Saw that it could be a fuse
Had an LED go out? That is crazy. Life on LED's are supposed to last to an equivalent of 14 yrs, running 10 hrs a day for 7 days a week.
If you weren't making a video to explain things, how quick would you say you could do this, start to finish? Looking for a reasonable time frame, not if you are trying to race through it.
I suck at this kind of stuff. I can do it, but lord i hate it. I have to change my wife's headlamp assembly tomorrow morning and I just want to know. And thanks for the video... it will help I'm sure. I'm kind of bummed out I have to take so much off the dang thing.

If you have water in your headlamp take it out of your car and take drain plugs out and let it dry out this will save you money

I have water in mine but cant figure out how to drain it
My bumper is about to crack trying to release it from the clips, what do I do? There’s scratches on the paint right now and pulling it is making it crack

What is the manufacturers name of the headlight assembly you bought? Also, does it look identical as the factory OEM headlight assembly? Lastly, how is it holding up, still lasting with no issues?
This is crazy and instead of replacing your headlight sbulbs you have to replace the whole assembly come on toyota and original headlights replacing is 900 dollars💸
Don’t blame Toyota all manufacturers are doing this and ik it’s expensive to replace the headlight assembly
dont blame toyota? who do you think is to blame for the design of a car made by toyota, if not toyota? other companies doing this trash makes it not toyotas fault? you have some serious problems in your thought process

2017 is from last generation it’s the same as the 2015 and 2016

The lamp / bulb can’t be replaced by itself. The entire headlight needs to be replaced.
