    Awesome !! The first I removed the bumper from my Corolla 2021 it was a headache, because it has a lot of differences not relative to older cars. Finally, I studied the model and could remove it, I hope you keep doing videos. Yhank you again.

    The information about how to remove the sensor, and why, is very important and not performed that way in other bumper videos on YT. They remove the harness and I had no Idea removing it would require it to be recalibrated. Thank You!

    Hey thanks alot 👍🏼
    Your video helped me to replace the front lip bumper trim for which i had to remove the whole front bumper as you did in the video.
    It could have costed me around $200 in labor or even more.
    Thanks.

    It's really nice to know how easy it is to remove the front bumper. I'm thinking of doing a bumper swap on my 2020 Camry LE and replacing it with an SE front bumper. From the information that I've read, the bumpers on the Camry are interchangeable between the SE and the LE.

    Great video I have a question do you know if a 2019 Lexus ES300h would have the same issue with the sensor being unbalanced. I had a body shop fix where someone hit my wife in a parking lot and they took off the bumper and replaced it and now I have a general check engine light

      Fars I know every csr tht I work on at body shop. First unplug the battery, then remove all clips like he did be really carefull with the sensor ,some u just twist left and right and comes off others they just twist off the lock .then when putting new part on put sensor back on. DO NOT UNPLUG the sensor.

      I’ve seen this happen occasionally, and I’m experiencing that with my aftermarket bumper. What I ended up doing was getting is as tight as possible and making a hole with a drill bit through the wheel liner and the clips of the bumper and later placing a small screw on the hole. Not the prettiest but much better then having that part of the bumper loose and flying open in the highway

    Is the emblem replaceable with an aftermarket badge? My bodyshop is telling me I have to purchase an emblem with a screw for the sensor because I just have the $45 emblem. He wants me to pay $300 for the sensor and the emblem together. They were explaining to me the emblem is supposed to have a port to the sensor for a 2018 toyota camry. The emblem I have doesn't have a slot for the sensor aparently.

    • @kingcamry_
      @kingcamry_  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can always buy one used much cheaper on Facebook market place or offer up I’ve seen some go for $50

    • @knightrcer
      @knightrcer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kingcamry_ The way he explained it, some badges have the port and some don't. if you don't have it the part for the screw and there's an actual sensor in the emblem that goes behind the part that plugs into it. The one I bought was very cheap for about $60 i think but i ended up having to pay another 300 to get the 1 with the sensor otherwise it won't connect to the part in the dashboard that reads the sensor. I verified this with the person from eBay I bought the one that was cheap from and he told me that I needed the 1 that was $300. Fortunately he gave me a refund but I still ended up paying another 90 for the grill to get the part myself andolph and then having to pay The mechanic body shop to put it in so the entire thing ended up costing me $750 plus 100 for the grill. Funny thing is he told me it was going to cost 750 before I ended up trying to find all the parts myself which would only have cost me 250 for the labor. He said it shodhave cost more because he had to pay someone to program the sensor once we disconnected it. Like you mentioned in your video. All that for a stupid badge and grill.

      I've noticed a small gap between the bumper and headlight, which I hadn't seen before. I'm concerned it might worsen and damage the clasps or screws holding it together. I'm considering whether to fix it myself or take it to a service center. I could share photos for better advice, but since the issue seems minor, I’m unsure of the best course of action.
      Could you please guide me on whether this is something I should handle myself or if professional assistance is recommended?

    CONSUMER ALERT - DO NOT BUY CARS WITH SENSORS SMACK IN MIDDLE OF FRONT BUMPERS. This is 6th grade Design Engineering. Can you imagine a Design Engineer saying "where can I put sensors to make it expensive and difficult for car buyers?). Well, how about smack in the middle of a Bumper, or sensors on front and back bumpers instead of a hood or roof. Where are Insurance companies. Who wants a $5000 repair instead of a $300 bumper repair. Try to alert car companies - they do not even allow emails. BUMPERS ARE FOR BUMPING - not sensors
