      It’s a southern thing. I lived In Alabama for 10 years and it’s a lot more common down there (I know Saban is from WV). It’s like a sign of respect usually given to older women. Like at the place I worked at- the rare times the owner of the companies wife came everyone but me would call her Ms. Deborah

    • @TDOLLA
      @TDOLLA 2 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      @You Tube I’m not originally from the south and there were just certain things they said that just never stuck with me. Like calling women Mrs. then their first name. or I grew up in the midwest and we say ‘pop’ instead of ‘soda’ or ‘coke’ or we say ‘shopping cart’ but they all say ‘buggy’ or in the south if someone doesn’t hear what you said they will say “Sir???” snd look at you meaning that they didn’t hear what you said but I always just say “what did you say?”
      just little regional differences… I just spent all my formative time in the midwest and there are just certain things we say and do differently

    Alabama has so many NFL ready players because of how well they are coached.

    • @njebei
      @njebei 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@thechado7868 The city of Baltimore was already working on the deal during the 1994 season before Saban left. By June of 1995, the owner of the Browns had signed a deal with Baltimore but it wasn't announced until November 2nd. The Browns started out 3-1 when the rumors started flying. They were 4-5 when Modell announced. They finished 5-11 and Belichick was fired.
      Belichick put together an amazing organization in Cleveland that was just starting to bear fruit. He'd already gotten good at hoarding draft picks which allowed the Ravens to get Jonathon Ogden and Ray Lewis in 1996. It is great how stuff just circles back over and over. Nick Saban is the obvious most dominant head football coach in college football right now. He tells a great story about his first game at Michigan State against the later national champion Nebraska Cornhuskers team. The Huskers won 50-10. It goes down in Husker history as "the Lawrence Phillips game" where he went off against Michigan State and then dragged his girlfriend down the stairs that night because he caught her with some young QB....(Scott Frost). Back to Saban. Saban described that Husker team as the most complete team he ever faced. Some say they were the greatest college team in history. He met legendary coach Tom Osborne at midfield after the game and Osborne famously told him "You're not at bad as you think." Osborne was always the master of the understatement.

    Make no mistake, Bill Belichick is the boss, Nick Saban is the follower. Nick Saban doesn't have to deal with any salary caps or free agency, he gets the best recruits because of the school he coaches for, Bill Belichick turns undrafted outcasts into stars.

      @Gregory Alan Bailey, I'm a relocated Alabamian and before Nick got there, Alabama had become Nebraska. Not very good.
      Players were not going there because it was Alabama. That mystique was gone. He won at Michigan State and won the National Title at LSU. That's why Alabama went after Nick. Go get the best! I don't know where this idea is coming from. Why do people continue to repeat the same dead wrong story. He went out and recruited great players (part of a college coach's job) coached them to play to there potential, and then started winning.
      Now players come there because of what he built at Alabama. With all the players and coaches coming and going he has been the one constant.

    If the Dolphins gave Nick complete control like the pats did with Belichick that would of been a hell of a rivalry but Nick is not gonna stick around while things out of his control hinder his football team. Alabama or any college team will give him full control of every aspect of his team.
