I just started Amazon flex today. I picked a 5 hour shift (I completed it in 2 hours) for $90. Love it!
How many packages they give you? I'm interested but my Honda doesn't have alot of space
@@dertylox45 the most packages I had was 38 and it fit into my Ford Fusion just fine. You can use your backseat and front seat if you want.

STOP TAKING BASE PAY. NOBODY needs To bE Taken fOR A RiDe. Hold out as long as possible and the offer will rise. There is usually two times of day for potential double that offer. And with gas on the wtf meter. I won't take less than $30+/hour with often seeing $35. J"ust a little help for anyone new also.
Do not wait! I’m in SoCal and this method definitely does not work ! If u wait you will not get a block … way too many bots to go up against

Exactly!! At the end of the day, they’re getting paid regardless and that goes along way! Some folks are jobless and careless.. so we’re blessed either way
lol because they're not winning when they take base pay blocks. at the end of your base pay block, its not even base pay at that. then the other flexers dont win either because blocks are being taken for nothing and the markets dont surge for anybody and there could be days where there are no offers at all. the only one winning is amazon.

The pay has dropped dramatically due to drivers taking those very low pay outs. If you wait for the surge they will pay more. How is anyone making a profit off of 72 dollars a block especially with gas prices being so high. I was making 600 in 3 days for the last 3 months. Now the new drivers are coming accepting 5 hour blocks for 90 dollars. When amazon was paying between 180 and 200 for those blocks. Don't be so quick to accept the low paying blocks.

Thank you for this! My brother is doing this now and I’ve always been interested in the in and outs of it. He shows up toward the end of his starting time and 10-20% of the time they over schedule and end up sending him home and he still gets paid.
Flex is great. I've been doing it since it started here years ago. These days I only take $25hr or higher blocks. It's possible that you'll get sent 45 minutes to an hour away depending on how your market is set up. I would try to have a higher minimum than just the base $18hr.

I just did my first flex block last night. It was mental. All back roads in the middle of bloody nowhere and the roads were complete rubbish, snow ice etc.
I’ve done Flex in Delaware before, but not since before C19. It was very rare to be able to get anything before like 1030am because they used all the lanes to fill up Vans for the day and after those headed out the rest of the day was for flex. Most of the time it was 2pms or later and so I would not flex in the winter because it gets dark by 430/5pm and I was uncomfortable driving and delivering in the dark by myself. I really enjoyed the freedom of the job though! It was nice to just hit the road and be busy without supervision :)
I've done three flex routes so far and I can report it's not worth it. Each day it would take between 45 min to 1.5 hrs longer than the block they scheduled me for and they've told me that they will not pay for the extra time it took. The first day I had to drive about 45 min through traffic and rain to the delivery zone, leaving only 2.5 hrs of 3.5 hr block to deliver 34 packages. That is an expected delivery rate of 13 packages an hour on average. With everything slowed down by rain and darkness of the evening, I didn't finish until 1.5 hrs after my block ended. The same thing happened the next night- block of 4 hrs to deliver 46 packages including to a bunch of apartments that slows everything down (that is a rate of almost 12 packages an hour or one every every 5 min.). I ended up going 1.25 hrs over that night. Once they said they don't pay any OT, I've decided to quit. After taking out gas and taxes, the take home rate is less than $13 per hour! You would do better just working in fast food because you won't kill your vehicle with wear and tear.

Haven't started either but I did lose my job in January. Thanks to my savings I've been able to make it till now but I do need to get back on the road to keep making money 💰.

Can you pick your zone? I don't think I live close to a location but would rather deliver in my neck of tbe woods to be closer to home. Do you have to go back to the location upon finishing or do you just get to go home or errands after you finish your block time?

The warehouse "closest" to me is across a river via a toll road covered in traffic. The warehouses that are easy to access and free are a little further away, but definitely better for me.
DOR1 is where they told me to go, but ORF1, ORF2, and ORF3 are where I'd prefer to be going.
Any tips on how I might straighten that out?
You should be able to filter the locations you want to see in your offers, also Try contacting support through the app, maybe they can change your location? Sometimes there might be a wait, either way try it out. Good luck

I am officially on the interest list for Amazon Flex. They are opening a huge Amazon distribution center around the corner from me. I hope they open soon for the holidays. I do Doordash, like it but like the blocks with a solid amount.

Accidental scans happen.
You have to learn how to hold your phone.
You could be grabbing a package you just scanned, so as you are bringing it out of the bin your phone can scan another package because your cell camera is pointed toward the other packages.

Walmart/shopping. yeah you burned gas, wear and tear etc etc etc. Sorry not everyone make alot of money like some of you do... When you got bills to pay... Do what you have to do... I think I’ll try the warehouse ones. I only do fresh and whole foods which are easy and the area I live I get way over the recommended tips amazon says. So maybe this weekend I’ll try the warehouse lol

I live in Chandler now so it takes about 23 minutes with no traffic to VAZ1. I would go to DPX7 less than 10 minutes away but the one time I did, it sent me to Eloy next to Casa Grande. I never had been to Tucson so I just did other app work there afterwards

Took me about 3 months to get flex! Got but unfortunately used hand full of time because all offers are way to far to make any decent $$! Near me I only have 2 hubs 1 has offers once a month & second has offers maybe 2 a week & always while at my full time job!

Dang 44 packages for only 57 bucks sounds like a whole lot of work for not alot of money..all the tike to scan and all the miles u put on..getting in and out of your car all those times easily 120 dollars worth of work
Dawg most Americans makes less then that in a 2 too 3 hour period if you do 12 hours you can make around 250 plus and its not really that hard its a cool job you dont have too deal with coworkers or a boss you are the boss plus if your smart have 2 phones on you open up uber plus another app and do both at the same time 400 a day easy

Exactly it is alot for a low pay. I've been doing it since March and they were paying way more 180 for a 3 hour block. Now the new drivers coming in and taking the low pay and it's making it harder on the rest of us.

Very easy call Customer Service they will fix it and tell you to log out and back in then your route is changed...I know because i did it yesterday..lol
how do you complete training step
You go all through these steps when just sign up the registration. If you do not completesll the steps, they do no let you stsrt deliverying

Same here!!! San Fernando valley (north of L.A) Cali!! I wish that many offers hit. I just started & today was the most offers I’ve seen thus far, 7 offers!
Every state and city is very different, I live in Pewaukee,WI and there’s always 60 to 100 blocks to grab
I went with a friend who was flexing. He had 2 packages that wouldn't scan but his app said scanning completed. He threw those 2 packages in and eventually just kept them ( they shouldn't have been in his basket to begin with).
Beware:
1. Check the 'deliver-by" times in your route list.
Why?
Example:
Your shift is 2pm -6pm. However, you may have some packages that are due to be delivered by an earlier time.
You may have a package due at 3:15pm.
If you don't view the list, it's easy to get a "late delivery". And Amazon will let you know about it.
My solution: I make sure to deliver those asap.

Sort by stop number on your route summary. Takes about 15 minutes for 30 packages. That’s what I do. But everyone has their own method.
How did you know what area to pick to deliver??
It said it on the app after you pick up the shift you want.
How did you get your vest? There's no mention in the video via flex app

Do you always make deliveries in the surprise area? or have you driven to other areas?
I only do Surprise, the other locations are to far away from my house.
but the blocks they give you are to deliver in surprise? because I go to the 7th street station and the blocks are for different areas and I don't want to drive much anymore and I want to start going to the surprise station
@@chapo212121 no you do not only deliver to Surprise when picking up at that delivery station. Each station has a zone, sometime I get sent out really far so I started looking at the address on the package before scanning my route. If it's a city I don't want to go to I cancle my block.

@@KevinG1994 Where i live you need commercial insurance, if something where to happen your insurance company probably wont cover you if they figure out your driving for amazon.
Those pay rates are crap once you factor in self employment taxes, gas, insurance and vehicle wear and tear.

That's goes for the same as if you working for someone and you driving say 15 to 20 miles a day to work. Depending on the play flex pay more and you have more freedom. You can get two flex blocks a day

I got them for Free from Amazon when I used to work at an Amazon Sort Center. They are great, I use them in the yard, camping everything!

If you mean the inside of your car….. who wants their packages coming from a dirty and or nasty car? If you talking about the outside of the car take the hose and do a rinse.

@bmore nation when amazon has unclaimed blocks but know they have a lot of packages needing to deliver, they increase the rates they offer for blocks to incentivized drivers to work. At my warehouse surge pricing happens within 24 hours of the start time of the block

Yes you can choose the area. Email Amazon support and they will change your delivery location
no you can’t not chose, please don’t listen to the other comment you can change your “pick up” location but can’t chose where you deliver they took me 47 minutes away from pick up one day and then 30 minutes to another location and then 30 home 😭

27 stops in 2 hours that's like 4 minutes to get to each location?
The 2 hrs included the time to scan and load my packages plus the drive time from the delivery station to the neighborhood, not just delivering.

You might want to go back and edit out all the names and addresses. They mentioned that in the rules. You're probably a lot cooler than I was on my first day which was about 2 days before you.
I blacked out the addresses, or so I tried to. Maybe I missed a few. The last one was a business address so I didn't cover it.

Uber Eats charges you 25% of every order you do back to them for a platform free which is just a fee to get you to work for 75% of your money
In real life you are making 10 per hour because the $19 you Have pay for you gas so on the end you will make way less. This job sucks to cheap and hard
