    "India is the most fashionable country" when she said that I couldn't help saying "it is!!" Out loud. I see all these East Asian street styles on Pinterest and TH-cam getting all the love and attention for being edgy but I feel like we have so much authentically edgy and trendy looks plus our diversity in clothing just adds to the whole appeal. So why is no one talking about this or swooning over this. I hope indian fashion just escalates from here.

    Several years ago, I saw a movie on chanel and was really inspired. But here's our gutsy desi designer,starting her journey from scratch without any support at 17, unbelievable!! And what's more beautiful is She cares about Indian artisans and gives due respect. I really want her to shine bright in the world of fashion.

    When she said, "I don't want to jump unto the weavers and say I want this fabric and want that, it's a long hard process. " She really understand them and she also loved with the too.

    the moment she said India is the most fashionable country was a slap or being less brutal was a reality wash for those who believe wearing ethnic is religious but she held her culture and made it big that is the true meaning of FASHION. wish i can work with her someday

    • @gollum5732
      @gollum5732 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed i see people here wearing indian ethnic only for functions/puja rituals but when worn casually they label you as BAHEN-JI and are ashamed of wearing. I got to know about how rich our country is in terms of textiles weaves, prints, draping style after my sister choose fashion as her carrier i watch shows with her on internet, netflix, documentry and there are so many that its difficult to choose one best.

    We have such gorgeous textile colours, and we are not afraid of colours. And she is right that India is the most stylish country. The diversity in our traditional clothes, patterns, designs and colours is top notch. The world takes inspiration from India, but we blindly follow the West ( The West has great things too, not saying they don't) and look down upon our own traditional clothes.
