People always complain about how these high fashion clothing are so expensive but fail to realize that they serve a different purpose to the fast fashion clothes that most people wear on a daily basis. These dresses are pieces of artwork assembled by some of the finest artists in the industry.
I agree these clothes are made by hand, and they put every bit of effort in, no matter how long it takes. Which is truly incredible, and they shouldn't be complaining at all.
i somewhat agree a lot of these high fashion clothes are timeless and some just aren’t worth the money. but if it’s made right the clothes can be truly timeless. gossip girl is kind of example of this. even though it was made years ago a lot of the clothes are timeless. they are high fashion clothes. and people still love the clothes. it’s a great example of high fashion done right.
My advice to be sustainable are 2 things. 1= only buy what you really (REALLY) LOVE not because you see it somewhere not cause of a trend etc.. and 2 = think twice before buying. Even if i shop for excample a coat that i need, want, love even if i shop in a vintage shop etc. Those are my personal criteria. Very simple to do. Of course there can be 1 or 2 things i recret after but that doesn't happen the last 2 à 3 years. And what i also do is if i got a little hole somewhere i take a needle and drade and i sow it back. Love conversations back and for
Carmen Grauwels I totally agree! Thank you for sharing. The importance of LOVE is what I’ve tried to share in my Declutter video. It’s so important to understand the value of fashion beyond immediate/current trends

I find it quite interesting that many big fashion house designers always dress fairly simple themselves. All their crazy ideas are only in their heads and their art
As a Fashion Designer myself, this is very true. I feel like when I am constructing a piece with so much energy, I need to remain simple. It's about maintaining an energy-balance. I give everything I can to my garments, but I remain simple and minimalistic to myself.
@@bibikhadijehsamiezade-yazd7430 I do fashion design and I’m self taught but I only practice with fabrics that are cheap yet fairly decent quality and I often do just have a pair of shorts/leggings, a shirt or hoodie and sometimes a blanket if it’s cold.
nah vogue is getting more like every other gossip magazine rn, it’s not that exclusive as it was when anna was still head of us vogue. Addison Rae and way too much hadid and jenner.
I have always found the process of making high end clothes really interesting. The designer has an idea to draw it on paper but these exceptionally skilled workers are able to interpret their sketch and bring it to life and its so amazing to see the craft that goes into it each piece. the detail of it all and the artistry involved.
I used to be a designer and owned a factory for high end couture. I love watching this video, top of the line fashion house. So interesting to watch this wearable art being created.
i love how they make these dresses and treat them as art, as a form of creative expression. it's sad that there r people who think of them as way to flaunt their money
Yes, they are a piece of art. But whether they want to flaunt their money or not, the price is set by the House of Dior (and it reflects the amount of time, artistry, craftsmanship and material involved - i.e., very very expensive) and they have to pay if they want to own/wear it.
Watching this video suddenly occured to me a simple fact that was in my mind unknowingly, and found my purpose of designing, being a different design with revolutionary ideas, thank you! Hope I make my fashion dream come true
@@MTMF.london yeah but she's adding these "meaningful" quotes and passes them off as this sort of profound intellectual form of design when she's just selling crappy t shirts. The thing that infuriates most of us with mgc is that she's a sellout who thinks she's this profound intellect and she imbues mediocre collections with grand social ideas thinking she's making a change in the world when in fact she's making yet another unnecessary trend influenced garment which will eventually end up in the bin where most of her designs belong.
This was fascinating. I saw the show/collection on a different channel, loved the emphasis on nature but didn’t know the background concept and historical lineage. So thoughtful.💙
So lovely to see dear Pascal, he worked with me for some time, I didn't know he had gone to Dior. He is so talented and one of the nicest souls in fashion.
What beautiful clothes! And the skill and labour that goes into making them are amazing! I love that they took the plants in the show and planted them!
I'm going to Dior exhibition the day after tomorrow,so I thought I have to understand Dior more deeply. And,now,I'm looking forward to thinking the day’s fashion and visiting:)
I am so fascinated with this lady, even though I don't really follow the fashion industry. But I can tell that she has passion oh, and only passion can make one reach their dreams
As artistic director of the DIOR House, in my opinion there has been no one like the great Gianfranco FERRÉ. He not only renewed the image and gave it a new air of supreme elegance, respecting like no one else the insignia of the House in each of his creations, but he also resurrected the authentic Christian Dior of his best time while stamping his inimitable stamp.
I so enjoyed your video. I didn't know anything about the history of the house of Dior. I didn't know anything about the true meaning of the designs of your clothes. Thanks so much.
What I love about Dior is their designs and works are wearable, I mean it's something that you can wear for any types of events but still fashionable. not unlike the other brands too fancy and and too much details.

Is there any way we can connect? I'd love to know more!
Hello,sevi
how are you doing today?
Maria talked about Dior’s sister influence, back in 1947 Dior released his first perfume named ‘Miss Dior’, an hommage to that same sister ❤️🦋

Is anyone going to mention that designers style? The slick white hair with the white shirt and dark, heavy eye makeup looks amazing!
I loove her hair and eyeshadow, she looks so cool
Mint Tea ...she looks like a James Bond villain
That's Maria Grazia!!
María Grazia’s accent is so Italian that she says “If you knew very well your pasta” instead of past 😂😂😂
That's actually so cool, using trees as part of the aesthetic on showing off the set and have it planted in different parts of Paris after.
This video made me so emotional. These artists are truly inspirational and are truly the backbone of high fashion. The art they create is unmatched.
I love their dress look like in the book stories
I marvel at the craftsmanship of the talented people who make these dresses.
if only i have the money, i'd be wearing these dresses day and night. Such beautiful craftmanship
The dresses are stunningly beautiful
The stories behind the collections are more interesting than the actual collection. I wonder what the inspo behind the t shirts she makes. #gohome
Well, I think they need to sell those ridiculous expensive t shirt to stupid people, and continue to do things like this.
@Liza Richards they're saying She's a bad designer. Also shading that she makes 800 dollar white t-shirts
