Obv real racers have to deal with the issues with racing in the rain and visibility, but I guess they thought the rain should only offer a stability challenge and keep it mostly visible. It would just make the interior view completely useless and leave them at a disadvantage if cockpit and chase cam wouldn’t have a rain effect to give the driver a disadvantage in visibility. I’m sure they could have made it look nicer, but I think it was for the sake of gameplay if anything.
asseto corsa looks more realistic, I mean that's pretty much what it looks like when it rains in real life. GT7 looks like they really wanted to keep visibility and have next to no reflections on the road that could even obscure the lines and other things on the track like it does in real life.
You can't even see the rain from the outside, it just looks wet, and in cockpit view, it looks weird on GT7. I personally think ACC rain looks way more realistic
The most annoying thing to me about Gran Turismo's graphics has always been how dark the interior lighting is. The rest of the game always looks phenomenal, but they can't seem to get that right. In their own showcases, it looks great. I think I'll try out Assetto Corsa to give me more racing games to play while waiting for GT7 to get more content.
I have never been able to get my interiors in Gran Turismo games to be very visible. Multiple displays. Multiple games. I’ve played Gran Turismo 5 through Gran Turismo 7 and dark interiors has always been an issue for me. HDR off or on. All I can do is turn up the exposure, but then the rest of the game is washed out. I’ve spent a fair amount of time calibrating my displays even to try and get them to look better. But at least you were able to get them to look correct!
Yeah, first time I have ever been disappointed in a GT car list, I hope they can add a ton back into the game.... I don't even count prologues or sport as a GT game, didn't play them.
Judging by the HUD elements' size, this looks more FHD then 4K. ACC's driving experience and steering wheel animation looks terrible when playing with a keyboard or controller, you really need a steering wheel for this game. Without that, there is no point in comparing the simulation. Also, you can turn on the car damage on ACC. Although I haven't played GT7, both racing games looks well.
Assetto Corsa Competizione, Grid Legends and also Gran Turismo 7 are 3 high quality racing games coming this year, and they are all really great games and also very fun to play 😎👌
@@kolysion164 I own Grid Autosport for my switch and Grid 2019 for my series x and I love both of them. I just now tried out the free demo for Grid legends on my series x because of your comment. The game is a lot of fun with its fast paced races and stunning visuals, my only gripe with the game is a few frame drops here and there (although the worst on stormy weather) and ultimately feeling easier than the other two I own. Physics wise it feels quite easy compared to the slidey nature of Grid 2019, even in stormy weather where the ground in Legends literally looks like it wants you to hydroplane. I don’t think that makes it a bad game though. It is a very fun simcade (leaning towards arcade) title that I think deserves more recognition other than just being ignored for games like Forza horizon 5 and GT7.
Ive got over 1600 hours in assetto corsa, but 2 days ago finally ive played gran turismo 7 for the first time, ive bought a ps4 and bought the game. And it feels really great, with my t300 and also with the gamepad, love the game!!

For noob racing gamer out there the reason the gtr sound like it's stuttering is because of TC. Traction control which let the CPU control your car from losing traction hence making stuff a lot easier. You can turn it off if you want. But GT is more fun to play because better online multilayer stuff?

That's because the game is made to be played with a 900 degree wheel, and it shows the actual input you're doing. So if you play on a wheel, the steering looks perfectly natural. OP is playing on keyboard and doing digital inputs, so it looks like that

GT still has better gameplay on controller. Its a sim that doesn't neglect the controller market...which is precisely 100% of the console market...surprising enough

Why does grand turismo do that stupid thing where the wheel doesn't align after you've turned and are going straight. Really annoys me. Plus no proper outside camera movement, it's stiff af! Another thing is there's no cockpit camera Infront of the wheel where the speedometer is for a racing SIM wheel. Forza does this but who wants to play a racing SIM setup on FORZA HORIZON LOL😂 stuck on PlayStation with these vanilla games. Should've bought an Xbox fml
The stiff camera movement is actually preferable. AC and ACC looks like you're steering an RC boat from chase cam, and it totally ruins your line and sense of perspective. At least fixes exist for the PC versions.

Hey guys, so I got GT7 but I am a bit disappointed. I just want to make some races with my wife in splitscreen and not having to play the story mode to first get cars and unlock the splitscreen. Is there no way to just do races with any cars?

@JoaK I played acc on PC. Felt nothing special or or much different than the other sims, like GT. You guys are all just fanboys of one "sim" over another.

Im not a fan of the rain visuals in gt7 and think acc looks much better. Gt 7s rain is very Forza like and im not personally a fan of it

Its more realistic to have dark interior lighting because very little light "bounces" in most of these cars.
GT 7 is a lost cause. Even at 20 dollars, the game is not worth purchasing. I'm done with polyPHONEY for life

Never though Gt has better "crashes" than Assetto in 5:35, but that sand looks really good.
A.C. never had good crash physics to begin with. GT had always kept some realistic features, when crashing.

That ACC footage is not native 4K. Go to 0:35 and watch the over head banner as he approaches it. You should redo this....

I am going to take the liberty of telling you that your comment is very ignorant, it shows that you have never played acc, that game is enjoyed with a steering wheel, which in that aspect is better than GT7 because the driving physics are more realistic than those of gt7 and with that I do not detract from GT7, because if you played the previous version you will realize that the physics of gt7 are much better than gts, but even so it does not reach ACC, because the latter is a game dedicated to the gt3 racing simulation of the european touring car championship, in gt7 with a steering wheel you don't feel the same as you feel when you are for example in bathurst on the long straight after you go down the mountain which are the potholes, you don't feel that in gt7 , I repeat I do not detract from gt7 because they have done a great job compared to the previous version, but in the ACC simulation section it wins.
Bro i dont think ACC is that trash, it was an diferent game than Gt7
"Physics trash". Either you cannot or have not played ACC, which has received physics input and approval from professional GT3 drivers.
@JoaK I played acc on PC. Felt nothing special or or much different than the other sims, like GT. You guys are all just fanboys of one "sim" over another.
