Wonderful cantata. I am learning it to sing for a concert. It sounds so much better with full orchestra than the rehearsal piano. Lovely performance
Reger used a part of the Aria "Sein Allmacht zu ergründen" in his Bach Variations Op.81

The painting's by Hans Suess von Kuhlmbach, who apprenticed with Albrecht Dürer and took over his commissions when Dürer died. His assumption of Christ, 1513, is heavily indebted to Dürer in its style and imagery, and it's one of his most attractive works.
