    *UPDATE*
    Vader Solutions has acknowledged the need for a gasket for the PCV fix. The kits will now ship with a gasket included in the kit to be placed on the valve cover where the cap goes!

      Your catch can is taking the oil from the new PCV breather and dumping to where? Also would you still need a catch can for the crankcase ventilation? And what exactly are the PCV/CV issues the gen1 B58 is having exactly? Thanks.

      @@daddad4589 Catch Cans retain the oil they trap and condense. You have to manually drain them at intervals before they fill up.

      @@StevenKenniffALW Yes but this engine seems to have long drain intervals. I am more worried about crankcase over-pressure than oil in the blow-by.

    BMS OIL CATCH CAN FOR B58 you have one in a previous video since the 2 can be installed together and you have to cancel the oil catch

    Hey, did you have any oil on your spark plug tips when your stock pcv malfunctioned? I'm wondering if that would be a symptom of the issue you had after oil dumped in the cylnders? Any oil leaking from other areas like charge pipe? or turbo from the extra crankcase pressure? Glad it worked out for you with no damage btw.

    Great video. Have you ever noticed oil blowby venting from your oil cap leaving a little oil around cap? I've seen this on my car. Could be a faulty cap or excess pressure. So, I may get a pcv kit. No smoke though or oil level going down. Im pushing about 600whp.

    Hey lj can you tell me what the difference between this and the Vargas turbo oil cap crankcase breather would be? There solution seems a lot more simple and is less expensive, let me know bro

      The Vargas oil cap only lets gasses escape into the atmosphere. Will smoke out of the top a lot. With what LJ did was essentially re-route the gasses into the catch can instead it going straight into the turbo, which is the main cause of blow by, causing the car to burn oil in the cylinders.

    Ayy, so real question: What Do You Do About The Oil On Top Of The Pistons? Was it Just Seepage, or was it crud?

      There were a few other factors but a PCV failure can definitely cause these kinds of issues

    Mind me asking how much oil you were losing if that’s the issue? I’m running into issue of losing 1 to 1.5 quarts every 1000-1500 miles which never happened before with upgraded turbo. Going to get my pcv/valve cover tested next week.

      I was losing a lot more than that but that sounds like your PCV could be at fault

    Could you please give a sense of just how much power the car needs to be pushing for this to be an important upgrade? Currently running Stage 2+ E30, making high 400s hp and high 500s torque, is the upgrade needed? Thanks!

      In my experience with both B58 cars I’ve owned the PCV issues started arising past 600whp. That is about 25 psi on a full frame turbo. Once the motor was rebuilt after my failures the PCV didn’t need to be addressed until 800whp.

    If there’s that amount of oil in your PCV system...don’t you have bigger problems? I know no engine is perfect and some oil will always be in the blow by but if there’s enough that you notice it when it recirculates it sounds excessive

      At that point we had the spark plug in already so no worries there if anything fell we have magnets and tools for that. I’m pretty careful so wasn’t really worried lol
