I want to date someone with the same asset and income level as mine (or better). I hate that dating sites don't verify applicant's assets and income (you know, like banks when you apply for a loan). So, I prefer to stay alone. That's fine. I am glad you made it work for yourselves, but any early retired person should be very weary to "down date". I don't want a dependant. Sorry. So, I made peace with the fact I'll likely be alone for the rest of my life. It's nice you're talking about it, though.
That's my belief. It's just easier and you're more likely to avoid problems this way, long term. Nothing wrong with any type of arrangement, of course, it's just how I personally feel about it.@@elizabethochieng3235
Second time I’ve watched this video. My husband of 45 years passed away early last year and yes I’d love to meet someone special. It just sounds very hard.
I’m sorry for your loss. Yes meeting someone new can be hard. I can’t imagine how hard it can be. We hope this video gave you some insight and inspiration to move forward with this process. Go slow, make it fun, and enjoy the new people you meet.
Thanks for your content and early Happy New Year! I just turned 60, lost my wife nearly 3 years ago and still have a 17 year old at home and a 19 year old on some weekends from college. Having begun dating recently, i've been told it's a red flag that I won't invite the date to my house. Apparently this means I'm actually still married 😳 This is a behavioral deal breaker for me. I agree with you two. I would not introduce my daughters to anyone for a very long time without careful consideration. And, if a potential date is so untrusting as to think someone would lie about being widowed, well then......check please!
Unfortunately, there are many scammers out there who do not bring dates to their homes because they are married or in a relationship. And many men claim to be widowers online to gain sympathy from potential dates. Unfortunately, this is not uncommon - at all. I have run into this. On the other hand, I would not expect to go to a date's home until after 4 or 5 dates for safety reasons. I have found it suspicious when a man has invited me to his home right away and see that as a red flag and it's unsafe when you do not know someone.
Guys! I just listened to your video about this difficilt topic and I cannot tell you how much I enyojed it!! Not only was it very informative and interesting but also open about your own partnership together. I really loved that. And it is so easy and fun to listen to you, I could listen to you guys all day!👍 So thank you very much from good old Germany 😊
it’s very hard to meet people I’m 58 been single over 20 years. It’s so hard to meet somebody normal that’s looking for the same thing companionship to go places with somebody that’s not a pig I wish I can meet somebody warmer every day I wake up I say the same thing I wish I could meet somebody normal instead of going through all this alone
I’m days from turning 64. I ride a motorcycle, I mountain hike, backpack camp, and lift weights in my home gym, and I went back to school to learn about nutrition so I can take the best care of myself. I volunteer, too, and I’ll retire in 2.5 months. Fortunately, I kept my mind open and found a great 68 year old man who is also fit, active, and healthy. We’ve been dating for 8 months.
I do keep an eye on them. Definitely damage from growing up and sitting in the sun. I now am so careful with the sun and appreciate you mentioning this.
It's important to protect the life you've built and ensure that your retirement is for enjoying your own hard work. Setting boundaries and staying mindful of where we invest our time and resources is key.

It sounds like you have a clear idea of what you want and that’s important. Make sure that you get out and socialize as much as you can.
Thanks! Happy Holiday Week! 🎄🥂@@RetirementTransformed
Hey architect
I hear you. It is sensible to have compatisble financial compatibility. Liz.

You definitely want to be cautious and go slow. If you both find some commonality and friendship, it can grow from there.
Thanks for sharing your story as always Jody & Markham! :) #Believe
Our pleasure. Thanks for being here!
You two have such a fun dynamic! I really enjoyed this video. I hope one day I can find a man who looks at me the way Mark looks at you.
That is so sweet to say. We do love each other and enjoy our company and enjoy this new retirement lifestyle we have created for ourselves.

Yes it can be difficult. We hear this from other single people. But keep trying if you can.
It’s interesting I’m not alone in this forever
I am 61 and retired. It's very difficult to find a single woman that is physically fit and financially stable.
Be careful please
I imagine it can be that way. Be patient. We are obviously not out dating, but have heard so many success stories.

Thank you @@GwenMotoGirl for sharing this. We love hearing about people such as yourself thriving in this phase of life. Good for you!!!
@@RetirementTransformed thank you!
Mark: FYI, watch your skin spots. Too much sun will turn them darker/possible skin cancer.
I do keep an eye on them. Definitely damage from growing up and sitting in the sun. I now am so careful with the sun and appreciate you mentioning this.
Don't be a retirement plan for someone who made nothing but bad decisions
