I watched the livestream yesterday, and I will be buying this bike asap! I am getting ready to spend 3 or 4 months riding a unicycle from Las Vegas to Key West for Disabled American Veterans, the Firefighter Burn Fund, and C.O.P.S.(Concerns of Police Survivors). We have a little 23-foot old 2000 Georgie Boy Maverick for the trip, and the Lectric One will be on my motorcycle rack for when we're parked in camp. Can't wait! I did Seattle to San Francisco, 1,000 miles, unsupported right before Covid. This 3,000 miles will finish my mission of bringing awareness to these three amazing charities! @RhinoVentures One God, One Wheel, One Country, and Lectric One! 🤠😎🦏🪖🚒🚔
Nice review thanks. Only issue I have with it is the small battery, if they really want to replace cars they should’ve put a much bigger battery in it, it’s basically good enough for a short trip to the grocery store, and well maybe that’s good enough for a lot people. Still wonder why they went with such a small battery?
Because the two things that cost the most are the battery and motor and they seem content upgrading things that nobody cares about in order to just make money. Plus, if they do a new battery, that means more money for a UL certification. This bike will be forgotten about in 6 months,
How does it pedal with the power off? I changed the gearing on my Lite and only really use power going up hills, so I have really long range when just tooling around.
They have the self driving cars o in L.A. also. Can't afford that little jewel. I'm trying to save enough for the Trike. My XP 2 is still my Princess. 2 Thousand miles so far. I talk to 2-3 people a week about my bike. I know they buy them. I show folks how to get to the Lectric website on their phones. Brings me great joy.
Ok... Let's get this straightened out. This has the C1.6i as it's Gearbox. This is Pinion's lowest gear range offering. It's missing the lowest 4-6 gears, and the accompanying geat range, of it's bigger siblings. I would have zero complaints if it had the C1.9i, as it's gear range is in line with is bigger siblings. For what it's worth, I have bikes with the C1.12 and the P1.18. (note the lack of the "i". Mine sadly use the twist shift.) TL;DR: It's gear range is on the small side for stepper inclines.
To be clear, my problem isn't so much in Lectric choosing the C1.6i, but with Pinion. It's nearest sibling, the C1.9, has a more neutral (or centered) gear range. Actually, that is good example, the C1.6 is screwed towards the high end in comparison to the rest of the Pinion Gearboxs. It explains alot of the choices Lectric made in the bike.
Hey Chris! DOES IT ALLOW FOR REVERSE STEERING STEM FOR SHORT ARMED WIFE? The only thing stopping us from buying 2 is that i need to reverse the steering stem for my 5' 3" wife with short reach. She tried the 3.0 with the stem reversed and picked up 5 inches but I don't know if the ONE also does that.
I really hope they sell an individual front suspension fork add-on for this bike when it comes out. Once they do that i am legit sold. For some reason I only saw the 10 and 14 AH batteries on their website for pre-orders. I didn’t see anything about the 20AH battery that I heard from other TH-cam videos that was supposed to come out with this.
They say its easily swappable with your own suspension fork. I'd expect another battery size at some point but I plan on bringing along an extra battery taken off my Xpedition which is compatible.
This should have been 14ah for $2000 and 20ah for $2200 . It’s unheard of for $2000 to have such a tiny battery pack . Tech is pointless if you have no range . A few others have mentioned the same thing and guess what . The listing does not show the rated range any more for the different pas levels . Was taken down . No shocks , not even a suspension seat post unless you pay even more . Basically you have a really nice shifter but everything else is sub par . Now i do own there lectric 3.0 and yes it does use low end parts but at $1200 for a fun to ride e-bike and great customer service it works well . Just a major miss for me on the lectric one . I go on group rides of at times 10 miles one way . I would not even come close to completing the ride as i need pas 4-5 .
For a paved road on an upright frame, I honestly wouldnt waste any money on a front fork suspension. Get a suspension seat post is really the only thing youd notice.
@@srobeck77 You must not live in New York lol! Paved shmaved!! NY has some insanely bad "paved roads" and the more suspension you can have for your bike, the better trust me!!!
Gross aint nobody want a chain plus a derailleur to wear out and have to clean out every ride. I dont even know why they sell that outdated tech anymore.
Great job...technology is incredible...display looks great
Thanks, it’s a fantastic ebike
Can’t help but feel lucky riding my Lectric One in the Green Mountains of Vermont. The aircraft noise alone would drive me nuts.

Just a quick footnote, I wouldn’t be driving that fast behind Park cars in case somebody wanted to pull out in front of you. Ouch!
My DREAM ebike!!
Glad you're having so much fun! I'm cringing when you fly by parked cars. At least you can hear motorcycles coming.
Its all good!
Wow some guys have all the luck. A brand new bike to try every week. Must be nice.
You really think it's luck? Or hard work? I think you can figure it out...
It’s my job, no apologies.
There are so many youtube personalities. It's like a Marvel movie.

Price but rumors about a third bigger option may be available at some point we’ll see
@@ChrisCrossed If they figured out like above a 20ah battery on this thing I would buy it
@@justinwhite2951 I’m gonna use my Xpedition battery and carry a second one with me to extend range
@@ChrisCrossed I'll watch..,.I'd be interested in how it works, weight, handling, etc. Thanks.

Didnt try that actually, once i get one i will do a deeper dive.
Takes more effort than my CF road bike, obviously, but not noticeably more than my 40-pound commuter. Also, pinion gearbox has a pretty low low gear.
But it is definitely pedal-able w/o assist.
They have the self driving cars o

Can you pedal it without installing the battery as normal bike

For $2k you cant get another bike with a Pinion, they may have a better version but that would come at a higher price point.

Understood, thanks for watching
Good fun man! Like that you were in there as an influencer 😂.. Did all the bikes seem to have squeaking brakes?
Yeah keeping mind it is dusty in PHX and these are pre production versions
@@ChrisCrossed ok . Maybe fine tuning.. but what interesting bikes.. very cool
Was the lack of a suspension bothersome?
Not really since Tempe has smooth streets
Not anything youd ever notice on a paved road. Just get a suspension seat post and gtg

The stem will be adjustable so she can bring it closer to her, should have no trouble riding the One
Was there any word from Lectric on why they discontinued the XPremium?
I dont think it was selling that well. I'd love to see another true fat tire from them at some point.

Imagine automatic gears with mid drive
Just a bike that has a high end derailleur and a 20 ah battery.. 35 mph throttle or PAS. Sell it for same price. I would like that
40ah

Nice, but price is high. I would buy at 1599.00
Definitely a premium price but some peeps will gladly pay that for what it offers.
No chance. Not with the components they are using and the belt drive. Your going to have to look thru some cheaper chain driven bikes for that price.

Does he have a Lectric One? How does Jesus like it?
Oops. Maybe tomorrow.
Over priced
How lol? The batteries. Yeah. Only ebike on the market that has a pinion for under like 3.5k
