    Another, of many excellent reviews. I'm jealous. I'd love riding some of those trails. Thanks again. 🏆

      Thank you so much! The trails are awesome, but only in the mornings during the summer haha. Otherwise it feels like an air fryer 🤣

    Hello Tom.. enjoyed your video. I just purchased the Lectric ONE and I will be testing Pedal Assist 2 and 3 on the Tucson Loop this Thanksgiving.

      That’s awesome! I heard amazing things about the Tuscon loop. I have to try that out one day. You’ll have the perfect bike for it 😎. I’m looking for other places to range test bikes because my normal route is starting to get boring haha.

    Great bike for the money but I’m turned off by the motor noise (Stromer has much quieter rear hub motor possible) and the misleading claim on the website “400% quieter motor” (100% is the max that number can be)

    • @tomsgadgetgarage

      Yah it’s definitely way quieter than bikes like the Lectric XP 3.0. Some of my smaller motor bikes like the Tenways CGO600 Pro and Velotric T1ST have whisper quiet motors, so I can definitely see the appeal of a quieter motor like the Stromers have.

  • @Cardus501

    We love our XP's but Lectric has stopped shipping internationally. We can no longer get parts or batteries from them so we are forced to go aftermarket. We now question their customer support for existing bikes.

    Bought this for commute to work. 28 miles round trip. I used PAS 5 (at 28) for about a quarter of it and got home just before it died. Only done it once, so more rides to come.
    That said, I bought a bell that you air tag. Also cloud 9 seat. Inmounted the ABUS Granit x plus underneath by drilling 1/2” hole in its holder and using washers with longer bolts. Very happy with that setup. However, I’m not happy with the bag system yet. As you said the bag I got is loose on the back.
    Nice review.

    • @tomsgadgetgarage

      Yah I wish the rack was the same 7”+ width as the XP 3.0 and some other bikes. The One has a 5.25” width. Good to know about the lock setup you have. I may look into that as well.
      Getting 28 miles with a quarter of the time in PAS 5 is solid.

    What Ulock do you suggest for the Lectric one? I'm looking at two, the Abus, Granit XPlus 540, U-Lock or the litelok x3.

    • @tomsgadgetgarage

      I bought the Litelok X1, but the X3 will buy you more time in the event someone decides to start playing with power tools. Both are very highly rated.

    What's the cut off voltage when the battery is completely depleted?

    • @tomsgadgetgarage

      I took it down to 42 volts, which is basically depleted. At that point there is little in the way of power. I don’t recommend regularly draining the battery that far as it could impact long term battery life.

    What did you do to reduce the brake noise on the 3.0?

    • @tomsgadgetgarage

      It was noisy early on but it did quiet down a bit after 150-200 miles. I also wiped down the discs with rubbing alcohol. Some folks have replaced the brake pads to higher quality pads and have had very good results in reducing noise.

    How do you think the automatic transmission + cadence motor would compare to a torque motor in terms of a ‘natural’ ride feel? I really hate ghost pedaling - - makes it feel like a minibike instead of a bionic bicycle.

    • @tomsgadgetgarage

      So the PWR system Lectric has on this bike is really good. The transitions between PAS modes are very smooth. In PAS 2 the ride feels natural. PAS 3 also feels great in the right gear. Compared to your typical cadence sensor bike, this is as close to the torque sensor feel I’ve seen. With Class 3 unlocked you’re going to get some ghost pedaling beyond 20mph. I personally prefer Class 2.

  • @gkmackey

    Dumb question. When you installed your mirror did the handle plug come out with a screwdriver like the other lectric models do?
    I don’t want to mess my One up doing it wrong.

    • @tomsgadgetgarage

      Great question. On my Lectric XP 3.0 I gently pried it out. I did the same with the ONE, but the fit was tighter and I ended up shearing the end cap off, leaving the rest in the handlebar tube. I tried pulling the rest out but need a metal rod with a hook on the end to pull the rest out.
      In the meantime, I just pushed the remaining bit into the tube enough so I could get the mirror in. Will pull the rest out later.
      Just be sure to gently pry it out and it should pop out. I wasn’t a patient as it was 1am and my garage was uncomfortably hot haha.

    • @tomsgadgetgarage

      You can also use a flat head screwdriver, wedge it in there and gently tap it with a hammer. That’s what I should have done.

    • @gkmackey

      Be careful, easy to steal from the front of the bus. At least in Denver

    • @tomsgadgetgarage

      Hey! It’s a bit smaller than a traditional bike so I don’t think it’ll have an issue fitting. I saw a bus in another city the other day with a Mokwheel bike on the front rack of the bus.
