I ordered one of the Chevie Ray Vaughn versions @ $335 shipped and it's comparable to yours in quality. New NYXL strings brought some life into it but the pickups have a decent range of tonal options as are.
@@cecilhunter5228 this was pre pandemic about 6 months before and from point of contact with the seller it took about 2 weeks. They were quick to respond and sent me pictures of the guitar to accept or find another. I wasn't super critical as I wasn't expecting much but it was a good experience.
Man I think it looks pretty cool for the money. I’ve often though about getting a Ibanez J iceman made because the originals only come up for sale and they are expensive when they do. I’ve always thought the green and star iceman J had was the coolest and probably the only way I’ll ever have one is ordering a ChIbanez .
@@Latushka I actually have an Iceman in a local pawn shop lol it’s an IC300 with an EMG in the bridge and a super 70 neck pickup not hood up in the neck position. I unfortunately had to hawk all my gear a few years ago and I haven’t got around to buying my Iceman back. Luckily the pawnshops around me are more into pew pews, tools and jewelry and they don’t really try to move their music equipment they price the stuff at high retail no matter the condition and act like they have 90 percent of what the tag says on it. I’ve had luck with them buying back my own stuff but anything I didn’t pawn to begin with they won’t deal. It’s a shame because you’re lucky if they’ll loan 200 on a 1000 dollar guitar. If someone looses it they could sell it for 5 or 600 and make a killing and help a guy out, but nah someone will come pay them 900 for a guitar they got 150 in . Sorry about the rant but I’ve offered to restring and tune up a pawnshops guitar inventory and actually advertise it and try to sell it for them and then they could give me a percent in store credit. Basically zero risk for them and it would’ve given me something to do, but nah they weren’t interested.

Very cool, I'm saving up for a replica of Dave Mustaine's double neck V. Even if it plays like shit out the box (which is pretty much certain for all guitars nowadays) I'm gonna try my damndest to make it playable.
its hit and miss with these all of em but you can order what you want fretboard etc ,,,and i have a chibson les paul and its built way better than my real custom gibby my chibson actually stays in tune also ..i only had to do a fret dressing and put emgs in it and its better than a real custom gibby
tell me you've never played an actual Gibson Custom, without telling me you've never played an actual Gibson Custom... you have 0 videos of the supposed actual gibson, and it sounds like you're playing through a first act practice amp... so i'm gonna seriously doubt you actual had or have a "real gibby custom"... this is just the highest level of cope i've ever seen... it's cool to be satisfied with a chibson, but it's not even in the same galaxy when comparing it to a US custom shop guitar, maybe comparable to an epiphone since most of those are chinese anyway
