Hi, I'm new here. I found him on Instagram. I want to say that he's awesome. I want to wish for this channel to grow larger :DD. I want to say as well, I've always aspired to own a dean from hell too.
First of all the 2005 USA wouldn’t be available and if you could it’s highly collectible and worth 10K+. I own #44 and it’s only has a couple of chords ever played on it.
And, Dimes Original before Buddy Blaze had it Changed to what it is now…. If you look at the Guitar closely, u can tell that it was Strung Straight Through the Body(Originally). Becuz Dimes Original Dean from Hell has the Floyd Rose sitting on Top of the Body, there’s No Dug out Space as most Manufacturers do when they insert a Floyd Rose into a Guitar 🤘🤘🤘
Yeah it was originally a string though design. Dean didn't offer Floyd Rose bridges from factory back then. It's top mounted because of the neck angle. When a guitar has a Floyd Rose cavity on the body, it's generally recessed and designed alongside the neck angle. Dime, Grady, and anyone else involved had to work with what they had back then!
Honestly I have mixed reviews from the ones I've played, and more so negative at the moment. Maybe the examples I tried were lemons. I'd like to get some more on the channel to try and compare.
@@EricMorettin ah shoot that stinks. Mind you it’s a 79 ML, not sure if the qc is different for one or the other. What’s the thickness of the USA body? When I switched out the Floyd Rose Special to a German made one I swapped out the stock 37mm tone block to 32mm fat brass block, but even after that, the springs and block were rubbing on the back plate. Come to find out the stock one was 27mm.
I've got one from the last year they were made. It has the pau Ferro fretboard. It's an awesome guitar. Very well made. The dimebucker and dimetime pickups are great. The Floyd special is very good too. People like to bitch about them but they're good. Also they're the same dimension as the original, so you can upgrade them with original parts. I recommend them.
There are so many china made knock off dean and washburn guitars on ebay I started to wonder if my dean from hell guitar was a china dean or a china copy of a dean. Just looked at the back of the headstock like you mentioned and its a Y06.
People keep saying "Dime tax" when they see a used Dimebag related guitar for the current prices they're going for. Yes, they can be out of reach for some people. But if you look hard enough, you may be able to find a deal or negotiate a deal with a seller. A lot of the current prices are related to supply and demand of these guitars.
Because the pickups in the Chinese model are built (and are still being built) by Bill Lawrence's wife and daughter at Wilde pickups and are slightly hotter than the Originals...I have (4) of them and I actually prefer them slightly over the Originals. Just my opinion.

Hi, I'm new here. I found him on Instagram. I want to say that he's awesome. I want to wish for this channel to grow larger :DD. I want to say as well, I've always aspired to own a dean from hell too.
what tuning are you using in demo
1/4 step flat
Almost seems like the chinese one has a bit more attack which i kinda like
I got one but its darker blue and says Washburn dime 333 on it
Right on, that's a great guitar!
That’s One of the Things I Love about the Original Dean from Hell!!!!!!!🤘🤘🤘
Yeah it was originally a string though design. Dean didn't offer Floyd Rose bridges from factory back then. It's top mounted because of the neck angle. When a guitar has a Floyd Rose cavity on the body, it's generally recessed and designed alongside the neck angle. Dime, Grady, and anyone else involved had to work with what they had back then!
Hey huys. Very nice vidéo.
Do ya think it is possible, to share what seller you used , for your chinese guitare ?
How are the import Deans from the past few years? Mine was made in India
The luthier I took mine to for a set up said it was “fine.” Since then I’ve upgraded/changed everything except the tuners and nut. I’ve had fun with it for the year or so I’ve had it.
Also! What’s the thickness of the USA body? When I switched out the Floyd Rose Special to a German made one I swapped out the stock 37mm tone block to 32mm fat brass block, but even after that, the springs and block were rubbing on the back plate. Come to find out the stock one was 27mm.
Both my dean select and my dean 79 are both great as far as I’m concerned
@@BenjiHunter01 awesome! I've played some great Ml 79s as well as some ones that weren't so great
I've got one from the last year they were made. It has the pau Ferro fretboard. It's an awesome guitar. Very well made. The dimebucker and dimetime pickups are great. The Floyd special is very good too. People like to bitch about them but they're good. Also they're the same dimension as the original, so you can upgrade them with original parts. I recommend them.
the 06 chinease sounds great,
They are fantastic guitars indeed!
There are so many china made knock off dean and washburn guitars on ebay I started to wonder if my dean from hell guitar was a china dean or a china copy of a dean. Just looked at the back of the headstock like you mentioned and its a Y06.
Yours is legit then
@EricMorettin it feels a lot different than the made in Korea dean guitars. Thanks for the quick reply by the way
@@kevinfidler8074 probably because of the neck shape. DFH has a V shape neck and the older Korean models mainly had C shape necks
@EricMorettin maybe a combination of that, the dime slime not having paint on the neck, and the extra layer of wood on the body
Bought last week a China dime slime $300 hot sale now $400
Dime Tax?? That's somethin new..u have more info on this
People keep saying "Dime tax" when they see a used Dimebag related guitar for the current prices they're going for. Yes, they can be out of reach for some people. But if you look hard enough, you may be able to find a deal or negotiate a deal with a seller. A lot of the current prices are related to supply and demand of these guitars.
Is this bridge really god? (china version)
This one was fine yes. I've played others that were not good
I think the chinese manufactured is the good one, because the USA can be tough, d'you know?! Namastè.
What do you mean by tough?
My Chinese one has original Floyd
@@manueldelgado4728 probably upgraded
First one wasn't in tune when you started playing
Both guitars are tuned 1/4 step flat from standard
Dimebag used 425khz not 440. It is why, you thought was not tuned
I think the Chinese sounds just as good. Except for the neck pickup
They're very close to eachother
The quality of " Made in China " guitars has definitely increased.
100%
Saya main lebih ke rhythm.. suka bentuknya
Chinese sounds a bit better to me!
True
I have a DEAN ML from 1979 and it amazing. The new Dean junk does not compare at all.
I love those old Dean MLs. Would love to own one!
obviously the american is gonna be the better guitar but they cost almost 5 to 7 times as much
stricly no sound difference between the two guitars...
And they both feel very close
American looks better... Chinese sounds better. At least on this video.
Because the pickups in the Chinese model are built (and are still being built) by Bill Lawrence's wife and daughter at Wilde pickups and are slightly hotter than the Originals...I have (4) of them and I actually prefer them slightly over the Originals. Just my opinion.
I have an ESP dimebolt it's better then all usa Korea China Japan is the best at metal guitars
Sweet, would love to see it! Is it the Edwards model?
Оставте на свои палки не бил лоуренс а Фокин крашер х, это круче
Omg, the China made 1 is better😮
😮 the Chinese one sounded better
