I got to do the same with this guitar at Aftershock festival in Sacramento last October. Incredible… It literally was a magical moment in time. I am forever grateful to Rita and the crew for allowing me to hold and kiss that guitar… You can feel Dimes essence illuminating from it… Makes me emotional every time I think about Dime in general but holding that guitar as well… Goddamn I miss that guy…
Man that must have been awesome. And I don't know if anyone can relate to this, but Grady's voice is so iconic to me. From watching the Pantera home videos 1000's of times, hearing Grady's voice is instantly recognisable. Great video, thanks for posting. All the best, from Ricky in the UK.
@@AttilaVorosOfficial Maybe you can work that out? That would be so epic! What song would you do? Maybe the Dime Clinic? That would be so badass. Play side by side with the same guitar!
Very nice of you sharing the moment. I'll always love Dimebag, I met him when I was 16 at a concert he just went to say hi to the kids outside. We were so shy, he was so happy and energetic to to be alive and hanging with us. Amazing human being.
I'm betting just the smell of that guitar was amazing. If you're a guitar player you know what I'm talking about. Lol It's like fine cigars. Thanks for posting this and thanks Rita, Grady and PANTERA for everything they're doing for the brothers.
Man, what an amazing experience. Just to be in that house and where all the madness went down. But to hold that guitar. You are so fortunate man, thanks for sharing. Loved it.
Rita was touring around with this and a few other Dime guitars last year, I can see that weird leather strap at 11:20 in some of the pics I took hahaha. Stoked you got to hold it man
Dime said that guitar is priceless. You are very lucky to have seen it, and even got to touch it. Most never will but the music Dime made with that guitar is legendary.
What to say… Speechless… I am getting emotional 🥹 such an out of time moment, you can’t imagine at which point I am happy for you my friend we would all prefer to have Dime still playing over and over this DFH but same time who else but you can represent better his legacy… thanks for everything you are doing no matter about Dime or whatever, you are a legend!❤🤘🏻🔥
Amazing. Literally the holy grail of metal guitars. Would you be able to upload the raw footage of this complete so we can zoom in and hear the whole chat with you and Grady please?
Yes! I will upload that here! I did'nt even think of it from that perspective, just wanted to have only that part without me talking nuts... thanks for shedding light on it!
That’s properly awesome and so deserving for having put in the effort to keep Dimes legacy alive for us all. And thanks for sharing with us dude, have a great day! 🤘🏼👍🏼
Hello 👋🏻 from Kelowna ,British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦 Attila ! 😊 Thank You so very much for sharing your personal experience in Dimes guitar vault with his most treasured beast of a guitar! 😮 Man has that thing seen some serious action! Haha! 😄 It’s a true weapon of war! It has been put through the ultimate torture test and somehow with a shitload of love from Grady it survived it all. There’s probably no other guitar on earth that had the headstock snapped off so many times and was still being actively played live and on albums as well. Simply Awesome just like Dime himself! Very happy that you got to do this as we all know how much it means to you and you deserve it. 👍🏻 I’m sure that Dime was smiling knowing you got to hold the actual real Dean From Hell right in your hands and play it a bit. Massive Thanks to Rita and Grady as well for doing special things like this whenever they can and making sure Dime and his personal guitars will continue to be remembered by everyone that loves him and what he did ! That big coffee table book idea white lots of detailed photos and even stories about its history etc. that someone mentioned in the comments sounds like a fantastic idea ! I would buy that book immediately the very second I saw it, no question about that ! Obviously Grady, Rex and Phil and the guys in Pantera’s crew would have to be heavily involved to do that book properly and make it into what it should be for a book like that but it would definitely be worth doing ! Thanks again Attila for sharing this with all of us! 🤟🏻😊👍🏻.
Mind blowing! Im very happy for you my friend. In my opinion, If there is someone able to replicate Dime's sound, is you. Getcha pull! I hope to see you live someday, come to Mexico! And one request, please play We'll meet again and Forever tonight solos, love them they have much feeling. 🤘🤘
Dimebag Darrell was inspired by my Dime 333, which I had him sign in May 2000 at a signing event at Virgin in Paris. I had drawn an upside-down cross on it, and he loved the idea and turned it into a signature model. I should be getting paid for this !
Dime handed me a draft beer down from the stage with the headstock of this guitar back in the mid 90s.. I was a teenager .. It was before a show in Peoria Illinois.I got a pick also that says far beyond drunk with a Seagrams 7 logo on it...Good memories.
I remember a comment way back from a namm show video displaying dfh guitar... Guy wrote, "I bet it smells like spilled booze and cigarettes", so my question is, does it? Anyways congrats Attila, this is a dream come true! I spent a lot of time watching closeups of this guitar online but I never realized that it had a foam under the tremolo springs, as well as the hole under the foam. It's not a surprise that it aged drastically more than brazillia burst one since Buddy Blaze did all the work... I mean even if he brought it to a shop, it's a question which finish and clear coat paints did they use, especially seeing a kid that wants a guitar to be repainted... Anyway this is the most iconic guitar of the entire rock history for sure, or at least top 5.
I’m not 100% sure but what I could find said to be one of the last photos of dime when he was playing that Yellow & red Damaged plan guitar love Dime he was always super cool in my book❤
Dang I live I Arlington,TX..and used to play in the band at Vinny football partys..would have been kool to meet you....infact your the reason I bought a schecter e-1 sls elite 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hey Attila, thanks for doing these videos! I have a Dean ML and it is SO HEAVY, what is determining the weight, is it purely the wood it is made from, or the actual size/ thickness of the guitar itself. Thanks again
That’s a shame that has always been my favorite “pre Washburn” model and I feel like it’s always overlooked. Thank you so much again for sharing your experience!!! Also was that spring cavity hole all the way thru to the back of the bridge pickup too?!
Dude! You just broke my heart with those Washburns! I tought you were a purist! A true lover of Dimebag`s legacy!! Nah im joking the Washburns are cool
I would like just to have that room with all those guitars in it and everyday just grab a different case and you find out when you open it what you got.
I am curious as to what tuning method Grady used to tune the guitars to 425 Hz, did his tuners allow for calibration or did he tune by pointing the needle several cents lower on his tuner? Do you know Attila?
You should do a video about Dime's prototype guitars from different brands like the Jamer and the Bc rich, and of course the mysterious Ibanez prototype mentioned in Ola's video.
dude, i would have started play some pantera songs just to have put my fingers on dimes guitar where he actually put them once!!!! feel the vibe and getcha pull!
Id say mid! Grady said that Dime wanted it so that if He bends up the high E string, the middle part of the upper "meat" of his ring finger would hit the B string, if that makes sense... light strings, bit higher action ;)
Is that really the absolute 100% original DFH that Dime won then modded it with a Floyd, paint job etc? I just assumed he had a few of these guitars over the years as back ups etc.
@@AttilaVorosOfficial I'm on it. I'm amazed u got to actually handle that guitar. I got emotional just seeing u see it! I teared up mate, I'm not embarrassed to admit. That guitar is Dime. God bless you mate. RIP DIME,VINCE.
Pantera will never die! Their the most important band of the 1990’s not Nirvana there was plenty of grunge. Pantera on the other hand brought groove metal and they are the only band that got better and better with every album that came out! People will always say oh that bands first album was the best. I hear that about maybe every band but Pantera’s albums got better as they progressed who else has done that
It’s sad knowing that it’s and all of Dime’s guitars days are done. They’re doomed to languish away and go to shit. Unless Rita gets hard up for money. I kinda like how Jeff Hanneman’s guitars are out there doing what they’re meant to be doing. I think it’d be awesome if she were to gift them out or whatever. Then again I’d be bummed if some douchebag like mgk got his hands on one of Dime’s guitars. Anyway… nice video. I’m glad you got to check out Dime’s vault
