RIP indeed Lincoln! I only learned of his very sad passing today which was quite by chance when I saw Cockney Rebel on TV and thought to google his predecessor George Ford. I remember Lincoln very fondly from when he taught me bass at his little flat in Clacton in the early 90s. He was a fabulous musician - so much so that I probably didn't get to know him on the personal level as well as I might have given that I was completely in awe of his extraordinary slap bass skills! Over the years I often googled him to find out how he was getting on but I never had any luck as I didn't know his surname and just couldn't find him anywhere. I remember wanting even to let him know that I had stuck with it when I finally passed grade 8. I would struggle to guess at how old he was when he passed but can only hope that he was at least a decent age. Many thanks and rest in peace my original bass idol!
