Sting is in much better shape than most rockers from the late 70s and early 80s just by taking care of himself… it really shows in his music and performances JMHO.
I agree. Sting’s dedication to maintaining his health and well-being clearly reflects in his music and performances. It's impressive to see how he has managed to stay in such great shape compared to many rock musicians from the late 70s and early 80s. His commitment to self-care definitely contributes to his continued success and vitality.

Love Sting and really enjoyed watching his Andy Summers inspired guitarist play. An example of brilliant, melodic guitar playing without the overdriven thrash bang associated with rock music these days. Quality trio.
They don’t make rock stars like this anymore ! Hrs always been my hero I learnt guitar because of him , first song I learnt was a police one ❤️ glad I was a 70’s child x sting you’re amazing I saw the police ‘s last gig in Cardiff 2007 when his daughter and son played too . Great musicians and singers in their own right . How awesome having a Dad like him playing guitar and writing songs all the time . Yoga has kept him so strong health n fit ! Still got it gorgeous !! ❤❤
It’s amazing to hear such a passionate reflection on Sting’s influence! His career is a testament to both musical brilliance and personal discipline, particularly through his commitment to yoga and health. As a 70s icon, he inspired countless musicians with his unique blend of rock, jazz, and reggae, and it’s incredible that his children have also followed in his footsteps. His ability to remain relevant and in excellent shape over the decades shows that his artistry, both in music and life, is timeless. @@Sombre_Moon_sistermoon It’s truly a touching and heartfelt memory. Music often has the power to lift us up during tough moments, and it’s beautiful that your dad gave you something so meaningful to cheer you up. “Don’t Stand So Close to Me” became a special reminder of your bond, and although your father passed away, this memory keeps him close to your heart. It’s wonderful how music can carry emotions and preserve cherished moments, offering comfort even after a loved one is gone. What a beautiful legacy he left you with such a sweet memory.
Some zenith. Great singing along by the audience. No fussing, just fighting, as usual. So good - the up-tempo feels like the original speed. I first realized, then forgot about the tempo, and was reminded thereof reading the comments.
True that. The song’s groove is incredibly minimalistic and hypnotic, with a steady, unembellished rhythm that helps create the haunting, obsessive atmosphere of the song. Sting's emphasis on groove over fills lets the vocals and the message of the lyrics take the spotlight. This song thrives on that "less is more" approach.
I think it's not a bass he used to tour with previously. It's less worn-out. I know sting had two basses from the similar era so maybe this is the other one or simply custom shop replica.
a lot of artists play thier songs faster live. Some bands speed up the tempo of their performance in order to squeeze a few more songs into their setlist
Sting and Stuart used to argue and get into fist fights backstage about he tempo, one saying they were going too slow and the other saying they were going too fast.
This Guy bought a poor kid some shoes So he could attend A theatre with the school. Back In the day as a teacher. Good man Sting. Also paid for a proper burial of an unknown man. Who's body was found.
MEH 🫤- I’m 70ish and don’t dislike Sting now, but didn’t think THIS was a very good performance. I can’t really pinpoint what it was, however it seemed to be rushed vocally, and the instrumental parts were a bit repetitive. I WILL always 💖 ‘Fragile’ though - regardless of what year it’s done! In spite of my negative opinion, I give him credit for putting on live concerts, as I do others at his age and those even older (i.e. Mick Jagger who’s in his 80’s!).
@@TinoSchulz1990 This drummer is shit and is just a 'drummer'. Absolutely zero personality coming through with his playing, just like the last guy with the specs who was even worse. Sting has lost it big time.

Very disappointed at this betrayal. Respect for all his various band and most of his music, but if he's gonna do it like this again: That should be Stewart and Andy with him.

Another of an almost similar age who's in similarly good shape is Paul Weller. Good to see rockstars who want to stay healthy as they get older.
