      @
      Bruce Lee's first and best student, Jessie Glover, was a VERY close friend of Bruce AND Tommy...he said that Bruce had the type of explosive punching power that could stop an opponent's heart and, that in a lifetime of travelling the world and mixing with the best martial artists around, THE only guy he'd ever seen with similar speed and explosive punching power as Bruce, was Tommy...when Tommy hits you at that speed, he's going to cause you great pain and damage no matter who you are and exactly like getting hit by Bruce...there are a lot of very fast hitters, but without the bone-breaking power... the secret is to not lose your striking power by being so fast...

    • @stuartleggat7176
      @stuartleggat7176 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @
      Tommy's like Bruce - trained for real life, life or death street fighting.
      I've read comments from various martial artists over the years saying Glasgow was THE most violent city they'd ever been to...Tommy was a club doorman/bouncer for years here and was present and involved when mass brawls broke out resulting in some of his fellow bouncers being stabbed or battered to death. Tommy's been in more life or death fights than keyboard or gym warriors like you lot have had put together...like Bruce, what he teaches is to survive on the mean streets of this world and with no referee or cornermen to run in and save you...

    •  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stuartleggat7176 doesnt matter i train for street fighting first and formost thats what brazilian Gracie jiu jitsu is all about no holds barred but we also do competition too people who claim they cant do competitions are liars lol its a poor pathetic excuse to never defend themselves lol ohh im this fat fuck whos never proven myself im just gonna say i have a death touch and i cant spar because... im trained t kill... i cant take it easy.... so no.. i cant prove myself to ya... cause i might kill ya... lmaooooooo u see how pathetic that sounds honestly

    Bonne présentation mais il est important de souligner qu'il était (et l'est resté jusqu'à sa mort) l'un des plus proches disciples de Jesse Glover en Non Classical kung-fu. Pendant plus de 20 ans. Une partie importante de son travail provient de cette base et il ne l'a jamais caché. Cela n'enlève rien à la qualité de son JKD, bien au contraire, mais en dehors des déplacements, Ted Wong ne travaillait pas du tout comme ça. Pour bien connaître les deux écoles je peux l'affirmer sans travers.

      Tommy knows ALL about real life fighting. He was head doorman/bouncer for clubs and pubs in EXTREMELY violent and dangerous Glasgow. Tommy has been in more fights than he can remember and some of them life and death fights against multiple opponents, some armed with knives and other killer weapons. 2 of Tommy's doorman buddies were murdered doing their job.

    IS HE REALLY THAT FAST? OR DID THE CAMERA SPEED UP? I NOTICED MOST OF THE TIME HES NORMAL HUMAN SPEED , NOTHING SPECIAL AT ALL, THEN SOMETIMES HES THE FASTEST RECORDED HUMAN IN HISTORY. IM NOT SURE IF ITS REAL OR NOT. ALSO ON ONE OF THE FASTEST STRIKES THE SOUND SEEMS TO BE SPED UP TOO. IS HE REALLY THAT FAST OR FAKE? ALSO IS IT POSSIBLE HE PLAYED THE VIDEO BACKWARDS FOR THE 1 ARM PULL UP, ITS POSSIBLE TO DO THEM BUT IT TAKES A DEVOTED VERY RARE PERSON TO DO IT AND 1 ARMED PULL UPS ARE WEAKLY CORRELATED WITH MARTIAL ARTS EFFECTIVENESS?

      Dan0101010101010 I can answer that. Don’t know about the pullups, but He is really fast! BUT half of the clips are speeded up. I know since I’ve seen the full videos. :)

    I can do this at this speed its not BS or sped up its real but lots of arm punches which dont use full torque and are easy to make fast,
    and the frame rate of teh camera cant keep up with his speed because theya re not designed for that so it appears to "warp" it adds a little to teh speed I believe. Also fast isnt necessarily powerful! They are not heavy shots

    • @stuartleggat7176
      @stuartleggat7176 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are absolutely wrong!!!
      Jesse Glover was a black boxer and Judo champion. He was also Bruce Lee's first and best student.
      Jesse Glover said that in 45 years of travelling the world teaching, Tommy was THE only guy he'd come across in that time who had the same explosive speed and destructive punching power that Bruce had.
      Jesse reckoned a well placed punch from Tommy or Bruce had the potential to actually stop an opponent's heart beating such is the shock generated on impact.
      Jesse said he'd seen many guys who were fast, but none with the explosive penetrating power of Tommy n Bruce.
      Listen to Jesse describe Tommy below...

    yes, but this is USELESS - since only some are born with that ability? it´s like a tall basketballplayer teaching short players how to jump much higher. Carruthers is demonstrating his speed - that´s all? Impressive, but...good instructor? I don´t think so.
