for those of you guys talking shit this is an injector of a TPI a real torque monster motor not little engines or imports and its a fact there is no replacement for displacement or some shit like that, great video
Was checking the injectors on my 97 Regal with 3.8 v6. All the injectors were reading 1 ohm. 11.8 - 12.6 is where they are supposed to be. Have a mis firing on three cylinders; 1, 4 and 6. Previously, I had the engine idling to check for rpm drop when disconnecting each plug from the injectors , one at a time. All cylinders had about the same rpm drop as I unplugged each injector. These injectors are the original ones that came on the car since new. Possibly all 6 injectors are no good?
is there a way to check them not installed? or with a battery and wire b/c when my used fuel injecters come in the mail id like to be ready with my meter to inspect them infront of the mail man so i can refuse the package to avoid return shipping cost to the uk
In order to determine what is wrong when you have multi codes is to delete all and start again. Sometimes one triggers the others and you dont know which is the main problem. I got this advice from Scotty Kilmer Videos.
hi. i have a 5.0 that sat for a few months and now runs rough and you can tell its coming from the drivers side bank should i ohm check the injectors??? changed spark plugs and one on the drivers side bank looked diff from the other 7. could the injector be bad???? if so should i replace one or all of them???
Lots of things wrong with this video. 1) You shouldn't pull on the wire to remove the plug, you can damage the connection. Always pull the plug itself. 2) You should set the DMM to the lowest setting (usually 200). This way you get a more accurate reading. 3) You can't say that a reading less than 12 OHM's is shot. Some fuel injectors are low impedance. For example, the injectors on a DSM should read 2 to 3 OHMs.
I check mine. All the front 3 injectors 2, 4, & 6 were all between 15-16ohms. The back injectors 1 and 5 were between 12-13ohms and number 3injector was 19..Are those numbers bad?
i get no reading on mines .maybe not grounded right ???? do u gound the injector to the body some were maybe that whats wroung with my reading my codes are p0203 p0201 and p1297 need help try what u did and got 0000 reading no power ecm maybe singnal wire shorted????
Change the title to 12 ohm injectors and you can safely disregard point number 3. Some HIGH IMPEDANCE injectors may require the resistance to be HIGHER than 12 ohms. Every service manual specifies a resistance range that their particular injector must be within. ....but in the words of the Hodge twins, is just advice and at the end of the day, you can do whatever the FUCK you wanna do!
Can someone please tell me how to set my POS(Piece of sh**) CIE multimeter to the 20,000 ohm range so I can test my jeeps coil packs? All you can do on it is keep pressing the RANGE button to either 0.0, 0.00k, 0.000k, 0.0m, and 0.00m or something like that, and I can't find anywhere how to use the damn thing, and no video helps. I thought I set it to 0.000k, but I only get a reading of 0.002 k or 0.001 k, HELP PLEASE. by the way I subscribed.

Thank you very much...John! Appreicate your support here, and for the great info!
very nice of you to post this info. thanks

Is this test the same for any injector ?
I have a 2000 7.3 Power Stroke
Could you recommend an economical but accurate meter? Thanks. :)

below 12 they are shot? all of mine read 11.6 across the board lol
yeah, it doesn't matter if they are one the engine or not
Can one bad injector keep the car for starting?

@laurajdahl ive had good experiences with the cheapest digital ones at walmart. just dont get an analog one.
Yes, one bad injector can short all of them and prevent the car from starting.

good information, just keep it up
all 4 of mine read exactly 4 ???? its a d16a6 out of a crx si help
set it to 200 so you can actually see the tenths
@laurajdahl buy a fluke, expensive but brilliant
I probably wouldn't pull and wire clip like that.
great helpp man thanks
excellent
good video

I refuse to to take advice from some that cant read. The caption says this test is for HIGH IMPEDANCE injectors.
It's Bush's fault that my injectors are bad.
