I love that u really gave puma alot of praise, shows how objective you are, you shat on the older gen objectivley, and have no problem praising them when they get it right! And boy did they ever! They look sick and preform amazingly. Personally, i prefer the carbon, but still, the ultimate is great and feels like a more old school hardcore speedboot like vapor 8 etc.. great video!
All for the cheap price of an arm and leg 😅 But yeah, probably the closest thing you can get to a bespoke football boot off the shelf if you’re willing to pay the premium.
Once you try other brands, especially brands that aren't really available, you realize how generic, plain and overrated Nike and Adidas really are....not saying their terrible by anymeans.
If the shoe fits buy it in every color, so we have 4 Mizunos Alpha Elite, the best by far for quality and value. Happy to see Puma Ultra is pushing themselves out of the hype. Adidas at the end of the day is a disappointment, focusing on marketing, and releasing so many variations instead of something outstanding. I hoped that the Mercurial will be a really new model, but they look more like an update. Still attractive though. Thanks!!
My personal ranking as a wide footed person 11. alpha 10. f50+ 9. f50 LL 8. ultra carbon 7. ultra 6. skechers 5. furon 4. mercuriels 3. Morelia 4mij 2. f50 1. F50 messi ( I don’t like raised toe But I like a little bit of grip also I like comfort lockdown wide base and u thong construction)
I find the comparison of the Mizuno Alpha to the F50 offensive. Comfort, feel, and fit are not comparable. Alpha blows the F50 out of the water. It has the speed cage, the zeroglide, the enerzy foam and the karvo insert. They are completely different boots in my opinion. The Puma Ultra 5 at number 1 is a big surprise. I'd place them just behind the alpha and Morelia 4 but massive improvement from Puma.
Puma ultra 5 genuinely feels like merc 13 more than anything else I’ve tried. The upper is almost identical, weird non of the reviewers have mentioned this tho. Love it.
I initially brought the alpha elites but came across a made in Japan pair at a price I couldn’t refuse about a year later. I have to say the MIJ is actually quite a lot better. Both are good but I way prefer the MIJ it just feels so much more premium and light on your feet
It took a while to accept getting a pair of MIJ Alphas. I wanted to never like them, hated the shape until finally I found a pair of MIJ for sub $200. By far one of the best boots I’ve ever worn. Something about the traditional tongue makes them feel just right.
@@shamreazahmed8170 I had a small separation issue (quarter inch at most) within a month, used a shoe glue from Amazon and the shoe has been fine since. Only recently seeing more sole separation but after months of playing in them (from March 2024). I can probably get another 3 months out of them. Just normal wear and tear. I solely play on turf which can’t be good for any FG plate. I’d say if you get close to $200ish for MIJ do it, but if you can find elites for sub $150 well not a bad deal too lol. Definitely try on if you can they seem to run a little long. Hope That helps!
I just realised a 2024 "ranking all leather boots" video would be like 4 minutes long and only if Jeff did a lengthy introduction Please make a Lotto Stadio 200 III review, if it's availablr in North America... that looks like a direct competitor to the Premier/442/Gloro
Alphas studs feel weird to me somehow (FG.) They are short and plenty; combined with the stiff sole it kinda feels like walking on a business shoe lol.
I'm glad Puma revamped the Ultra. The 1.1-1.4 were some of the best speed boots around. The Ultimate was the worst speed boot I've ever worn. Excited to try the 5. Thanks for the reviews as always.
#1 should be the mercurial, just from new innovation IMO I hope they keep heading in the direction of gripknit type boots. Bending it like Beckham is going to be a whole new level once people get used to these type of boots.
The difference between them is quite significant when it comes to feel and playing experience. Also, like I talked about in the video, and like most of the boots lower on the list, while still very good, the Ultra 5 Carbon is very much an acquired taste because of how stiff that soleplate is.
Сын сезон играл в Nike, говорит - Air zoom нога быстро перестает ощущать 😮😮 Сейчас играет в F 50 + , говорит супер , только удар щекой не чувствуется - нужно подбирать...😊
Hey Josh, my favorite boot of all time is the Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 Tech Craft (Second tech craft pack-black with yellow detail) what can I buy in todays market that would give me the closest feel?
Morelia Neo 4 Beta would be the closest thing, although there are still quite a few differences in regards to fit and feel. MV13 TC is a tough one to compare to almost anything. It was such a unique football boot!
i really want the phantom gx 2 but im in between sizes 7.5 and 8 sometimes bc 7.5 is sometimes to tight but sometimes they fit good, idk either to go 7.5 or 8 i cant try them on bc none of my local stores have them.
Are morelia 4s really considered speed boots? They have full conical studs and a somewhat padded leather upper. They feel like light control boots to me.
Josh, what do you think about players who previously had contact with Nike but after they no longer had contact with Nike slowly experienced a decline in performance such as for example, Martial, Varane, Ramos, Casemiro, Asensio, Neymar etc.?

Is its upper any thicker than Vapor 16s and Alphas?
I tried on puma kings for the first time
Most comfortable shoes I have ever worn
Cannot go wrong with Mizuno. Japanese craftmanship after all.
All for the cheap price of an arm and leg 😅
But yeah, probably the closest thing you can get to a bespoke football boot off the shelf if you’re willing to pay the premium.
Could you do a ranking takedowns of 2024 video in particular Pro/.2 Models?
I second this
3rdsies
i dont think anyone saw p1 coming
Once you try other brands, especially brands that aren't really available, you realize how generic, plain and overrated Nike and Adidas really are....not saying their terrible by anymeans.
True. Brands like Adler and mizuno are my go to these days.
There's nothing generic about the new Vapor
@@RegenTonnenEnte I believe we've all heard that before
@@HIYOJAYO glad we're in agreement
They have to adhere to the common need as they are the most popular and need to keep sales up
We need a list for some TF

I would take the Furon over the F50's all day.
Furons broken well in are top 3
Same!

Are you referring to the mizuno alpha elite or the alpha elite MIJ?
@@shamreazahmed8170 I was referring to the MIJs as it has the karvo, but I ended up keeping the elites
Honestly, furons and alphas defo my top 2
definitely trying out the alphas and the pumas
what would you say is the best option for wide footed players?
Puma ultra 5 genuinely feels like merc 13 more than anything else I’ve tried. The upper is almost identical, weird non of the reviewers have mentioned this tho. Love it.
The Furon’s heel was super uncomfortable. It felt like a rock was jabbing into the back of my foot.
Same for me saddly, had to sell them instantly
I initially brought the alpha elites but came across a made in Japan pair at a price I couldn’t refuse about a year later. I have to say the MIJ is actually quite a lot better. Both are good but I way prefer the MIJ it just feels so much more premium and light on your feet
If they fit you right (big if), the Furon's are spectacular. Ranking them last is interesting.
I still love my razors

How have they been so far, durability wise? Would you still recommend them as in the MIJ or should I go for the alpha elites instead?

Not a ton of options left, especially when it comes to top-end models 🤷
Lotto Maestro 200 are awesome as well. Basically a Hypervenom 1 upper on a F50 soleplate
Wow, NB Furon coming in last place, speed boots are really at an all time high in terms of what we get these days.
Alpha still the top dog for me but id love to try out the new ultras. Like you said, on paper, everything you'd look for in a speed boot done right🙏🏻

Good innovation from nike. But the question is, what are they going to do with GX3 as the technology is applied on the mercurial line?

In what place would you place the nike mercurial superfly 9
Please do this for control boots
How can not say that the new balance fyrons are good since you praise them for being the best speed boot a couple of months ago??
