Get a pressure transducer and a labscope for diagnosing compression issues. Within 2 rotations of the engine itll show you everything you want to see with the waveform. With a conventional compression tester you can have valves not opening and still show full compression. The transducer will show intake valve open vacuum, intake valve closed compression, and exhaust valve open pressure drop. If you go that route its life changing I'll tell you what. Im going to be sending you something soon you might enjoy. And definitely keep it up with the day to day stuff, its cool to see what types of issues you guys get in a performance shop.
That's something that's not just convenient, its a good investment for the shop. cutting diagnose times down to like 30 seconds

I noticed when the camshaft broke that the upper alternator bolt went missing. It was there in the beginning. Maybe that fell out and got kicked up behind the sprocket and knocked/shoved it off breaking the camshaft? Just something I noticed.
good eye there. I've seen something similar where the timing belt tensioner bolt backed out and sucked up into the pulley. Didn't break the cam, but made it jump time and blow the head gasket out
Watched you guys for years, build my turbo prelude because of y'all, local tuners wanted $1100 to tune my car, I was able to watch your videos especially the older ones and learn how to tune by watching you guys!! Y'all are awesome, love learning from yall

On the 28th of December my family and I fly out to Denver for a ski trip in Keystone and I told my wife that I wanted to drive by Bandimere Speedway and see it since it is getting torn down. I've never seen a big drag strip before. Since I've become a follower of your channel and the BoostedBoiz, I would have really enjoyed to watch you all run at your home track. Hopefully our paths cross someday. Brent. You are a true saint!!

One thing I learned very much when i used to build hondas and engines, was to loctite the flywheel, crank pulley, and cam gears! It doesnt matter how torqued down they are. Ive seen them all fly off off multiple times.
Brent says "We broke the cam" just from the sound it made bouncing around in the engine compartment. The man has golden ears

That beautiful 4th gen lude really makes me want one again.. I sold my 5th gen years ago and have a ek3 4 door Civic now but I miss the lude so much. The 4th gen is the best looking one especially with the cool rev counter/dash. Thing is, they are impossible to find here locally if you want one that isn't rusted and bondo'd up 5 times already..

Buying old hondas with turbo kits forces you ways to test the gate. especially when you don't have a dyno. I used shop air through a welding regulator. I set the psi with the regulator and ran a boost gauge and my gate on the other side. That gives you insight into gate movement at different boost levels without having to run the car. Love you guys. Love Preludes!!!

i had the adjustment nuts come undone on my cam gears when i put them in my b16 swapped 91 integra back in the day. got lucky and it just moved the the max reverse adjustment. that kinda luck runs out when ya dont double check stuff out of the package. love the content. keep up the good fight!

Keyway only broke because the gear moved out on the snout and as the gear was wobbling it pressed the key through the bottom of the keyway. Its probably still good to use
