I purchased my 2020 KTM 300 XCW TPI and the guy I purchased it from gave me a brand new Voyager Pro with the bike. I have mounted it completely different than anyone else, where it cannot get damaged. I hooked every terminal you can to it and I can tell you I love this devise. I ride extreme enduro and want to see engine temps right away, not look to the side of my fan. This thing gives me a piece of mind when I'm way out in the middle of no where. It's very tough, look up vids and you will see someone spraying it with a high speed pressure washer on the face, then beating it with a hammer and it works like a timex. Anyway, a really cool item for off road bikes, it provides all of your bike information and GPS at the same time...to include realtime temps, engine temps, speed, altitude, and what I really like is you can place your truck location on the map before you take off for a ride. Then when you are way out in the boonies, you can find your way back without a worry.
Great Review! Excited to get one for my ADV, DS, and dirt bike trips. Tired of going places and not having the data this will provide me and my boys. Thanks!
1:43 The power to the headlight on the Beta is AC and not DC. Makes sense that it didn't work well. You could use the connection of the horn (if you don't use your horn obviously) and put a jumper wire to close the circuit.
Hello very nice presentation, it helped me a lot. But still I have a question. Is the V2V antenna ok to fix it on the rear fender horizontall or do we HAVE TO fix it on the head light number plate vertically?
looks good i just broke my phone , had it quadlocked to the middle of the bars. can you use garmin saved trails on this or ? so i can download trails to it
The only earbuds I've used have been apple earbuds but only because I have small ears and they are the only ones that stay in place. Not the most comfortable. We have since upgraded to Sena 50R th-cam.com/video/qBQ4crEJ9y0/w-d-xo.html so no need for earbuds in the helmet. Hope this helps!
When you ran it to the battery, is it always on and pulling current so that your battery dies or is it switched so it only pulls current when you start the bike? Thinking about adding this to my YZ250F for trail riding but don't want to kill the battery. Also, assuming it has standard mapping for way points markers, etc. How do you download additional map segments and get them on the unit? How do you charge it when not on the bike...is it just a USB 3.0 cable to hook to PC or something?
It has different settings. When run to the battery I put in on the setting so that it turns off once it sees the battery is not charging so it will not drain the battery. It comes with maps downloaded for the US. Check out the Polaris Ride Command website for mapping. The charging off the bike was one of my gripes. You have to have it on a dock like it is on the bike and then you can plug that in. Or if it's left on the bike you can run the cord from the outlet to the unit. www.trailtech.net/en-us/shop/accessories/digital-gauges/voyager-pro-gps/voyager-pro-gps-upgrades/voyager-pro-charger-ac-wall-charger-fits-voyager/
i am curious. does your beta still have oil injection? if so can you still see factory screen to see injection light or does trail tech have a feature for that?
I do still have oil injection but the factory computer only works about half the time. You can see it if you lean forward but usually it is blocking it. Trail Tech does sell a kit that you can wire in those lights to it if you wish.
Great objective review. Thanks ! 2 questions: -Can you download to the unit a gpskevin maps (they are an img file not a gpx) -it includes us city maps and topo maps similar to Garmin’s ?
Thanks Jose! Trail Tech has their own mapping which we’ve found to be very great. We’ve been surprised to be in the middle of nowhere and it includes desolate roads. As far as uploading your own, your routes have to be in gpx format. TT’s site makes it pretty easy to manage and I believe you should be able to check it out before purchasing a Voyager Pro. Hope this helps! They usually have someone in customer support answer the phones too and can give you 100% answers (it’s a real person you’ll talk to).

Great review of this product. I appreciate the honesty with the information. We ride in Moab, Utah quite often and I hate using my cell phone for the GPS. With is running, it heats up and the red dirt in Moab is harsh on a cell phone. I have been considering getting the Voyager to put on our Can Am sxs so we can navigate. Great job on the video. Oh... I was also wondering what wireless microphone that you used for this video? When I saw how windy it was, I was thinking that I wouldn't be able to hear the video well but it worked out great.
I think if you just uploaded the maps they would work for whatever countries you'll be in. But I would call and double check that with Trail Tech. They are easy to get on the phone and have great customer service.
Sorry I didn't see this comment earlier. I'm honestly not sure how many you can pair it with at once. I would give Trail Tech a call and ask them. They are very helpful.

And also, does it has a compass ? Thank you
It does not have the ability to “take” you there. It will not give you a magenta line to follow like a Garmin. You can see the trails and follow them or use a phone or computer before hand and mark trails on it. You need to create the track or route first.

I have quite literally beat the crap out of mine (and my bike) and the screen is still fine. I've been running it for about 5 years.
How awesome is it to have a girlfriend that rides too.
Thanks for watching Surfer. It is awesome having her along on all the rides.
You “dive” into it any more and you will drown
😂
Anything but Garmin, so sick of their monopoly of GPS and their terrible UX and nonintuitive design. Such a horrible overpriced company with very little competition. Im hoping this worked with uploaded maps from Google Maps with points
We've not tried anything from Google maps on it.
Does the Voyager Pro not have an odometer like the other Trail Tech gauges?
It does, you just have to set it to your bike. We switch bikes a lot so we just make sure to change the mileage when we do.
Assuming this does NOT work with the popular single track app TRAILFORKS hey?
If you can export gpx files off of Trailforks you could import them on to here...
