    I have a DELTA Unit, which is about 15 years old, in my present home. I noticed that this new mode is improved. Mine had a cheap plastic 4 to 5 inch 2 piece coupler from the single hot/cold line from plate to the flexible metal tube to the hand output.
    I've had to replace the valve that made it the washer less unit 6 times.
    Trust me, the faucet units that had washers in my 1951 built home didn't need serviced that many times in 70 years, rubber washers, and once the tool mini grinder.
    I like the looks of this new unit, and I will be installing it in my kitchen right after Christmas 🎄.
    Thank you for your video

    The instructions that came with the faucet did not match the parts included. I'm glad I found this video. It matches the parts in the box and made my installation easy. Thanks.

      The instruction manual indicates a 3 function wand, but the Grant box says on the box it's a dual function, which it is. I chose this pull out faucet for my kitchen. My plumber approved of my choice.

    Hey Chris, just wanted to thank you for this tutorial. The diagram in the instruction manual is near impossible for someone without a mechanical background to follow, and finding this video was like finding water in the desert. Thank you very much for this! Also, we agree that this is a great faucet. Cheers!!

    Thank you so much. I do not do this enough to be familiar with the ins and outs of installing a faucet. After watching your video it was so much easier than I was making it out to be. I do not know about anyone else, but to me the directions that came with the faucet looked as if they were written by a drunk sailor with ADD. They made no sense what so ever. That, and I am a visual learner. Thanks again.

    Everybody has their favorites, but my experience has not be good with Delta. I bought the Delta Signature Arctic Faucet about five years ago & about a month ago the hose split/failed contacted Delta because of the life time warranty, no problem, RIGHT? Wrong, they sent me a replacement hose after I provided 3 pics so that could ensure they were sending the correct hose, but when I got it and tried to install it I found it was different, Called Delta again, 45 mins or so later found that they had sent me the wrong faucet and no longer had the part I needed, so they gave me 70% off any faucet I wanted, got the Delta Grant off of their on-line store, because I had to, but not for the $100, but $241+ dollars, $72 + tax. Thank you Delta. Grab a Delta and your ankles if you're going to deal with these guys!

      Dang man I’m really sorry you had that happen with Delta! I’ve had customers tell me they tried to treat them that way before too, same with Kohler and Hans Grohe but I was always able to get them to send a free faucet. Next time that shit happens let me know I’ll work it out for you.

    Manual for mine was for another similar model but not actually mine. Had a few extra parts I wasn’t sure what they were for or if the black one is just a tool? Great video you made but I noticed my faucet also came with two white plastic ferrules. Are they required for the hot and cold water supply lines or not? Didn’t see you install on video…

    • @PlumbingExplained
      @PlumbingExplained  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@carlvarner709 no the ferrules are required if you cut and shorten the lines for some reason but I do not recommend you do that. The black piece is probably just the tool

      @@carlvarner709 If it’s black and looks like it has ends for nuts like octagonal or hexagonal ends one big one and some smaller ones on the sides that’s a tool for a different faucet I think

    I had the Delta cicero and that broke down in one way or another about 5 times. The whole faucet was turning around when we turned the handle. So I notice one of the mounting screws was missing I could not screw it out. I called a plumber. I had a new mounting nut sent out and when we tried to get the old mounting nut off we found it was cross threaded on so badly we couldn't get it off. When we used force the mounting pipe broke off of the faucet so I finally I had to replace it with the Grant which i bought at Home depot for $150.

    I love how you jump right in and go right to it, thank you. I'm currently installing the Delta Kessler, looks the same except there's a soap dispenser. I figured since this has the pull out sprayer I could use the hole where the previous spray gun was to put the soap dispenser but thie base that came with the faucet only has one hole. I fig I can either get a different base with two holes or make another hole in the sink for the soap dispenser. Which do you think would be best? Thank you again for your video

    • @PlumbingExplained
      @PlumbingExplained  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dang im so sorry I missed this Comment.... I hope you got it figured out... Yes absolutely I believe thats why they include the Soap in most of the higher end Delta Faucets to replace the old side sprayer! Dang wish I woulda caught this comment sooner... Im sorry... Thanks for stopping by!

    • @SusanPerreault
      @SusanPerreault 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PlumbingExplained No worries, it came with the long mounting deck and a smaller center deck that only uses one hole so I was able to use one of the other holes for the soap dispenser but I was left with an empty hole so I made a plug for it with silicone caulking. I think I will eventually get another soap dispenser and fill that one with dish soap since I put hand soap in the other one. I had read several comments and questions at the Delta website and found out that they don't make a deck with two holes. All good. Thank you!

    • @PlumbingExplained
      @PlumbingExplained  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes thats very common many people use two soap disepsners one for hand soap and one for dish soap I always think its kinda cool when people have two lol just dont forget which one is which! I would suggest maybe putting in an Insinkerator push button for your disposal in the extra hole or maybe a reverse Osmosis Faucet! Depending where you live I definitely suggest filtering your drinking water!

    • @susandemchesen2718
      @susandemchesen2718 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PlumbingExplained I considered a reverse osmosis system wtih a water spout for that extra hole but I just threw out our Britta Pitcher and got a Pur Pitcher plus several replacement filtes. As for the soap, I mostly only buy gentle, environmentally safe, cruelty free products so no worries there, even though I wash my hands more than most, pandemic or not. The water is mostly for cooking, dog water dishes and coffee. I prefer bottled water just because it's convenient and doesn't get that stale taste from sitting out although I gotta figure something else out because all that plastic isn't good for the environment. I'm saving up the caps to melt down and reuse but I feel a lot of guilt with regard to the bottles. Ooooh, quick question: I read that the water heater should be emptied out every 3-6 months..... do you have a video showing how to do that and if not, hint- hint (clears throat while jabbing you with an elbow....:) ~~~)

    After a few years, my Delta faucet is no longer swiveling. I've tried lubricants etc. Now the entire faucet has become loose because of the constant forced swiveling. I loosened the two screws underneath to attempt removal, but I cannot turn the nut. I've tried WD40, nothing seems to be working. It was so easy to replace my old faucet and now 100's of dollars later, this faucet is malfunctioning and I'll have to call a plumber to have it removed. The original faucet was $7 dollars and lasted 40 years. I thought it would be nice to have an 'upgrade'. lol.
