Good Job! I'm a 65 y.o single gal who is remodeling my house down to the studs in the kitchen so I have taken out this faucet twice for a "temporary" sink. I just think I am missing a part, will see. Things like this are so much easier than I imagined them to be. Not always fun
I give you kudos grandma. I'm 63 yr old male that has replaced many faucets in my day, but this one is a pain in the butt. I much prefer the old school faucets. Way easier to replace.
Thank you. This video isn't one of my best, but a lot of the time I only get a chance to make the video on the fly. I will be going full time soon, so I will be able to to many more better videos.
Your gentle, thorough, and visual explanations were exactly what I needed to execute this installation and I honestly couldn’t have done it without you. Good luck going full time and I know that you’ll kick ass!
So as a new first time homeowner I wanted to be very DIY and install this faucet. After reading the complicated instructions I got frustrated and almost called a plumber. I watched your video and it guided me to getting it installed. I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate this video
Thanks for the video. I was moving the faucet from one sink to another (kitchen remodel where I flipped the L from one corner to another) and was having the hardest time getting the hose to go down through the spout after I'd remove it from the first sink. You showed the arm pulled off which reassured me I would not break it. Worked like a charm! Thanks for the tip!

not garbage! not everyone can afford a granite countertop! my home as built in 1970 and I still use the 3 hole design. I will say one thing. the plumber(Aces 3) who came out to my home was very amateurish and just screwed in the middle when he was supposed to screw in the flanking 2 holes! I confirmed this with a plumber's supply store. in fact, they stated "he was a swindler not a plumber!"
Thank you for your video...I bought this same faucet new several years ago but for some reason I took the installation manual out the box. Couldn't figure out the white rubber washer...🤦🏾♂️guess it goes under the base that you are missing where you put the silicone...now I have to take it back apart. Also where you said the dish washer hooks to hot water 🤦🏾♂️I have a dedicated line plumbed to cold water thinking it has a built in heating element now i have to go back and change that. If it wasn't for your video i wouldn't have known...thanks again.
Glad to help. Yes, that white washer goes under it to keep water from getting under the faucet. As far as the dishwasher goes, it does have a heating element, but that helps to maintain the water temp as it washes and used for drying. You need hot water to fill the dishwasher, or it will not clean nearly as good as it should. I even suggest as a dishwasher tip that before you run it you should run the hot water at the faucet to draw it up. That way the water going into the dishwasher is already hot and not waiting for it to get hot.
Thanks for this video, this is the exact issue I was trying to solve. We have the delta faucet and upgraded our counter tops from the old style to the new single hole granite.
Thank you sir! Great video! You’ve helped so many of us! I hope your life is great! Ps: to get the head through I just twisted it and it found the hole didn’t need to take the faucet off
I bought and installed this Savile model because I thought the faucet could be installed with the handle in any location. It seems to be a good operation. The powerblast spray feature is useless. I would prefer a softer "flood" spray instead, as the option. What I want is a sink faucet I can place the handle in the middle, instead of the right or left side. I have a double sink. I'd prefer the handle in the middle, over the middle divider of the sink.
There will be a nut on the underside that will need to be tightened. There are a few different types depending on your model though, so I don't know how much more help I can be.
I have the same problem with the Charmaine model and I'm using the 3-hole base plate. This model comes with a sort of oblong nut with two screws in it for securing the faucet, but I couldn't do anything more than hand-tighten it as best I could before tightening the screws. No tool was included to help tighten it and the instructions are pretty much worthless. I'm hoping there's a tool out there that will allow me to better tighten the nut before tightening the screws, hopefully without having to disconnect the supply lines.
As with other comments, this answered our questions as to how to get the hose back down through. HOWEVER, as we were taking the crook neck off, a little black part broke. We since discovered that on the back of the crook is a black dot, It is the "pin" that snaps into place when you have it back in place. We should have pushed the pin in to release it, and then removed the crook. We have it put back together, but now have a hole in the back without it's "pin". :( It seems to be tight though. FYI for others facing this same challenge.
Thanks for your input. Always great when viewers give tips on their projects. If the neck starts to become loose because of that plastic piece, contact Delta. If you are the original owner then that should be covered under warranty. 👍 So glad to help! Thank you for watching. Check out hundreds more of our videos at www.aroundthehome.org
Is there gaskets already in the PEX tubing that comes with it? If I was reading the instructions right, IF you cut it you need to use the nylon included sleeve, but if you don't, I'm assuming there is already a sleeve built in?
Omg thank you so much!! I watched five videos that didn't show the entire process before I found yours!! I'm sharing your channel on my social media pages 😁
I believe he’s asking for a video to show removing the old faucet prior to installing the new one. I’m getting ready to tackle the job now and wondering what to expect when removing the previous faucet. Great install video!
i almost did the same thing,( removing the spray nozzle i just caught it intime ,but nice to see how to put it back in incase i ever forget and pull it out ,cheers nathan keep them coming
I just bought this exact faucet from Amazon. The only additional part I was hoping to see, that was not shown, was the bleeding of the water before the final connection. Is it a necessary step to do or can I just hook it up and bleed it through the working faucet?
Good question. That really depends on your plumbing. If you have a newer home, like less then 10 years old normally the answer is no. That is also assuming that you have copper or pex water lines. If your home is older, you have extremely hard water, or you have galvanized water lines then yes. To do so, simply connect the flexible water lines to the shut off valves first. Then flex them into a bucket and turn the water on for a few seconds. When the water is clear you are good. Then hook the water lines to the faucet and you are good. Thanks for watching, and I am glad to help. Don't forget to stop by our website www.greatwhiteninja.com
In my opinion the bleed is definitely necessary to rid of any debris in the lines. I purchased 2 new valves to replace plastic mobile home ones that for some reason were installed in only the kitchen. And the valves had little pieces of chrome paint chipped off inside. I highly recommend using Hercules tape for the threads to ensure a leak free joint buts that’s just me. We love our new sink and installation was very easy with the correct setup and tools
I know the lighting was weak on this one. I was on the job and decided to record with what I had. As soon as I can go full time YouTubing, I can remake a lot of these older videos better.
I guess that would probably work just as well. But I have never used that, so I can't say for certain. Thanks for watching and don't forget to stop by our website for many more helpful videos. www.greatwhiteninja.com
The handle has gone loose and makes sound when we turn on the water and how do we fix it??? This part of handle is not described how to fix it. Any solution? Mohan HathirAmani
@Larry Ziegler some Delta have a U clamp and some have a closed ring. If your model has the U clamp then there should still be one closed hole in it. That is for the hose coming from the sprayer. The two supply lines roughly fit inside the U, but as long as they are coming down without being pinched then they don't both have to be confined to the U.
Also, I wished I had a better camera setup on this one. It is an older video and I found out about installing this faucet last minute so I only had my phone. I propped it up on whatever I could find.
I'll be honest. The way that you asked your question makes me think twice about answering. When asked questions like that in person and then someone does it, but not like I said or they left out info then they came back at me. So let me answer the best that I can, but say that I am not in anyways responsible for the job that you do. Nor if you left out info or left out a step that I described. In all or my experience with granite, 100% silicone does not harm in anyway. It is what the installers use to attach it to your cabinet. It is used as seals for faucets when they don't have a seal of their own. It is even the base of the sealer used when granite is installed and is suggested to re-apply every 2 years. If you keep your silicone bead the correct size and not over-apply it should be fine. Silicone has only a medium bonding ability so it can be pried off when needed and then use a razor blade scraper to clean off any left over. Just make sure that the granite is dry and clean before applying the silicone seal then carefully wipe away any extra. I hope that answers your question.
Thanks to your video, I now understand how to install this and that I will want a 10" base plate and probably the proper Delta wrench. I'm not sure which faucet I have, but I'm 95% sure it's the Delta Leland. I know I can buy the Leland wrench on Amazon, but some people who bought it still had issues with it being the wrong size. What size of a lock nut goes on this delta faucet? I have tried searching different places but they all seem to be just a bit smaller for some reason, I got the 1/2 I believe and didn’t work. If anyone knows what Delta kitchen faucet use for a mountain lock nut size they use please let me know. Thanks so much!

If you have a place that is really tight and you don't have much clearance, then I would suggest to go to a store with a display that you can physically play with. On this one the handle does not move that far. If you would consider the handle like a clock hand where off is straight up or 12, then it moves roughly from 10 to 2.
@9:19 How did you unplug the hose? Did you press something on the side of the hose? I just installed a new Delta faucet but there is no instruction how to unplug it. Also, when you plug it in, should you hear a click?
On these Delta brand faucets, there is a blue clip that holds the hose to the faucet. When that is removed the hose can slip right off. Does that help?
@@AroundTheHome1 Thank you for your reply. So if I want to unplug it, I just need to remove the clip and then pull it apart? Do I pull it straight back or do I wiggle it a bit while pulling?

Not on flexible supply lines. Flexible supply lines like the ones that come built on have a full spinning nut and a rubber washer like a water hose. Using tape on those threads is completely useless because if the water gets past the washer, then it will spray out from where the nut spins on the hose. The threads hold no water back.

Not on flexible supply lines. Flexible supply lines like the ones that come built on have a full spinning nut and a rubber washer like a water hose. Which includes building setups for videos like this so I can show all angles of an install.
2 bad the lighting is bad under the sink, otherwise great guide
