"Three gang!" (Neither are actually at three lol). Loved this game. I'm getting into cedh with some friends online, so I'm always excited to see some different strategies than I'm familiar with. I plan to take inspiration from Yuriko ninjas as a draw engine and Jetmir rundown with stax effects to slow the game down.
I dont know if yall watch Serge's home stream but its a running gag that Serge is always " Off by One" when counting .... there even is an emote lol...So the fact he is off by one here is priceless and on brand

small note, archivist of oghma only triggers when an opponent searches their own library, the praetors grasp at ~18:30 shouldnt have triggered it
Phenomenal episode, couldn’t believe Serge’s luck but still incredible, loved Serge and Crim as guests and the wheeler episodes as well, hope to see more of the three of them.
I know there's a running gag that Serge and Jim look alike, but I seriously thought Jim was in the thumbnail twice.
Notice how they are conveniently sitting on opposite sides of the table… something is fishy here!

I haven't started the game, but I wanted you all to know how much I hate that I love the opening up the Bastions section with the music. I shouldn't be singing along "solid as a rock" to a short sponsor shout out, but I am.
It does help that the bastions are actual, factual, solid deck boxes :)

Maybe I'm missing something, but here goes: when Jan Dismembered Yuriko (at around 33:39), couldn't Serge just have her die and immediately Ninjutsu her back in? Would have prevented all of those Niv-Mizzet triggers.

44:00 Jan, holding onto Praetor's Grasp because of the Opposition agent isn't actually relevant.
Opposition agent jumps in when an opponent is searching their own library, but since Grasp has you search an opponent's library (not your own) Opp Agent doesn't get in the middle.
I'm curious what Jan got from their Vampiric Tutor, since they followed it with 2 turn cycles of functionally nothing.
Does Archivist of Oghma also trigger from effects like Winota?

Question, for Archivist of Oghma, it says "whan an opponent searches 'their' library, you gain 1 and draw a card. Does that still Activate if and opponent is instead searching Another Players library?
No it doesn’t. I believe they made a misplay. Archivist does not trigger when an opponent searches another players library. They have to search THEIR OWN library. So archivist does not trigger at all.
Correction to my earlier comment: I made a mistake. I did some research, apparently it still triggers on Opposition agent. Because even though you are controlling, they are still searching the library. It’s not a replacement effect that makes you do the searching for them. Sorry for the confusion 😅

11min- when gilded is used on the commander, does the owner of that commander have the option to return it to the command zone rather than gilded drake taking it and resolving?
The commander never changes zones. The battlefield is one zone, not separate zones for each player.
Any game with Crim is sure to be amazing

Phantasmal Image doesn't have an ETB trigger -- it copies as a replacement effect that modifies how it enters the battlefield.

Not sure if Serge is aware, but with Yuriko, you can have it die multiple times in combat, and ninjitsu any number of times with an unblocked creature ...

It's shocking how people don't treat Rhystic Study like a Sphere of Resistance. Crim won the game solely off of that Rhystic Study (and some nice politics and tight play, of course), it baffles me that people aren't willing to tutor removal for it. Rhystic Study is ONLY that good when you don't respect it, STOP FEEDING THE RHYSTIC STUDY.

Archivist of Oghma only triggers when an opponent searches their own library, not when an opponent searches another opponent's library; it shouldn't trigger when Serge searches with Opposition Agent, and it shouldn't trigger when Jan searches with Praetor's Grasp.
I think technically for Opposition Agent that player is still searching their library, but the Opposition Agent player controls them during the search. It's a weird case.

Krrik and Yuriko player here... sad to see Krrik being targeted early...
In such cases it is always most sensible to target the (mono) black, and particularly Krrik player first - they are most likely to use life as a resource. And depleting the enemy of resources is kinda the goal, particularly in high end EDH.
(As a joke) i dont think its ever a legal game action to discard a murkwater pathway. Since murkwater cant exist in the game unless its in play, being an mdfc.

Could you explain how yuriko is not cedh? Everytime I play against her she feels oppressive, she dodges tax draws cards and does big table wide pings that are usually unavoidable.
