If you are in the upper-midwest, just know that the process for this is the same.... except you'll need to spray penetrating on litterally everything the day before you attempt this. You will also need a torch, a cutoff wheel, and 4 sticks of dynamite. Buy all the mounting hardware beforehand... you will not be able to reuse anything. Just go into it knowing everything will suck and be stuck and impossible.
And they charge you a 150 dollars per shock to put them on now. Note, if you miss the hole when your putting the shock on, then put a jack on the frame and jack it up till the bolt fits in the hole.
That’s what happens when you pay a professional to do it. Everyone knows if you do anything yourself it’s going to be cheaper. Build a house yourself. Cook food yourself. If you go out to eat pizza they’re gonna charge you $25-$30 for that pizza but in reality it only cost them 3 to 5 dollars to make it

I thought I had to use a jack on my old 69 custom 100 back in the day but that might have been because I snipped the retaining wires and primed them according to the stupid instructions on the box. BTW those HB gloves are tough aren't they. I was working on my 83 f150 carburetor and accidentally got some carb cleaner on my hands and those gloves melted on my hands 😆 Thanks again

Exact same in the northeast. Just replaced the rear tank filler tube on my 96 f150 yesterday. Still getting rust out of my ears.
