I agree Eleanor needs help but is not getting it. The situation would not be this bad if they got her help when she was younger. They are horrible parents. Jake is their golden child.
so you ignored your daughter for your son because he fit into your standard stencil of how a kid should be. then proceeded to shower him with affection. then when your daughter went to college and finally felt as if she belonged and had someone, she without any proper reasoning dumps her, and she finds out that shes about to marry her brother. and whats sick is that the brother is marrying his sister's ex, who she was in love with. then they proceed to ignore her over and over and then file a restraining order against her. yeah. you wonder why shes about to explode. aah. she aint delusional. she was born to parents who failed at being her parents. she had a brother who chose himself over her. she had an ex who decided, she wasn't worth the effort and brother was a better bet.

And it also sounds like your both downplaying how you favored Jake and that therapist has let you both off the hook for not seeing a very long time ago that your daughter needed nental help..
It's always a venue. Not a reception hall. Not a country club. Not the church basement with the women's guild making food. Somebody has a fabulous job like a pediatric surgeon or a international eco warrior.
@@brandinicole1372 I totally get that but too many details were word for word the same. The wedding threat, the graffiti, backdrop, the father and mother arguing about the former’s hero complex. Again almost all of this was described exactly like the original down to wording. The only difference is one sibling is male was marrying a woman. That and details were added, probably to adjust to the gender swap. I’ll see if I can find a link.

Its sort of a symptom of toxic masculinity: That the husband must 'protect' his family and fix things for them. However, Jake, Emma and Sarah had a need to know and there was no reasonable cause not to tell them what was happening. Eleanor was clearly unstable and there was no telling what she might do on the wedding; she could have turned up with a gun or a flask of acid to throw in her ex's face. Not telling anyone else was basically hoping for the best without any real knowledge what was going to happen.

AI wrote a very crappy story. First the dil is a brilliant Dr./surgeon but later on in the story she switched from premed to business.
Not buying Emma the whre’s story, at all. Eleanor’s entire family sucks.
Aint this just a rip off of a already existing post? Like they just gender flipped one of the siblings and barely changed/added a couple details.
