    Great video. I liked your description of the road. I always wanted to go up Clark's Grade but I don't think my older 2008 Silverado 2 wheel drive could handle the rougher sections you describe. Beautiful campsite. Thanks for the trip.

      Thank you 🙏🏽 That would be very tough to do in just 2WD. Or if you do decide to go, having someone that could possibly pull you in a tricky situation would be nice.

    Didn't know this trail existed. I recently did Coyote Flat in my Tacoma and camped at Funnel Lake. Started at 3000ft and ended up at 10000ft. Good to know there's a mountain nearby I can camp at when I get the itch. Subscribed 👍

    I just came across your channel and I’m a fan now! I’ve never camped at yellow post sites because I’m so overwhelmed with all of the sites in SoCal. I appreciate you explaining the road conditions as you’re going up. Gives me an idea on whether or not my Subaru crosstrek can make it up. I’ll have to check out this site with my husky. Thanks!

    Great video brother!! Editing, flyover commentary all top notch! As a Los Angeles native I love getting out that way as well. One thing to think about is maybe getting a hunting license to keep your pup safe. Coyotes are smart and the females are experts at luring dogs out to the pack! Being able to put a couple of those down when they were around you would have sent them all running. Either way i look forward to your future content. Be safe!

      We always have our weapons on us just in case as a last resort. Plus I’d hate to scare the 2+ other camps within 100yds of us. But if we were deep in BLM land, I know my buddy wouldn’t think twice lol I’ll have to look into getting a hunting license.

    Hey man, the algorithm put this video on my feed and I checked it out. Love that camping spot with those rock formations. I want to go out and find it. You said you were near Bluff Lake. I looked for it on a map and there’s all kinds of roads around there. Any idea what road you were on? I see Mill Creek, 2N21, Sky Line Dr, Clark Summit, what is that road behind your chairs where I saw a car drive by during your video? Will I see that rock formation from the road?

    • @Camp_Peters
      @Camp_Peters  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We were along 2N86 (Kidd Cr RD). It was about just North East of Bluff Lake. You should be able to see the rock formation from the road if you look carefully for it. We were on the North side of the road.

    You never showed the hairpin at the beginning of Clark’s grade! Sometimes easy, sometimes not, depends on previous winter.

    • @Camp_Peters
      @Camp_Peters  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Now that you mention it, I remember doing a 2 point turn at the beginning because of a sharp hairpin. But it wasn’t bad, must’ve been taken care of from the previous winter.

      @@Camp_Peters I’ve been up there at the hairpin turn when a 2 Wd could almost make it and I’ve seen where my jeep really flexes to make it up. Been going up there since 1974.

    Hey brother you think a lifted Subaru outback would make it on that trail?

    • @Camp_Peters
      @Camp_Peters  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely! I believe a stock one would do it. Just a bumpy ride 👍🏽 Clark’s grade itself essentially has no obstacles. The 1N09 trail has some light obstacles that will have easy lines to take. Just watch out for big rocks on the trail 😂

    Hey Luke! Was there any water up there for fishing ..other than the actual big bear lake ? Thank you bud!

    • @Camp_Peters
      @Camp_Peters  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We camped near Bluff Lake. Not sure if there is any fish in there, but it seemed to be gated off anyway.
      Driving through Bear Creek, that seems like it is a good possibility for Trout! I’ve also heard Cedar Lake has some Bass.

    Nice video bro! Did you start the 1N09 from the 330? Looks like a solid 30 mile ride up to Clarks Grade Summit. I usually come up the 2N02 trail from Pioneer Town. Thinking about taking this up, camp, pit stop in Big Bear and then work our way down the other side via 2N02.

    • @Camp_Peters
