I cried my way thru this vid. I need to drive these same roads and visit these same places. My soul longs for adventures just like the one in this vid. THANK YOU SO MUCH
I use to call in the mines in Nevada, it was so interesting going 30, 40, 60 miles off road to visit a customer. Nevada is a special place. There’s more mountain ranges in Nevada than any other state. Over 300.
I’ve been exploring Nevada for forty years, living on the state line with a Toyota Tacoma TRD that can go anywhere and never needs repairs! I kayak in the lakes, I mountain bike the single track and game trails, dirt roads and desert sands and I keep going back! Those Aspen groves are my favorite places! Great video, relaxing music. I like that you leave no trace, respect and leave these special places better.
We lived in Nevada all our lives. We explored much of it, but there is so much back country one could spend a lifetime and not see it all. Absolutely fascinating! Thank you for sharing your travels. P.S. Finally, someone who knows how to drive those mountain roads.
I haven't read all the comments but thank you for not just blurting out where this is. I've been coming to this place since I was a young boy in the mid 1970's. One of my favorite places on the planet and don't want it ruined by too many people since there's more than enough that are up there and growing year after year. We've already been invaded by California enough. Also you got lucky, there's usually A LOT more people there than that.
Heh, I had a LOT of people get mad at me for NOT saying where this is. :-) But many, like you, also thanked me for not disclosing it. The comments on this video prompted me to make a whole video explaining why I don't share locations. :-) Thanks for watching!

Good video friend. I’ve been living in Nevada for 27 years and something about these mountains won’t let me move out of here. I love Nevada. There is so much to explore here

Outstanding filming and orchestration of music that melds with the natural beauty of that place, I’ve been all through Arizona and New Mexico and have experienced breathtaking landscapes but I think my next trek is going to be Nevada.
Having explored most of northern Nevada by 4x4 a must have is the Road & Recreation Atlas for Nevada. It will distinguish the dirt roads by difficulty level so you don't get caught on a road where you don't belong. That said, Nevada has almost the most (in square miles) accessable open land to explore in the U.S. Beautiful country!
Thank you so much! These trips and the subsequent hours and hours of editing would genuinely not be possible without support from viewers. I truly appreciate it. 🙂

Thank you for sharing this wonderful trip. That lakeside campsite was the icing on the cake. Gorgeous and serene. It’s exactly the type of place that we hunt for when we go exploring. I’m antsy to get back to doing this but our exploring is on hold until the love of my life publishes his book on Gravity “Why Stuff Falls Down”. I’ve been editing it and we are now waiting for a proof to arrive Monday. Yay! After everything is OK’d I want to get out into the wilds again. Which is ironic because we actually live on 45 acres of wild forest. I think seeing new places is good for the soul. Adventuring is exciting. That, and for me it means new things to paint and draw.

Stunning scenery...best 20 minutes I've spent in a long time! There are loads of overlander's that I have drifted away from for various reasons but you and Destination Adventure stick with me, you both camp like I do, travel like I do and enjoy very similar things out there...as I do. Whenever I see the abandoned houses and cabins, I think of all the work that went into the failed dreams.
Maybe the people that built it lived their dreams, and then next person that came around failed to maintain it.
It looks like the remnants of a beautiful success to me. By FAR, most homesteads were demolished or abandoned once actual villages and towns were established.
It is an amazing thing, to wonder about people that have been.
I was coming in to comment with a similar thought.
Maybe the original homesteaders lived out their lives as intended.
